  • Any reviews of this jerky from ozbargain members?

It keeps popping up with my search alert for jerky but ive never tried it.

    • I don't eat beef in any form except jerky. I've tried pretty much everything that you can get at the supermarkets and servos and this is in my top 3. Their biltong is better than the jerky imo but it comes down to what texture you prefer. Their flavours are really nice and the smokey biltong is just perfect for my tastes. If you like Jack Link's then you won't like this. If you prefer a dryer jerky with a more natural flavor then give it a try.

    • Only tried the Smokey so far (just finished a 1KG bag) from the sale earlier this year and I rate it pretty damn highly! Yet to try the BBQ, Original and Mango Chilli I also ordered.

Flavour is amazing! absolutely blows commercial jerky out of the water. Macros/nutrition is pretty good - High protein, Not too much fat and not loaded with carbs like most of the commercial Jerky.

Some of the jerky in my 1KG bag was very dry and tough, some was quite wet & soft but most of it was on the drier side of average.

  • TBH their jerky quality last time I ordered has been quite poor and very tough. Used to be a good brand but disappointed recently.

  • $72 a kilo for jerky is expensive IMO
