Paul.. Awesome movie, had me and the mrs laughing the whole way. Will cash in on this deal

  • this needs more pluses, great deal.

    • +1

Since when? That's only for certain movies per week, isn't it? Besides, I think that would still be subject to the $1.10 booking fee.. thus, making this cheaper anyway. No idea why you negged this..

      • Don't worry, his neg will be gone soon enough.

I think its $11 + $1.10 for cinebuzz members, not limited for certain movies per week, works on regular movies (no advanced tickets/3D)- I just tried Fast & and Furious 5 and Paul.

        • When did cinebuzz members get cheap movies?

        • @ Trance N Dance
I just made an account and signed in, clicked on those movies and it had "Please choose your Cine Buzz Member tickets - Arndale movie saver Adults $11, Child $10".
Not sure if this is only for this particular cinema, or if its only for the specific cinema you picked when signing up. I chose a different cinema this time and that $11 movie saver wasnt offered.

        lol calm down

i don't mean booking online, i go in and buy the tickets with a cinebuzz card and its $10 for adults, doesnt apply to 3d movies. And if you buying popcorn, then you can do it all at the candy bar which is pretty quick..so really i don't see this as a huge bargain.

        • @ Kryptic
:O really? Is the $10 for adults (for Cinebuzz card members) permanent? - eg. not just for this month. I cant find anything about it on their website :s I wana be 100% sure about this before going in and looking like a fool lol.

    • I am pretty sure it's a $9 movie a week plus $1.10 booking fee if brought online, this weeks movie is Sucker Punch .. I've never heard of it being available for any movie

      • I usually watch the CINE BUZZ special offers movie and buy the tickets at the cinema directly. Its only $8.00 and the downside is you will have to wait and you would not know what movie will be on special next week.

        https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/Cinebuzz

    • Why did Kryptik get voted down for this comment?? I don't think it warrants any neg votes?? All he stated was he thought people got $10 tickets with their card?? Seems a little harsh to me IMO…

      • Agreed, EIGHT negs? Hmm…

I imagine that has been posted at some time in the past, i think it's kinda a standing thing with RACQ. Possibly the other automobile clubs Australia wide have something similar?
In any case I think it works out cheaper that the above offer although it's not an online offer and the conditions are a bit different, just thought it might be useful for any Queenslanders who weren't aware of it.

has the booking fee gone up 10 cents? such crap that is :)

Saves them a little time at the cashier, so I wonder why we have to pay for the booking fee… (either way they would need to have the infrastructure for the site)

      • Hornsby Greater Union just 'revamped' their cashier section - now you have to go through the food area to buy your tickets, and have to wait behind people ordering their food. Takes about 20mins to buy a ticket now, horrible :(

        • I go to Greater Union Hornsby as well however the situations the same as alot of other cinemas. They trying to save money by cutting back on staff however its such a silly place to cut back on.

      • we're paying the cashier for getting less work

  • Heh, it seems the online booking system is already accepting this code. I purchased some tickets for a family member to a movie session screening tonight (note that the code is supposed to start working from the 27th onwards) and they just messaged through to say that the purchase confirmation was accepted without any issues when picking up the tickets at the Jump the Queue counter :-)

  • hey admin, its just to increase profits. Its one of the few times efficiency gained thru IT is penalised and that to for profit.

  • hey admin, its just to increase profits. Its one of the few times efficiency gained thru IT is penalised and that to for profit.

  • Nice, i just got back from the movies with my wife and 4 other mates.
We woulda saved a shite load if i read this today =(
    $17/ticket :(

  • yea. you can use this code RIGHT NOW.

    • you mean you can use the code "right now" for movies booking for the 27th and onwards?

cause i would love to go today

      • Silly question but isn't it cheaper to use today's normal Tuesday prices ($10 or $11) compared to this deal if watching today ?
Edit: Just checked - worth it for 3D movies at $12.50 (before booking fee).

Also just noticed that my local cinema (Beverly Hills) where it is $10 doesn't have the coupon code option. Recalled they didn't accept my Cinebuzz card either.

Still slightly cheaper than $11 option at other cinemas. Good find !

This code was successfully used to buy tickets to and watch a movie session which screened last night, with no issues whatsoever. Brought the cost of a Thor 3D ticket down $22.10 to $13.60 (inclusive of booking fee) :-)

  • I don't know about you guys but my cinebuzz card gets me $7 movie tickets anytime for up to 4 adults at my two local cinemas?! No need to book online…

Does this not apply to others in different areas??

    • Not for me (Brisbane) - but i buy my movie tickets from RACQ as they are always $10each

      • If I buy two tickets I can get them for around $6.80 each, only for Brisbane Myer Center cinema.

        • I'm a Chermside gal anyways!

  • Hey guys i tried BONUS in the bit you enter promotional code and it puts the tickets as $15.50 . This is for Thor Vmax….
Am i doing something wrong? i know its more expensive for VMAX but its not VMAX + 3D just VMAX.

FML didnt read the top bit, its Thor 3D
Then gives the sessions as normal, gold class or VMAX. However, some sessions show 3D Vmax, others Vmax - hence my confusion.

    • Just try putting in the promotional code for F&F5 this Saturday for VMax @ George St, Sydney. Comes up to $12.50 + $1.10 booking fees.
VMax is more expnsive, 3D is even more expensive with additional $3 if not mistaken, so it comes up to $15.50

  • thanks!

  • +1

    works for innaloo in WA
Normal movie $9.60 + $1.10 booking fees (rip off)
    Vmax 3D $15.50 + $1.10

great price but abit let down by the booking fees…
cant complain to much i suppose, cheaper then normal tickets.
    thanks

Ahh sorry, I said the F word and it got banned.
Pretty much said it didnt work for me. I booked online, put in code, paid. when i picked up i was told i needed to present my easter vouchers. i didnt have any voucher or receipt of previous tickets. i would usually have got lippy and got money back, seeing we went because of the deal, but as i booked for 3 mates i didnt want to cause a scene as i wasn't too sure on the actual deal conditions, so i had to pay a top up for 4 tickets at $32.

generally have good experience there, but tonight was a bit of a let down.

    • sorry to hear that, mate. which cinema was that?

      • I had the same problem at Bondi Junction Event Cinema. The guy over the counter will not hand over the ticket because I did not have the ticket from the Easter Break on me and the email confirmation from my Easter session was not enough. The guy over the counter was a bit rude. Was unable but left without creating a scene.

        • Oh dear, that doesn't sound like a fantastic customer service. Hopefully it's only this particular guy that has been so pedantic about it.

I'll be cross if I were you in that situation. Can see why you're venting it. Guess I've would have asked to speak to the manager as some employees can be overzealous in their work. :)

        • why would they even ask for any easter ticket, though?? it's just a promo code with no other conditions. they obviously f—ked up with its expiry date, but used tickets?? oh well, anyway staff on george street didn't pay much attention to my print-out and handed over the tickets to water for elephants, no questions asked

      • robina, gold coast. i would have got my money back and not worried if it was just my wife and i, and gone to gold class.

what also annoyed me a little, but maybe something i'll ask the cinema about. i have my own 1080p home cinema, had it for a few years now, so haven't really been to the movies much. but my wife and i had some gold class vouchers so went a few weeks back, enjoyed it and I found the screen not too bad, much better than gold class at Australia Fair in Southport. went to VMAX the other week, hadn't been in ages, thought the screen was pretty clear as well and I'm quite use to HD at home now, SD doesn't cut it, so i was really paying attention to the clarity on screen.

So anyway, with this easter deal thought we would check out one of the regular cinemas and see what they look like, paid the top up on the tickets to not cause a scene with mates as it was all chicks haha.

so yeah, sitting there watching previews, a little annoyed, and i noticed cars 2, kung fu panda and some advertisements were ultra sharp. like thinking, "heck, ok, so i paid top up but they obviously have new projectors in all the cinemas", theres 8 or so in the complex. Then the movie starts, BOOM, just low SD looking res haha.

got me a little bit more annoyed haha. anyone got any ideas why that would happen? obviously just running a regular film real for the movie but playing some 2160p samples during the previews..

  • oh forgot to mention, they did hand me a windows type print out of the easter special that said bring in your easter ticket receipt to get the special or order online using the code word BONUS. but did say presented with easter bought ticket.
