They clearly messed up. Here's the Z6 with a lens for $219:

And the real price ($4179) with an adaptor:

But u cannot checkout any postcode u put comes up with an error!

      • +2

Great, thanks for pointing that out. It should put a stop people placing orders and then complaining about it later.

  • Is anyone able to check out? Comes up "unable to ship to this address"…

  • +1

you have to do it through PayPal

  • Kogan gift voucher coming up

    • True. Kogan would send store voucher as they cannot honor the price.

    Bought 5

      • yeah right. the president is fine! he totally didn't get his head blown off on national television.

        • -3

Ordered from dicksmith and not kogan :)

    • Are you willing to sell one for $250?

      • You mean $2,500 right :)?

  • looks like they're doing the same thing at dick smith
    https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/nikon-z6-with-24-70mm-f4…

    • +3

      They're owned by Kogan.

      • ah damn. sorry didn't know. thanks :)

  • -2

bought one …what sort of gift voucher will i receive ?

    • $10 voucher good for an eye-blink.

    • from experience, something enough to buy a sd card

  • Still getting shipping error even with PayPal. How did you guys managed to grab one

    • -1

The one without lens works got 1 through PayPal but don’t hope much on it getting delivered

  • Got the one without the lens and paid via paypal. Let's see how things go. 😁

  • Grab 1 also so fingers crossed

  • +16

I'm 100% sure everyone is going to get their cameras.

    • I am 200% sure. I ordered 10!

  • -1

    Great, bought 10.

  • +5

I don't know how long it will take for me to learn my lesson

    • +5

if you follow this site …maybe never

  • -3

Success! Got body only through Paypal! Delivery is $42.99 but it's still worth it's weight… mind the pun =)

  • that's about as much as I am willing to pay for it

  • +7

Every 2nd notification popping up on Kogan site "Someone in ***** bought a Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only" hahahaha

    • +4

These people bought 10 but still hope to fly low under the radar…

    • +1

Those 'recently purchased' notifications are fake. It's a social proof mechanism designed to manipulate unwary consumers.

"Build customers’ trust and create a sense of urgency! Motivate your store visitors to make a purchase without a second thought!"

"The system can automatically choose and randomly mix names, cities and countries to create various pop-up notifications. Also, you can select the products to be shown in your notifications. This is a proven strategy for promoting certain items to a specific segment of your target audience. If you don’t make a list of selected products, the system will use all the published items, and will show them randomly."

      • Makes sense, but mine have been random as (profanity) and certainly not targeting me to get anything.
Like i've basically only looked at PC parts or other electronics and i get popups of like "jill valentine bought baby cot", "fred nerk bought bike tyre tubes".
        I think kogan is confused.

  • +9

Obviously, they will not honour it.

  • what about the lens. Any link to order the lens ??

    • +2

and I don't expect to pay more than $25 for it

  • Wasted a $10 min $250 spend voucher on this which I was never gonna use anyway. Mind you the $250 min spend wasn't supposed to include the $40 shipping yet it still applied.

Eagerly waiting for the $10 min $100 spend voucher to arrive in the email!

  • cant be shipped to your address

  • -4

I grabbed a couple. Does Kogan honour price mistakes typically? Hope it sticks!

    • +4

Nope, but they do give you $10 evoucher.

"We wish to advise you that a pricing error occurred on the Kogan.com website for a brief period of time on Monday 28/01/2019. Unfortunately the price for items in your Kogan.com order xxxxxxx were displayed incorrectly when you placed your order. Despite our best efforts, with the thousands of items available on our website, pricing errors can occasionally occur.

In our Website Terms and Conditions, it is noted that where an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we may, at our discretion, cancel the order. In accordance with this provision, your order has now been cancelled and will not be dispatched on this occasion. Please allow 2 business days for your refund to be processed, and up to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your account."

      • Thanks. Well it’s not all bad then! I have never had a price error honoured so as expected.

  • There would be plenty of Kogan staff seeing this that would raise the alarm bells.

    • +2

You mean it's not a gimmick to raise hits to the Kogan website?

  • +1

meanwhile Kogan is thinking hmmm time to buy Myer with all that price error money. claim bankruptcy and collect the insurance

  • +12

$3000+ camera body for $200… i see it being honored

  • +3

    Can't checkout :(
"One or more items in your order are not available to ship to this postcode."
Doubt they'll honour it anyway, but still worth a try.

Yet I'm still getting popups on their website saying that someone just bought the Z6 seconds ago.

  • It seems someone in Kogan gonna be either fired or promoted since it is a good idea for website load testing but really bad on the company impression.

    • +5

In fairness, the "company impression" of Kogan couldn't really get much lower.

      • LOL, you are right. Cannot be lower even before the price error.

  • +2

They literally had a price error like 2-3weeks ago on the whole site. and then gave out coupons that were valid for like 4 days.

    • Hmmm, seems intentional.

      • Most likely to get people to "re-activate" their accounts/add more email addresses to their spam system.

  • +1

    No longer available

  • +1

KOGAN DISABLED BUYING FOR THIS AND ANOTHER LISTING.

  • +6

    110% pricing error.

Should not have posted in the first place for obvious pricing error

    People got upset for nothing.

    Pointless post.

  • -4

let us know if you get your product!!

  • they finally managed to get the website content manager from last night hangover at St Kilda festival.

  • -3

    what postcode works?

    • +1

The one where you need it delivered.

  • +5

Price errors make the front page now? Eh what lol

    • +2

Yes, sadly not many quality posts or deals on Ozbargain these days.

People just blindly upvoted for obvious pricing error post.

      • +2

Wouldn't hurt to try I supposed.

  • +3

    Price error neg

  • +5

You all just provided Kogan with interest-free loan of $219 each XD

    • -5

      Not really.
      "
Your funds will be transferred when the merchant processes your payment."

If transaction is cancelled, no money ever moved anywhere.

    • +2

I used interest free payment method…. checkmate.

  • +1

Not worth the hassle for a (if you're lucky) 10% off code.

  • I would like one but no luck. Ugh.

  • +1

Surely these are marketing strategies now. They must make a tidy sum from collateral sales (induced by $10 voucher also). Page clicks equal money and these 'crazy' sales get thousands of people visiting their storefront.

  • +7

Maybe we should just ban Kogan on OzB with all this bullcr*p price errors. Good riddance.

    • Amen.

This happened very recently. It's like they're phishing for sign ups, then turn off the bargain tap before you can sip

  • Is everything from Kogan either a sham or price error? Never shopped from there but have seen a fair few of these error posts recently.

    • They have some ok prices occasionally, but a lot of what is shared here is obviously a price error. Having said that, I got one of their mechanical keyboards for about $25 after it was posted here that I've been very very happy with.

  • Without price error headline no one would click on their website

  • When Ruskin and the cFO recently tried offloading shares with 72 hours of hyping their forecast you know there is only only way this company is travelling and it’s straight to the South Pole. So in this case those you may go past GO and collect your 219+ freight back!

  • Arggg they said "No shipping to postcode" :(

  • These 'price errors' are an excellent way of inflating their user-base numbers without much effort or cost, which they can then report on to ultimately temporarily inflate the company's worth:

    https://www.afr.com/business/retail/appliances/kogan-ceo-rus…

"The online retail group generated a 45 per cent increase in the number of active customers, adding 433,000 people to expand total customer numbers to 1.39 million by June 30."

  • Have everyone received order cancelled / refund requested email as usual?

    • I checked the order and it said "refund processed"

    • My order has been cancelled/refund processed but I haven’t received any email yet
      Was worth a shot!

    • Received email for cancellation and $10 voucher to account. Awaiting refund processing and confirmation.

  • +3

Got an email saying "… A few things to go with your Nikon Z6…" lmao

    • +2

same. one of those is "128 Finish Quantum Ultimate Powerball Dishwashing Tablets (8 x 16 P…"

      • +2

        Cleaning your camera is important

  • +4

just got the email with $10 voucher - min $50 spend!

    • me too

    • Congrats, you've been sockpuppeted.

  • I am not buying those price error items on Kogan any more. just got a $10 voucher for $50 min spend. come hither fiend so I can smite thee

  • So somehow I got 2 emails of $10 credit and it appears twice in my account with an expiry of 11th August as opposed to 11th May in the email.

  • Hey Guys, check your accounts! I've received the refund a few days ago. BUT, Looks like just today(14/02/2019) got charged again!!! (-$261.99)
