it seems to be cheap, especially considering you get 20m ! I might have to go have a look in store at my local which is currently showing in stock
Most probably it will break up well before a year, better to keep invoice for refund…

It's an ok unit, as you would expect, and so far has lasted. It's wall mounted and has been outside all that time, the plastic is a bit faded but it still goes ok.
I changed the fittings over as soon as I bought it for brass fitting, the plastic ones are shite. The hose it's self is ok, no kinks or leaks at all.
The biggest bug bear of this unit is when you pull it out and want it to "stop" you have to do it really slowly so the stopping mechanism actually works. The trick I have found is to pull it out further than you need, hear the clicks and go really slow. It usually stops(8/10 times).
Returning is easy enough, give it a tug and it retracts as you would expect.
For $20 if you can get one, it's worth a shot.

In StockNothing against OP, but I bought a Nylex 8 , 9 or 10/10 kink free rated hose (can't remember exactly) from Bunnings and I love it. Worth spending extra on a hose to avoid headaches. Also love the black colour.
Slight price difference. Just searched Bunnings website and their 20 M retractable hose kits are $149 and up. For $20 its still a decent deal :

Forgot to state mine is not retractable and it cost around $50 or $60. Also, it's 10 metres. More than enough for my garden and it will last for many years.
Bound to be awful quality if their wheelbarrows are anything to go by.

Found 1 store in Syd that stocked it, even though it is 40kms away from me. Ordered a couple. I got a call 20 mins later telling that the computer made a mistake and there's none in stock, but they'll send my order from the warehouse free of charge!

I actually ordered online from my local store and got a call from them saying that they didn't have stock.
The staff member asked me whether they could post it out to me if they were able to find one.
Not expecting to actually receive anything - it was delivered to my door for free!
