$20 off Your McDonald's Order @ Uber Eats (New Customers)

1340
FRYDAE

Edit: Title updated. Whilst the promo is advertised as 'Free Large Fries and Large Sundae', the Coupon code appears to take $20 off your McDonald's order, regardless of what you order. Thanks Yesall for confirming. Similar to the previous deal but with a bigger discount.

Fans who are first-time users of the Uber Eats app can use the promo code FRYDAE to redeem a large Fries and large Sundae, available exclusively to new Uber Eats users via the Uber Eats app.

Remember, the free combo is only available for new users who place their first order on the Uber Eats app with a participating McDonald’s restaurant.

It’s bad news if you already have an account. But maybe you can find out which of your mates don’t and convince them into enjoying a combo together.

You have until Tuesday, February 12 at 11.59pm to make it happen.

The combo is valued at $20 and includes the delivery free. Not a bad offer.

Saw this pop up on several news feeds, but couldn't find any official press release about it.

The combo is valued at $20

    wtf really?

    • News Corp reporting at its finest.

      • ahhh it's from a news article. I thought it was from some McDonalds promo page.

        • there is a difference?

    • it includes the delivery fee in that $20

      • +2

        Am I doing this wrong?

        Large Fries: $3.40
        Large Sundae: $4.20

        So… delivery fee $12.40 ?

Edit: prices for uber are different to in store, adjusted

  • +1

But we still need to pay 5$ delivery fee ?

  • Wait so we pay for deliver ($5.95) in my area and we receive a large Sundae & Fries?

  • +7

Thanks, OP. It seems you don't have to order large fries nor sundae to claim this offer. The total value of this offer is 20 dollars, you can order anything you want. I just ordered the big mac meal and it worked. Hope it helps.

    • Thanks, updated title and post to reflect this.

  • Good deal if you like Maccas, $20 worth of junk delivered for $5.95

    • +1

Or $14 worth of junk for free (in my area $15, since we have distance based delivery and my local Maccas is a $4.95 restaurant)

      • Dinner sorted if it’s still working in 6 hours

  • How hard is creating a new Uber account - do you just need a unique mobile number and email address?

    • Unique number, email address, and payment method.

      • what happens if

        Unique number and email address

but same payment method and it goes through? can they claw back the discount due to same payment method?

        • Don't think they would do that. You just won't be classified as a new customer so code won't apply.

          • @Abbi: Can confirm that they do indeed do so.

            • @Zazer: Claw money back after the sale and delivery has occurred? Very much doubt it.

              • @Abbi: Oops, my bad! I messed up my comment somehow, and didn't get alerted when you replied. :/

Sorry, I meant to say it works with the same payment method, not that they claw back the discount. Sorry again!

        • Would cost them more to chase it up….

        • Can confirm it works with different number and email address with same payment method. I might have done it a few times..

          • @Zazer: You need to have everything different, phone number, email, payment method, and phone because they check imei. They are quite thorough with how they do this which obviously allows them to pay people to sit on every street corner handing out $15 discount vouchers to everyone.

If it were easy to bypass they wouldn't be able to offer so many new customer discounts. It's actually quite difficult.

            • -1

@Abbi: That’s strange, I’ve done it 4 times at this point.

      • and there is a limit on how many accounts you can have on a mobile. They do IMEI checking

    • +1

Wrong…. u need a new device for every 2 accounts u open but would need 2 mobile numbers and 2 email addresses. It saves the Imei of the device. U can add up to 2 accounts if done on the same day otherwise by day 2 it won’t work for the second number.

      • What if you create the account on their website, and just have the confirmation text sent to your new number (in an old phone)? Or are they mapping the IMEI to the numbers…

    • Can only use same payment method twice. I set up a new email and a new SIM just for this. I went to use my same payment method the third time, their system became aware. Said I had already used the voucher code when I went to use a different card. I think they're getting smarter at detecting fraud.

  • +3

Confirmed, as long as total is $20 or less including delivery, then it's completely free for new accounts. Thanks OP!!

  • thanks worked getting food for kids to hot to cook :)

  • I better drag my sorry carcass off to Maccas…

  • +1

Have people really not ordered off ubereats before? So many new accounts only deal but I don't know if there's any way to take advantage of these.

    • +2

Free Telstra SIMs for new numbers?

      • +1

Even better - make up to $30 profit with the numerous Cashback SIM deals here. Receive active new number, free calls, txt, & data. Set up new UE account.

I've got 6 Amaysim to activate in next week. Amaysim numbers stay active for a year. Paid $60 for 60GB, with $200 cashback coming😉

        • One of my amaysims, I just tried to use for this deal and it had already been registered to Uber eats. I also got a few strange text messages. To be expected I guess, with these Cashback deals haha

          • +1

@mamabear15: The risks with any "new number", including the free Telstra SIMs😱 Someone has used it before.

QLD Transport contacted me by text demanding payment of a fine on my new Telstra number. They said that happened frequently.

        • Hey infidel can you see the cashback in your CR account yet, or will it only show up when you activate the SIMs?

          • +1

@wellzi: Cashback shows up when Amaysim gets around to checking it met conditions & not refunded etc (long wait), passes it on to another business, then onto CR, & only then to us. So a long wait yet.

Only just provided ID for 1 SIM, got full 28 days. 5 to go next week from CR & ShopBack.

Never missed a Cashback. Been doing this for about 2 years.

        • So would you keep a spare phone to do this? Activate all the different SIMs with the one phone? I missed the deal, but well worth noting for when it does pop up again!

          • +1

@zubellas: Depends on your need for the SIM. I mainly use them for data. Each comes with a handy number!

So $10 for 10GB (eg use in old phone as WiFi hotspot), make calls etc & get up to $40 back! I keep my main number on another SIM (long term prepaid) which costs around $5/yr, porting out & back once a year📱

    • +2

My first time. UE wasn't available in my area when I last tried.

      • you just gonna have to do what Elaine did, walk/drive to the front of someone else's house (which is in the delivery area)
I'm in same situation, GYG does not deliver to my suburb but the suburb next door is A-OK - only doing this for orders with large discount

        • +1

True, but without these deals - I wouldn't bother.

UE was only moving into my area when I last tried. Set up account, then found no deliveries even close by.

It's over 10 years since I last ordered food (pizza) delivered. Depends on your location & lifestyle. I'd rather cook my own food or eat out.

If I had to walk/drive to meet a delivery - I'd already be at the store… Maccas is 15 minutes return walk - I rarely eat there. GYG etc are a bit further. Wouldn't pay for delivery. I'd rather get the exercise & eat out🍴

    • I don't like the idea of having food delivered, as I like to go out and get it myself. This deal probably still won't push me to download ubereats.

      • +1

I like eating out🍴 Paying more not to have restaurant service & atmosphere (maybe not at Maccas) seems wrong to me.

Just ordered through the website - shows tracking. Unlikely I'll be ordering much, & probably from a different account if I do😉 So won't bother with the app.

  • just wondering, can they say the deal is not valid and then later in the future charge you the full price ( without discount) ?

  • +2

I do not agree with the nonsense markup pricing but….@$6.60 I will let it go for my lunch lol.

  • +1

    thanks :)

i took the delivery fee into account, which left me to play with ~16,
Large 10pk nugget meal with large fries and a coke

    Cost: $0

Its maccas so therefore = shit.

But if it means free lunch for a day then im in.

    • +3

      …maccas… = shit
      ….means free… for a day…im in

Would you eat shit if it's free? I'm confused!😕

  • I have a good mind to get this for dinner tonight, but the problem is would ubereats be overwhelmed before then? hmmm

  • +5

Tip: add cookie boxes $1.25 each, to make use or any leftover amount in free credit .
Can even just order 1 item, then add rest in cookies rather than wasting it.

  • epic deal

  • +1

odd. I don't even see McDonalds as a restaurant. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Same. I would assume that my area doesn't have a McDonalds that does UberEats? But idk

    • +2

im guessing not every franchise delivers. Mine doesn't, but if I change my address to one further away it shows up

      • +1

you're right. strange though as I'm pretty much in the middle of 2 maccas.

        • +2

Me too. Sucks gas. You can do what I did, which is to have it delivered to a landmark or train station and pick it up there. It works but it kind of defeats the purpose of delivery.

  • -1

    okay so i clainmed once

and then unistall reinstall app and tried to set up new account .. i set up everything - new phone number, email, pw, name but at the end i get redirected to the main screen saying " get started with uber eats" i tried entering 5 times but still goes back to main screen

anyone else having this problem and know how to fix?

    thanks

    • Sign up using desktop site instead of the app

      • +1

will do. now need a new email address.

        • nope. no maccas or mcdonalds. poo

      • +1

        thanks

lol made account online, when placed order, they said gotta update mobile in app, but my app wont let me sign into another account

  • Large Lunch delivered under $2, you're awesome OP

  • Thanks.

  • So can this be used with a referral linky too? Or does this count as a new user sign up code

    • Counts as referral :)

  • +2

And they say there's no such thing as a FREE LUNCH! Thanks OP👍

First order ever with UE. Happy 😊
    Scheduled for 12-12:30, arrived 12:05.
$14.85 (large gourmet Angus burger meal) + $5.95 delivery so cost 80c.
First burger I've really enjoyed from Maccas - I rarely eat there.

Checked letter box - 2 more Amaysim SIMs with new numbers… Love making a $30 profit on each - will use for these deals😀

No more walking 15 minutes return to Maccas😉

    • +2

And they say there's no such thing as a FREE LUNCH!
      …cost 80c

      I guess they are right?

      • +1

Could have ordered a free lunch (like many did), but splurged out on my 80c upsized induldence. Glad I did😉
I think the $60 profit on the 2 SIMs that arrived at the same time should cover it💰

  • Currently unavailable on my ubereats. Does it mean mcd doesn't wanna do business?

    • Nope, just doesn't want to do YOUR business.

  • +1

It's only taking $7.50 off for me? whattt

    • Bet you have the free Big Mac promo code applied, I did the same and you can’t delete it

      • Ive had that bug too. No way to delete it.

        • +3

Uber’s response was to wait till the free Big Mac code expires

      • +1

        Contacted Uber:
"Upon checking, I can see here that you have other promotions still active in your account. Please note that the app will always use the promo code that is expiring the soonest. If multiple promo codes have the same expiration date, your most recently-added promo code will apply first. You cannot select the promo you’d like to apply towards a particular Uber Eats order."

  • Thanks OP!

    • Did you get the full $20 off?

      • +1

I got 19.50 off as thats all I ordered

  • +1

Thanks. Just had a Large Double Quarter Pounder meal delivered for free. I got the full $20 off obviously.

No way I would ever pay full price though. Almost $20 for a basic meal.

  • Would that sundae just be chocolate milk by the time it gets delivered?

    • +1

      Depends on the driver

    • +2

Depends how far you are from Maccas…
Tracking on my order showed it took 5 minutes from preparation to delivered. I'm around the corner😉

  • how do people always consistently using these New Account promos?

    • They most likely use the phone numbers from cashback deals to create a new account each time.

  • Can you sign up for uber and ubereats with the same number or they are both treated the same account?

    • +1

      treated as the same account

  • Would this stack with a referral?

  • +1

    Thanks!

Just ordered and the $20 also took it from the delivery! I only paid $4.25!

I feel bad cause I asked for extra chicken in my cesar salad from mcdonalds, and I opened it up and it didn't like like 2 chicken patties. So I rated the driver good, and the store 3 stars and gave feedback that the extra chicken wasn't added on which it was 3.00 for extra chicken. Upon my research online, looking at pictures, the cesar salad should only have like 5 pieces of chicken, I got like 12. So in-fact they did add it in.

I am trying to figure out a way to retract my feedback and give them 5 stars but I can't :( I feel bad.

Also $15 for a medium cesar salad meal with only like 5 pieces of chicken is NOT worth it, don't know how mcdonalds out of all places can charge this.

  • Cheers

Used one of my Amaysim numbers and got a cheeseburger + some more medium fries for free.

Time to walk to work for the next 3 months to burn it off!

  • Anybody know what times the family boxes are available?
