    Very tempting

  • Nice, any suggestions this over the hisense 65p6?
    Thank you

Hisense 65p6 is much better than this in picture quality and sound as well. My friend have both 65 inch in his house. Hisense is far better than this TCL.

        $400-$500 difference in price though

  • Isn't the entire tcl line plagued with boot problems?

    Not a bad price though

Reviews have said slow turn on and channel changing. But there is a fast boot setting…Which You'd think be the default setting to have on on any TV…

      • probs uses more standby power.

  • I think the issue is that fast boot doesn't work when turned on

    • I read a review from someone who said when they turned it on, it helped the boot times

I think that issue only exists on the Android versions. This TV doesn't use Android but instead uses a custom Linux system (which apparently has better boot times and general UI, but means you cannot install apps apart from whats already included on the TV).

Will report back when I unpack it tonight as to how boot times are.

      • Yeh I read that too. I'm gonna be next to JB tonight, so will go instore and check how it looks.

Looking forward to your review too.. Will you use it for Xbox or PS4 ?

      • How’d it go ?

Got the TV, pretty decent for the price. It doesn't use Android for the smart TV part of it which is good, powering on takes 2-5 seconds with instant on enabled (5-10 seconds with it disabled). Picture is pretty decent (I only use FTA channels and we all know the quality of FTA is pretty awful), Netflix in 4K looks great, im yet to buy a gaming console to test out.

The Netflix and YouTube apps are very polished and easy to use (saves me from using my chromecast), the remote is slimline and easy to use. Overall its an 8/10 for me in terms of price and quality. Obviously you can pay more to get a better panel, but for the money (under $800 for a 65"), it's no disappointment.

  • Ps. I posted this TV for $800 back in January or December and wasn't really noticed it

  • is this the cheapest 65" TV ???
how is this compare to hisense 65" p6 around $1000 mark???

  • TCL 55P6US would be same price as this $760.50.
so 65P4USM or 55P6US ????? which one have better value?????????

    • Do you like them bigger or better utilised? ;)

      • bigger would be better but will be mainly use for non 4k movies so better upscale would be good…
hopefully not too much pixelate on a 65inch?

  • Should also note TCL have a 3 year warranty

    • Also their support is based in Australia it seems too, I accidentally lost one of the screws for my TV stand and they happily let me come and pick one up to replace it same-day.

    Love it.

Quality is great. Menus are almost as good as the Samsung’s (bar being a tad slower) quality I find is as good if not better then my nu7100
