Note that the GT 1030 is the shitty DDR4 version, not the GDDR version, which is considerably faster.

The DDR4 version barely beats on-board graphics.

    • does it have rtx??

      • No.

Only the 20 series has that.

        • darn could have sworn these had raytracing

that ddr4 gt1030 is full of shit

nvidia bait n' switch from gddr5

    • They did that before with the 970 where 0.5GB of the 4GB was cheaper out on.

I got this graphics card for my htpc. Do not buy it, it's terrible, can't handle 4k hdr at 60hz.

    • The DDR5 version of it can though, runs great.

  • The GT 1030 doesn't do hardware encoding. Keep that in mind if that is why you're purchasing it.

Graphics cards are so competitively priced these days (with the huge demand from cryptominers for GPUs driving prices high) that you get what you pay for.

  • Was gonna point out the shitty ddr4 1030 when I saw the title, glad to see others have mentioned it already. Such a shameless money grab by Nvidia.

Not sure about that promotion, but they do have good price on ASUS 2080, for $1259 only

  • was looking forward to a cheap rx580 but the one in the deal doesn’t sound like new pristine stock, more like returned crypto mining card repackaged by supplier.

    • What specifically makes you say that?

      • ex demo, damaged packaging in the listing, hence not new pristine.
