I was also looking at getting this. Says postage is $60 for me (NSW)

    • Imo grab it, it's an awesome value TV.
I've got it and I love it and so do my fellow tech nerds!

  • Great find !

  • +7

Have this tv. amazing quality for its price.
I give it the official Gambo thumbs up.

Forza Horizon 4 looks schmick on it.

    • +2

I give it 5 coconuts out of 5. Great TV for the price.

  • +6

    Great deal.

I find it funny that many people trolling at me when I suggested them to consider Hisense for their new TV. Hisense TVs are great for its price and quality is awesome.

    • -8

maybe, if just $200-300 difference with lg samsung or sony with similar spec i will choose branded.

      • +8

Which branded, the hisense branded one?

      • +8

What? The hisense blows away the LG at this same price point. The Samsung and Sony have pros and cons.

Hisense is a branded product now.

      • Wouldn't touch LG lcd's eww.

    • +4

      just like Hyundai

Serious question - Price aside how does this compare to Samsung QLED Q7?

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/samsung/samsung-q7-65-series-7-4k-…

    • +3

Well I guess you’re not allowed to ask questions here going by the -6 downvotes.

      • Are you new here? Downvote bullying is the norm. You can expect any anonymous voting system to be abused.

    • Tough crowd, here is my +

    • +1

Had no idea i was negged until velocita replied….

I wanted to know because I can get the Q7 at a discounted price (not as cheap as this thou).

It was a genuine question, unsure why I was negged….

      • +2

You got negged because you were asking for a comparison of a good 4K with a TV 3 times the price, sporting QLED tech which is a competing technology to OLED!

Of course the QLED is better but you dont go comparing a Hyundai to a BMW do you?

        • +2

          I did say price aside didn't I?

Obviously given the price diff the Samsung should be better, but I thought it was a fair question to ask as this Hisense could possibly be 90+% of the Samsung for a third of the price no?

          • +1

@mg_k: I see why you asked, but price aside, it is a far inferior set.

You need to decide for yourself whether it is a valid compromise. 90% of people might think it is, but that does in no way mean this set is 90% as good.

        • +1

          Competing tech to OLED loooooooool

        • Hyundai is closing the gap fast, but what's happening to Toyota and Holden?

        • -2

Of course you compare a Hyundai to a BMW, and the BMW loses every time, but the real kick in the pants is when you start having to do maintenance out of warranty.

  • What colour is the bezel? Is it silver or black?

  • +2

Just FYI OP, been cheaper here ($1196 + $100 gift card).

That said, apparently a good TV for the price.

  • Is it true the abc Iview app does not work on hisense TV's?

    Need abc kids on demand!

    • It was working on mine last time I checked. Which was about a month ago?

    • You’ll want an Apple TV or console that has the apps you need.

    • +1

I have the 65p7. It indeed has ABC iView, Freeview, Netflix, Stan and YouTube all built in. ABC kids on demand gets a thrashing on mine at bed time! No need for Apple TV or console unless you need more than that?

    • Thanks, i have read a few things that suggested hisense didn't have basic apps like Iview etc.

    • I have a 55P6. It comes with SBS On Demand, Netflix, YouTube and Stan apps. If you want to watch iView then that's done via Freeview. i.e. when you're watching ABC, a banner appears, press the 'green' button on the remote and then you can watch ABC catch-up TV.

Also, don't get a Hisense TV if you're planning to use a Logtiech Harmony remote to control your Foxtel, TV, Blu-ray, Fetch etc.

  • Great tv, great price, would jump on this if I was in the market.

  • For those that have it does it fit the standard 200x200 vesa wall mount? Also, how do HD sports (Foxtel) look? Any other gains for the 200hz over 100hz? I don’t do much gaming..

    • +1

      TVs are only 60hz or 120hz …

  • I need more TV deals in my life

  • I would recommend to go in store and ask for the best deal. I bought Hisense 50P7 from JB HIFI Westfield Doncaster for 679 and after availing company discount it costed me 644 AUD. The same TV was advertised as 895 in store and week prior at 795. They are in the process of clearing stock as Hisense will be releasing new models in May so worth asking for their best deal.

    • I hit my 50” for about 799, after I ordered it the site added $200 to the price. Maybe a small price error from a small retailer. This was late last year though.

  • Pup Grade? Must be a real dog of a product then

  • -2

Series 7 is great, u got the 50 inch. But when camera pans upwards on a dark scene I can see these horizontal lines I think from the backlight zones. I don’t mind really because compared to some TVs this is cheap and looks great, but it’s not a perfect experience like a Samsung OLED.

    • +8

      Samsung doesn't make OLED TVs.

      • -2

That's how expensive they are, I've never bothered to check who makes them.

  • Bought from last deal, highly satisfied with the quality, surprised with the sound effect. The OS is 50% more smooth than x93e I had, the only cons I found is without voice control it's hard to do youtube search.

  • How is this TV compare to Samsung 65" NU7100?, samsung one is about $100 more

  • "3 available / 1 sold"

  • P7 vs NU8000??

  • -7

I use Hisense fridge and my electricity bill gone up quite a bit. I'm not sure about TV though.. But I'm a bit reluctant to use Hisense or any Chinese brand goods.

    • I'm guessing your previous fridge was perhaps a little smaller, possibly one of the most energy efficient fridges on the market and was on low settings?
All whitegoods have a energy star rating and say how many kilowatts a year the appliance uses on standard settings, use this to compare different products.
      Cheers :).

  • WA postage is $90, any one had experience getting a price beat from the good guys?

  • -1

Great TV for Price. NU8000 is better however price difference
not worth it. I got the Harvey special with gift card :D

  • I went into Harvey Norman yesterday and purchased the P7. After using it I noticed there was a small black dot on the screen. Not dead pixels either. Took it back to Harvey Norman and got a Samsung NU7100 65” and loving it.

Also the display P7 they had in store had a dead pixel. I would say hisense have poor quality control also hisense does not do amazon prime video for those watching prime.

    • How much did you get the Sammy for if you don’t mind me asking?
Did you compare pq side by side?

      Thanks

      • Samsung was $1498 or something from Harvey Norman. I really like the Samsung OS, has all built in catch up etc.

I did compare side by side and specs wise the hisense is better with the blacks, but didn’t like the OS too much and quality seems hit and miss for me.

To be honest the Samsung is fine for the colour/backlight for me and feel much more comfortable getting Samsung instead

  • For this product I just tried entering PUPGRADE into

    "Gift cards, vouchers, coupons
    Enter code:"

I was told "This code can't be applied to your order."

Is that the right spot to add the code? Otherwise I'd have to click "Confirm & Pay"?

    • SOLVED - Hmmm, turns out I was somehow registered as a US account….

  • which is better P7 or NU7100 in the 65" ??

  • I finally purchased one. Been looking for awhile

  • FWIW I've had the Hisense 55M7000UWG for 2.5 years now. Awesome TV. Still amazing picture quality and great to use.

    • Another 55M7000UWG owner here, had it about 2 years and it really is a great TV. Just wish that the Australian firmware support for the TV hadn't been cut off years ago whilst other countries get regular updates.

      • I'll worry about that if it stops working ;)

  • Ahhhhhhhhh. Seriously cannot decide. I semi narrowed it down to a 75 inch Sony x90f after spending hours looking at TV's in store but they haven't been in the deals for agesssss. sad face

    Good price otherwise, OP. 👍

  • Cheaper at the good guys now - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/15OFFTV

    • +1

Yep, I also just walked into Harvey Norman and they have a "Best deal offer" on their computer to match TGG for $1,274… Plus you get the $100 Gift Card

  • Miffed, purchased this, this morning….now cheaper at TGG and Harvey Grrr, what’s the chance Appliance Central refunding the difference? Slim I imagine.

  • Just bought the 55" for$852 including delivery using the 20% discount voucher through them
