ShopBack Not Tracking Expensive Orders

Hi,

So I have come to a conclusion that when I make a cheap purchase on Amazon, ShopBack will track the order straight away, anything up to $300. First time it didn't track was a $1800 which was 1.5 months ago, I tried claiming through their website but seems to be hopeless. Yesterday I make a purchase of a camera body and lens which total $2800 and again it doesn't track. I am doing everything correctly, I add the items to cart after I activate shopback I even have their extension which is lit green…
I am not sure if Cash Rewards has any issues with it's tracking, but I feel very upset for using ShopBack as I am missing nearly $300 of cash back so far.
I am highly suspecting that they are actually getting commission for my purchases but simply don't pay out when it comes to $$$. Anyone else with similar issues?

I am not sure if Cash Rewards has any issues with it's tracking,

Its had many issues with tracking as well in the past.

So what did shopback say when you asked them?

    • "We'll investigate" and it ends there. I asked for a follow up twice, no replies.

    Hi Winston100s,

We understand it can be a pain when your orders don't track (it's also a pain point for us because we need to manually go through claims, queries etc), but let us answer what you've said.

So I have come to a conclusion that when I make a cheap purchase on Amazon, ShopBack will track the order straight away, anything up to $300.

Amazon purchases do not track instantly, and purchase amount does not influence whether orders track or not.

First time it didn't track was a $1800 which was 1.5 months ago, I tried claiming through their website but seems to be hopeless.

What's the status of the claim? Do you have a support ticket number we can check?

Yesterday I make a purchase of a camera body and lens which total $2800 and again it doesn't track.

Tracking takes up to 4 days, and this is also indicated on this page. If you like, PM us your SB email address and we'll be more than happy to dig through the raw reports from yesterday to see if your transactions are there.

I am highly suspecting that they are actually getting commission for my purchases but simply don't pay out when it comes to $$$.

If something fails to track, then we don't get attributed the sale/get the commissions either. Another possible reason for tracking not occurring could be unknowingly clicking through a different publisher (OzB, price comparison sites, review sites etc) where they get attributed the sale instead.

    • Hi Store rep,

Thank you for your reply but I must say in my experience some of the things you have said do not apply.

"Amazon purchases do not track instantly, and purchase amount does not influence whether orders track or not."

-This clearly is not the case, all purchases under $300 have been tracked almost instantaneously. As soon as I made the order I would receive a email by shopback that the purchase has been tracked in no more than 2-3 minutes after purchase.

"What's the status of the claim? Do you have a support ticket number we can check?"

      • I received an email from [email protected]. Nothing to state it is a ticket number, what seems to me might be one located in this part of the email. <<Your request (913188) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email.>>

-As in my description I am 100% certain that I did follow all the steps needed and never clicked through any other publisher. I go the Shopback website, no other tabs open, no ad blockers running, nothing to disturb the process. I click on Amazon's store link which shows that I am being diverted to the site. No items in cart, only add them after I have been taken to the site by Shopback.
I even have that SB chrome extension which is lit green. Clearly not an issue on my side because I follow all the instructions and terms you have on your website.

Thank you for the offered help. I will PM you with the last purchase.

      • This clearly is not the case, all purchases under $300 have been tracked almost instantaneously.

Tracking speeds depend on the store, and with most stores they are processed automatically. Amazon requires an extra step on our end to push orders to accounts so it won't be instantaneous, which is why it takes a little longer for Amazon orders to come through.

I received an email from [email protected]. Nothing to state it is a ticket number, what seems to me might be one located in this part of the email. <<Your request (913188) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email.>>

        Thanks that request should do.

We'll take your word for this, as it's quite difficult for us to figure the reason for non-tracking if it's none of that. But regarding that transaction we'll follow up on your request you made to recover your cashback.

Thank you for the offered help. I will PM you with the last purchase.

You're welcome. Having a look at our sales report, your purchase from yesterday has indeed come through.

      • Never been instant for me. But they’ve always tracked with confirmation several days later.

  • +1

I wonder if the retailer would be willing to tell you if they had paid Shopback their commission?

    • I have asked an Amazon rep but he said he does not have that kind of information, it is something that the tech department takes care of and they do not communicate.

  • +1

Next time you buy something expensive, record your screen through the whole process. If they don't award you the cashback, see them try to wiggle out of it then.

It would be great if there was a high-up person from a store that awards cashback here, who could tell us if they awarded it or not, to see if they are lying about keeping the commission for themselves.

    • Great idea there. Will make sure to use an app like that next time as long as they pay out, but from the looks of it not sure i will use them again. Too much of a hassle for an extra 1% compared to cashrewards. I've never had any problem with them.

  • I'm late to this so called cashback lottery game so I tried to test them out and from my personal experience,ShopBack is much better than Cash Rewards.

I made 5 transactions on Amazon and they all were tracked by ShopBack.

Made 4 transactions the same day on Amazon with Cash Rewards and only 2 transactions were tracked.Back and forth emails with CR but that was just a waste of times for a few dollars to be credited in 3 months.

    Now I only uses ShopBack.

    • your post sounds like you are associated with ShopBack

      • +2

        Nope.

That was my honest review about them without taking side [ unlike others ]

        • That means nothing, its not the tracking email that counts as much as whether it actually gets processed and credited to your account months later.

  • +1

I've had the same issue, but have been able to request the missing cash backs, even one where they rejected it initially (more about that in the other thread).

  • even one where they rejected it initially

Its clearly shows they weren't honest with you in the first place.

Why you have to chasing them up if they were so honest with you.

In my cases , they asked for the receipts from Amazon, when I gave them the receipt, you know what their reply?

''We cannot accept this receipt , ask Amazon to send you another receipt''

Unbelievably waste of times for a few dollar to be credited in 3 months.

    • Update - they've now rejected it again after initially realising I did the cashback correctly after I questioned the initial rejected…

So Shopback can't be trusted with large cashbacks. I'll add this update to my other posts AND have to start this again sigh

      • +1

I dont want to trash talk but they get the receipt you send them, get paid commission say the receipt is no good and dont pay you out. Just did 2 ~$1000 purchases on Amazon using cashrewards, no issues with the tracking at all.

        • +1

In the end the payment was confirmed after I questioned it again… So down the track I'll be weighing if it's worth the chasing for big cashbacks down the track as this has been a bit of a pain…

You're right through - if I didn't question the second rejection the commission could have been pocketed. But as an Ozbargainer, me letting go of a large cashback isn't an option :)

  • +1

Bought a Lenovo computer a few days ago with them on 12% cashback offer.
Seems missing the tracking. Send a message to them regarding for that. Hope it is ok.
    Will keep ozbargainer update!

    • +1

1% extra cashback not worth the hassle, use cashrewards instead. At least so far they have tracked everything, i doubt shopback miss the tracking, but they sure do give you a hard time to get your share…

    • I managed to get mine tracked on a purchase from Thursday, however, I'm crossing my fingers that it gets all the way to payment…!

    • I sent a Missing Cashback claim for mine

      How did yours go?

did they get back to you yet?

This is normal with shopback, Stopped using them months ago :)

My recent Amaysim Mobile order was not tracked and after investigation it was rejected. I am asking them to look into it further, as the three reasons they listed for rejection do not apply to my order.

  • +1

Finally they got me back. I think when I clicked it mean to be 14% cashback in lenovo but they gave me 4% only. Need to contact them to clarify it but there is no appeal option….

Email them to see how do I go….

    • Get fixed…lucky…quite fast….rebated for 15%..

Is anyone else having issues with sales from December 2018 not being validated yet? I have a heap of sales from this period that were meant to be validated nearly a month ago that are still pending. I have raised the question to them but they haven't been overly helpful and say it will take at least another 3 weeks (14 business days) for them to get a first response back to me on the issue. I'm interested to know if it is just me or there are others also experiencing delays?

    • +1

They have rejected cashback for the lens I ordered $1800 in DEC. Don't know what to make out of it, there is no way you can prove they aren't paying you out and keeping the $$$ for themselves, or they didn't get commissioned by Amazon

      • +1

That's disappointing. What was their reasoning for the rejection?

        • +1

They reply once every 1.5 months. In mid FEB they asked me to post them my Amazon receipt of my purchase, haven't had a reply since. I am thinking(very highly suspecting) they actually keep the commission they get to themselves. Won't ever use shopback again.

          • +1

@Winston100s: Yes unfortunately it could be something like that. It could also be potentially a cash flow management thing. Given the sheer volume of Black Friday and Christmas sales that would be coming into validation status now, they are potentially delaying some of the validations to manage the cash outflows.

            • +1

@festivalmayhem: I've had some large orders from December that have tracked fine but stayed at the calculating stage.

I'll give it a few more weeks then contact them but going by this thread it doesn't sound promising.

              • @roddy84: To follow this up, I did finally receive these funds last week.I will say that their customer service is very responsive and friendly, I just wish they would give more insight into the cause of the delays and a reasonable timeframe on resolution. Instead they sort of left me hanging with no real reassurance that the funds will eventually clear. I had over $250 that should have cleared 6 weeks ago.

    • +1

I am also having the same problem. I ordered a few items during their so called Amazon flash sale. These were capped at $50. However, I checked today, all of these flash sales were rejected. Many others were still in pending. In all I lost over $200. I am very unhappy with this and I don't think I will trust Shopback anymore.

  • +1

I just sent a Missing Cashback claim for the Lenovo laptop I ordered last week.

Nothing is showing up on my account.

It says it will take 35 days.

Looks like Shopback is becoming a scam now by getting people to click links and go to their website.

          Thanks for this info.

If Shopback is found not honouring their supposed discounts does OzBargain have a responsibility to protect its users?

  • I'm also waiting on mine from an Amazon purchase for $15.16. Ordered 6/12 and "Available" from Feb 20th, still nothing.

    • My Cashback has been received after alerting @gotyourback. Thanks gotyourback, you guys need to work on your communication with reports/queries from your clients, but you came through in the end!

  • +2

We should keep this thread alive, if you know anyone else not being honoured by SHOPBACK please tell them to post here.

Make no mistake they are making $$$ by users going to their website and clicking links before purchasing items for supposed discounts.

  • I totally agree. I am not going to spend another $ with them. They are cheaters

  • What I don’t understand is that I’ve had heaps of more recent purchases via amazon that have been validated. Also a number of purchases from that period that have been validated. Something has clearly gone wrong on their end or they are simply scamming us. Hopefully we all get a positive outcome soon.

    • To follow this up, I did finally receive these funds last week.I will say that their customer service is very responsive and friendly, I just wish they would give more insight into the cause of the delays and a reasonable timeframe on resolution. • I have had quite a few orders that got tracked and then declined months later and by that time you generally forget how you ordered.

    • Yes! same reason with mine, I thought I was able to withdraw the amount but turns out to be pending when they were purchased already. They delays and process of waiting since you bought them just makes it so tedious. I'm quite disappointed with Shopback as my money is hanging there.

Hey Guys, I've chatted with quite a few of you privately and on other threads however If I thought I'd reiterate that we're here to help if things go wrong!

We understand that some of you have cashback that's yet to be confirmed, or have emails/queries that need to be attended to regarding past Amazon transactions. We sincerely apologise for this experience and are working on resolving this for you. When tracking fails or cashback stays pending for too long we also take a hit on this as we don't receive commissions.

We obsess about improving the experience you guys have with our business and take all your feedback on board. If this is the case or you have any other issues you'd like to raise or have any feedback on ShopBack, please private message us with your ShopBack email address and we'll follow up.

    • My legitimate Lenovo cashback for the 12% was rejected

Is the process automated or are SB staff just rejecting it without any explanation?

  • I bought something over $300 using cashback a few months ago and it managed to track for me a few days later.

    • Good to hear. Although tracking is not the issue most people are having, but the validation and the actual cashback down the line.

      • True my cashback is still in pending and it's been awhile. I have forgotten about it.

  • Did anyone from this thread get any resolution to their legitimate claims?

    • Yep, I messaged @gotyourback after their post above. A couple of days later, it was accepted. Still yet to cash out (I forgot, so thanks!!).

I just tried to withdraw, and it's stuck on "Please wait, while your request is being processed"..

I think the majority of the claims (including mine), was in mid December.. Maybe they had a database issue or something that caused it?

@gotyourback, you really need to fix the website, otherwise you'll continue to receive bad feedback (including the report feature which looks like it does nothing?)

      • What amount was your cashback and from which retailer?

      • My Cashback has been received after alerting @gotyourback. Thanks gotyourback, you guys need to work on your communication with reports/queries from your clients, but you came through in the end!

  • Legitimate cashback from Lenovo was rejected.

If SB are keeping legitimate cashbacks from it's users this is quite fraudulent.

They may be pocketing the earned cashbacks for themselves.

    • What was the rationale for the rejection?

    • Hi JPerez,

As mentioned in PMs I will escalate this for you.

If something fails to track, we too do not get paid commissions from the store, so we are pocketing $0.

  • As per my posts earlier above, mine have since been resolved. They had always tracked fine but it was the validation that was 6 weeks overdue. Had over $250 held up.

  • Currently going through this exact issue, not happy jan

purchased from DJ in December $1700 and $100, paid with gift cards, t/cs said and still do orders paid for by gift cards are VALID

    estimated approval time 6th Mar

    Followed up 3 times since,

    Got declinded today 19/04
their excuse was that either it was returned, cancelled or paid for with gift cards

    almost $200 in cashback declined,

however, I ordered the week before via cashrewards a similar order, and that was successfully tracked and credited a month or two ago

Will definitely go to ombudsmand or legal options, as its a decent amount, and out of principal

I am more than happy to check this for you, but I'll need you to send over your SB registered email address. If you could send it over using the message you have already initiated that would be great.

    • For the effort of going through them 3 times and constantly getting rejected since months ago, the stress and needing to comment on Ozbargain to finally alert Shopback, and thus PMing them is just not worth it.

  • wow, absolutely impressed by these guys, fixed in a matter of minutes

makes me wonder why 6 weeks and multiple emails after teh expected approved date, we got absolutely no where

Looks like ive found my favourtie cashback site!!

I have pruchased a lens and a another camera which cashback was due APRIL 22. No trace of my money. Purchase was not even tracked I had to raise missing cashback and for some reason it shows as 4 different transactions.
Either shopback tracking system is a fail, or the other explanation is that they simply do not pay out cashback. I am tired of chasing them with emails which they never reply to. Hopefully there is a way to report this scam to consumer affairs.

      @Winston100s

I tried claiming through their website but seems to be hopeless.

Seems to me you need to do a little reading about how it all works. I've had no such problems.

Yesterday I make a purchase of a camera body and lens which total $2800 and again it doesn't track

Did you bother contacting support? In nearly three months of using the extension, I had "ONE" instance of a purchase not being tracked. Contacting support had the issue resolved, and the purchase recorded within 48 hours.

I am doing everything correctly, I add the items to cart after I activate shopback I even have their extension which is lit green…

That can be caused by other extensions you have installed in your browser. Popup blockers, Ad Blockers, Browser Configuration etc. Suggest you contact support. They've been very responsive to me and quite prompt in their replies.

I am highly suspecting that they are actually getting commission for my purchases but simply don't pay out when it comes to $$$

I can say from my own experiences with the Shopback extension that your suspicions are in fact, wrong :)

      Anyone else with similar issues?

Nope, not at all, and I have no affiliation with Shopback. Just a very happy and satisfied user that has had money deposited into my bank account after withdrawing both promptly and easily.

      Cheers,

      AndyLen

  • Purchase made on groupon during their anniversary promotion and wrong cashback assigned. Significantly less than the 20% advertised. The reliability of their service is really poor as this is the third issue i have had with shopback overall. Contacted them using their form but have not heard back.

I hate having to constantly verify each purchase individually on their website and hope that these tracking go through.

  • I successfully placed online order at Myers for six Samsonite bags last night costing over $1100 using ShopBack cash back option, but still haven’t received any email or update on ShopBack cash back. Should I be worried? Terribly regretting for not going with Cash Rewards cash back in the first place 😞 I have been successfully using Cash Rewards cash back for both smaller and bigger transactions for quite some time now with no issues whatsoever and have also used ShopBack twice before successfully, but of course for way too smaller transactions.

    • you should report it, if any luck with reply, you will get it after a month or so and then have your purchase rejected

      • +1

I am thinking of cancelling the order with Myers and re-purchasing the goods using Cash Rewards cash back this time. What's say?

        • +1

if you can cancel and reorder, i wouldn't hesitate for a single minute.

  • ive used cashrewards for 2 years and id say they have been accurate 98% of the time when you follow their instructions, espcially with amazon you have to make sure your cart is empty before clicking the portal link. i have been paid out almost $2000 so far with CR in the past 18mths.

i joined shopback last week, so far their accuracy is a big fat 0%, clicks show in history but no rewards, no email to state what is happening, just nothing at all really. they were offering about 1% higher rewards for amazon than CR which is why i joined, which would probably get me $100 extra over the next year.

from reading the other posts here it seems that they only track rewards on a full moon. so back to cashrewards i go. if its that hard to earn rewards in the first place imagine how hard it would be to actually cash out those rewards. id say they are pocketing the earnings, because theres noone to stop them, and they know they can get away with it. businesses like that dont stick around long so dont store huge rewards balance with them.

    well theres my 2 cents.

  • Idk, looks like that's not a coincidence.

Ordered $2500 Dell laptop from dell.com.au with Shopback Chrome plugin enabled, should be 10% cashback, ~$250. 5 days passed, nothing (and there were no issues with $0-$5 cashbacks previously. Claimed missed cashback, recevied email "we investigating, will take 35 days, don't email us until then".
Month later, no emails from them, I decided to check my account. Here it is, $0, Rejected (and they did not even bother to notify me that they investigated and rejected my claim):

Your cashback of $0.00 was rejected and removed from your pending earnings for one of these reasons:
    1. Your order was cancelled, returned or exchanged, partially or fully
    2. Your order was paid for with a gift voucher
    3. Payment or stay was not completed.

If this was not the case, email us at [email protected] and we will check in with our merchants. Note: The partner store holds sole discretion in determining the > cashback validity.

Oookay, my order was paid by credit card, was NOT cancelled, returned and all other shit, let's email them at [email protected]! Attached PDFs with order, tax invoice, screenshot from Dell website. Got immediate robot answer:

Sorry that we missed your email as it passed our working hours now.
Well, not to worry we would be back at 1000hrs and would handle your query at earliest available time.
Here are our working hours :
    Monday - Friday: 1000hrs - 1900hrs (AEST)

Huh? It's 17:20 AEST now, WTF? Ok, maybe they made a typo in their working hours… Let's wait for the next business day.
    Nothing.
    Next business day.
    Nothing.
Ok, I try to follow up and send another email to [email protected]. 1 PM AEST, Wednesday. but… I got the same robot answer - "Sorry that we missed your email as it passed our working hours now". Seriously.
Checked for the phone number on their website - nothing.

Cashbacks over $100 are rejected, "missing cashback" tickets are silently rejected and closed, support is only by email and not available at all. Looks like the only way to communicate is this thread (I hope @gotyourback working hours are different to their email support ones).

    • followup - after I sent PM to @gotyourback someone replied on my email - saying "Unfortunately, we haven't got any money from Dell for reasons we don't understand, but, as a one-time gesture of a good will we will give you the cashback, please wait".
Day later I've got a "Pending" cashback in my account, not 10% rate ($242) that was active on a day of purchase, but ~2.7% ($67.20) without any explanation why. Support is not replying to any emails, as usual.

Ok, let's get those $67 and forget about that shitty service, right?
Date of purchase - 24/04, "Available by" - 09/07. Looks like that's another lie, today is 15/07, still
      "Pending: Validating your Cashback
We've received your order details and it is being validated by Dell. You can expect confirmation by 9 Jul 2019 when our partner store ensures that you did not make any cancellation, return or exchange. Otherwise, the cashback will be adjusted or voided.".

What the hell you are validating if you said you haven't received any money from Dell and just paying me 27% of what you promised from your own pocket?

PS: another cashback is stuck with the "Calculating" in "Amount" field for weeks. I don't care anymore if Shopback is a scam or just totally disfunctional business, I'm out.

  • I placed an order at iconic with 15% cashback (they made it seem good by referring to the "usual 4%").
The order is tracked but only with 4%. I verified the cashback rate before placing the order (It was mentioned as 15% on the main shopback page, it was mentioned on the iconic subpage and then again when clicking through with the link, saying I would get 15% cashback.).

    • @gotyourback is really responsive and is following up on the error, and also added the missing cashback into my account.
      Thanks @gotyourback

  • I ordered from myer on the upsized 15% deal. Provided claim form, been rejected for no reason. Shopback have admitted there was a glitch yet they have still rejected it. @gotyourback please sort out. You told me to trust in your team. This seems to be common on here that big spends do not get cashback. Can you please advise what your limits are please.

  • I've purchased a Dell Alienware during the recent 14% cashback deal, $3800 in total but only got $200 back which is around 5% only.

@gotyourback I've already sent and email to shopback and messaged you here, can you please get back to me. Thanks

    • +1

@rocket142, have you heard back about this from @gotyourback, or had a resolution through shopback?

      • Yes I've had a reply from @gotyourback and from shopback, they've investigated and corrected the cashback - just came through yesterday an extra ~$270. Thanks @gotyourback and shopback

  • I find lately a lot of my transactions have not been tracking with shopback. Normally they are pretty good to add it back when you click on missing cashback but couple of times I had to chase them up when they didn’t adjust for the uplift in the cashback. Currently waiting for three cashback to be added to my account. This time they seem to be pretty slow to investigate it but it’s been about a week for couple of them. Hopefully they will add it back soon. Also, the pain with shopback you don’t get notification of changes. I had my uplift cashback drop to their normal rates and had to chase up to get it fixed.

  • I puchased a laptop through Shopback as a HP promotion that came up on the front page of the app.
I was given a budget and made the purchase, knowing that I would get the large cash back amount and would bring me under budget.
The claim was rejected with a generic response from a "Debra" stating that my order was not attributed to ShopBack.
I can assure you that I have used ShopBack before so I understand the process, I have click history in my account from the purchase, and I only made the purchase because I saw the promo whilst logged into the ShopBack App!!! After reading many other review websites, it seems they are known for rejecting cash back's of high amounts. See below generic response from "Debra":

    Thank you for your patience!
Upon receiving the updates from hp australia, your Missing Cashback claim for Order ID was rejected because your order was not attributed to ShopBack.
While you have made a purchase on hp australia via the ShopBack platform, the following scenarios may have disrupted the trackability of your transaction:
    1. Using promo codes that are not eligible for cashback
    2. Opening of web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers after clicking through ShopBack
    3. Clicking through to another page from a banner or an advertisement on the store’s website whilst shopping
Here are some tips to ensure a successful transaction:
    1. Avoid the above-mentioned scenarios during your next purchase
    2. Clear your shopping cart before clicking through ShopBack
    3. Use a Private Window or Incognito mode on your browser
    4. Please disable Antivirus/cleanup or Adblocker application completely as it may disrupt the tracking of cashback

Please lets spread the word so more people don't fall victim to the ShopBack scam.
I, along with my family and friends will never be using the app again.
    Very disappointing.

    • I also purchased a $1900 Dell laptop during the Click Frenzy sale and I got the same email reply saying my purchase also wasn't attributed to shopback even though I have used shopback many times for smaller ticket items with no issues. I also know what I'm doing and am pretty pissed that the one time it didn't work was when I bought a big ticket item during increased cashback. Very disappointing.

No evidence was given to show what I did wrong, just that same generic email reply as yours. I'm not sure if its Dell or Shopback that is behind this issue. Very disappointing.

    • I've just had the same thing happen with a $3500 laptop from Dell and the same generic response from "Debra". I clicked through from Shopback and ordered the laptop without clicking anywhere else, just like I have for many other smaller purchases that were recognised so the only different has to be the amount. Really disappointing from Shopback.

      • Just to follow up on this, gotyourback advised me to reply again to the generic response with proof of purchase. After a couple of weeks I was advised that my appeal was approved and the money was in my Shopback account. A good result in the end.

  • Also have the same issue with Uniqlo every time - sometimes it was attributable other times not. No change to the computer settings, emptied out the cart making sure everything is cleared etc etc…

  • I have issues, and don't. They've always tracked when I've filed a claim tho! Customer service has been pretty helpful.

The biggest issue I have is when I get cashback, and sellers make mistakes.

I got moldy protein bars from Catch, now if they refund me $17 I assume I'll lose the $28 cashback.

iHerb sent me a $3 skin cream instead of a $28 supplement. If they refund me, thank god I'll only lose $3-4 as iHerb tracked every item seperately.

Unfortunately ordering item by item would be very difficult, and no free postage

Shopback/Cashrewards have to sort it out, or like iHerb every item tracks individual.

Saying that, customer service from SB have been very positive inregards to issues from my experiences recently so it's looking good 👍

  • Something is very*1000 fishy here. Here is my dispute with Shopback and potentially with Myers from their 15% leap year promotion. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/521405#comment-8422612
    Starting with my reply to Cashback rejecting my transaction on a $3000 TV;

    Hi Debra,

Thank you for your email. The initiate order from Myer was cancelled but his was order number 1065201933. This was made at 6am, 29 Feb.
I went back into Shopback and made a fresh new purchase at 11.14 am local time, (12.14 am AEDT). This is purchase order no. 1065206462. This was because the cash back is 15% during the time slot.
    During the whole time when purchasing, I did not do any of the action you have listed;
    1. Using promo codes that are not eligible for cashback
    2. Opening of web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers after clicking through ShopBack
    3. Clicking through to another page from a banner or an advertisement on the store’s website whilst shopping
    My purchase was tracked according to the Shopback website;
Please review my request to have my request for Activity validated. I hope there is no confusion between purchase order number 1065201933 and purchase order no. 1065206462. There is no evidence to indicate I have done anything to invalidate my shopback purchase transaction through the Shopback. I appeal for your just and fair assessment and look forward to your favourable reply.

Thank you again for your review.

    Regards,

    Jimmy Lee
