I have received many requests for deals on the LG V30+ after this extremely popular deal. Unfortunately we couldn't get the previous deal back, but this is still a hot price for an excellent LG flagship in the V30+. The extra discount is applied at checkout, and then please apply coupon code PSAVEIT for 12% off. As usual, 100% AU stock, GST tax invoice with ABN, TRS eligible, and 24 months warranty from LG Australia. Thank you very much for the support!

          • @Widget: Maybe - but it's >$100 for a logitech harmony to do all your units with one remote…

  • Fellow bargainers who own this phone, did you face any problem with regards to the voice cutting down while making calls. while making calls the opposite person couldn't hear me properly or at all & this is not the network fault for sure. It has happened at multiple location having full network available.

I have tried 2 so far and none has that problem.

I've had mine a few months. No issues with calling so far.

If you think it's your microphone playing up, there's a Diagnostics Menu with a loopback test so you can speak into your phone and hear yourself.

Diagnostic Menu: Go to your Dialer: enter #546368#930#, select Device Test > SAAT > Service Menu - Manual Test > Loopback Test.

I have the same thing on my G6. It starts ok, then people start complaining they can't hear me. I put phone to horizontal position and bring mic really close - after 2 seconds all good. Funny thing - happens only sometimes during normal calls, Whatsup/Skype all good. So I'm thinking it must be software issue.
Googled around - happens to some people. Recommendation is to switch off noise supression, ok google and to clean the mic.
Moving to V30 now, will reset G6 and try to debug. Might try with warranty.

This is a great phone but the LG camera app is awful. Grab the Google Pixel APK and you'll be set.

The difference is night and day.

    • The Camera is absolutely shocking. For sure my oneplus 6t with GCam mod is better than this

  • I never thought i'd say this, but I actually don't care about headphone jack anymore.
Honestly was so against handsets without one before, bu I can't remember the last time I used it. Bluetooth is just so much more convenient and no more phone flying out of your pocket because the cable gets caught on something..

This is a fantastic deal for new stock and don't think you'd get a better new phone for this price.

    • this one has a headphone jack?

    • I personally was in an opposite position. I was ok with phones that doesn't have headphones jack, and happy with my bluetooth headphones until I got this V30+ and tried my desktop headphones with it. Just love the full, clear sound quality, so although it's not a "must", but would be nice have it at that high quality.

    • Erm, what's the point of this comment? You do realise that you can still use Bluetooth headphones with a phone that has a headphone jack right? You don't have to pick one or the other…

So, I'm in the market for a new phone and this is very tempting, but I have been burned by LG before (bootloop/misc. battery issues). Is the V30+ relatively issue free? And what's the software support like? I remember there being barely any updates when I last had an LG phone.

    • +1

I have an LG G6 and really like it, but have just purchased this. Boot loop is a thing of the past. Software updates still terrible on LG devices and this won't get too much more past Oreo.

    • +1

Yeah I got burnt by G4 as well. I sort of boycott this brand already. I'm not impressed with their latest offers such as G7 thinq or V40

I've switched to Oneplus after assessing Huawei is not worth my time neither

Chinese Androids are where things are going

Korean brands are not offering the price or bang for buck anymore

This deal is only given out as its a two year old phone. Getting rid of stock to prepare for v40

    • I got one of the later G4's and it hasn't missed a beat, and my V20 is fine.

Can you do a deal on LG G7 please?

    • Can't wait for the G8?

      • G8 will be too expensive for me when newly released

    Thanks OP. Purchased (at last!)

  • <Owner of the V30+> Most of the features of the phone are pretty average compared to others in the same bracket; nothing fancy or special, but not exactly terrible IMHO. What sets this phone apart, however, is the audio experience. If you're a music lover looking for a better audio experience (via wired earphones only), there is no other phone in the same bracket that will compare. The DAC is, compared to the average phone, simply amazing. For budding audiophiles who aren't ready to carry around a portable DAC, this is an excellent phone.
Random note: For those who use wireless earphones, this is not for you. The DAC for any device only works for wired earphones. Wireless earphones are wireless because they have a dedicated DAC within the earphone itself (thus not utilising the phone DAC).

    • Also supports hd audio formats over bluetooth if of interest.

    • Yeah like Boxall said, this supports aptXHd and LDac. If you look on the Qualcomm Aptx site not a lot of phones have the codec support, a few Motos, lot of Sonys, some Huawei's and the LG V series/Pixel XL. Samsung and Nokia dont appear on their site.

Yes but with the phone lack of support and updates. Even with DAC, it's internal battery will likely not gonna last very long, since they are all old stock I believe.

If you are an audiophile sure. Just don't expect it will last long

Mine as manufactured in January 2019 from the last deal.

        • My G4 and V20 batteries are still going strong. I get over 24 hours on the V20 and the G4 is good for 2 days before I need to charge it. The V30 is even more efficient according to the large number of whirlpool users given it's more efficient processor.

Mine arrived in the post today. Looks good so far. Thanks OP

  • I followed the link here even though the promo code is expired, and found a deal waiting: 12% off + 10% disc with code POP10 (advertised on the same page), plus had a few days left on a free ebay plus trial, so achieved a delivered price of $477.12. Now wondering if I should have tried Cash Rewards…
