Yeah agree — was even thinking of just getting the regular Switch Pro Controller because the extra $$$ is not worth it for me.
So when I saw this price, grabbed 1 right away. The special edition controller and limited edition case is I think a good bonus. :)

I mean it's just a plastic controller, a game, and a dodgy tin case.
Besides the "collectible" aspect, it doesn't make sense. This price should be the regular price, something like $99 would be a proper bargain. I think the cheapskate in me has been spoilt by OzBargain over the years… or maybe our dollar has lost half its value and I'm clueless.
Pro controllers are $80 or so on their own. The collectible aspect is important because it will either appreciate in value or not drop as much as the regular version in future.

Don't get it. Why is this a bargain? Isn't the game around $65? Controller is $70. So if you buy items individually still works out cheaper

Thought I'd be questioned on why I would return it under the satisfaction guarantee (have had this before) just to buy it back or having to at least do it in two transactions through two stores but got a really good employee who totally understood and did it in one transaction.
Was happy enough to take the $50 in a gift card instead of cash since I bought it with store credit originally.Thanks for encouraging me to get off my ass and drive into town :)

It has been improved over the first Pro Controllers but it's not perfect in my opinion.
