        They could be units that:
        * failed quality assurance
        * are very low quality
        * report the drive size as being larger than it really is

            @mansunz: Quality test failed drives still work, but they degrade quickly or data may get corrupted in a few weeks. It may be too late to raise a dispute by then.

          I wasn't aware of this. Years ago I bought hundreds for work purposes and gradually used each of them. Had zero problems. Totally different brand and capacities to these but were basically the cheapest chips sticks I could find at the time. I guess I got lucky.

        This use to be case. Aliexpress use to be terrible for fake USB thumb drives. Now you still have to be cautious and always check feedback for people who have tested capacity with h2wtest. Then when you recieve the item then test capacity yourself.

        This drive only has positive feedback so I'd be confident that it is legit for its size (but I'd still double check)

    Last USB I bought of AliExpress was a Kingston 256gb for $50 . Did a memory test and it was 16gb but showed on my computer as a 256. Never again .

    I've read russian comments, all of them state that capacity is real but really slow USB drive - 7mb/s. Probably only useful for car music. Anyway ordered one. Thank you OP.

      The website glitches and froze during my order ended up going through 9 times. Have tried to cancel but all quiet at the other end.
