I think this is the cheapest ever for this TV and seems to have decent ratings on rtings.com

Free pickup instore is available or you can get delivery. Delivery for me in Canberra came to $55, which seems good considering I probably don't want to be moving this myself.

People always talk about putting a big tv in their toilet. But with 4 of these and the cardboard of the boxes as roof, I can built a portaloo made of screen….

  • Main difference between this and a Sony X90F? I heard this is better for gaming but not sure why.

    • The NU8000 has very low input lag/latency, and very good handling of fast motion. It's also got the AMD FreeSync adaptive refresh rate technology in the panel like a lot of computer monitors do. There's some more info in the RTINGS article in the description.

      • There is not a single mention of AMD Freesync in the manual or on the web page.

Are you sure it includes it?

        • There's some update notes in the RTINGS article stating it:

Update 6/8/2018: FreeSync has been tested and the scores have been updated.
Update 5/23/2018: Firmware version 1103 has added Freesync support. We are currently testing it and will update the review shortly.

It's also mentioned pretty extensively in the article itself - https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/nu8000 - Just search for "freesync" and you'll find it.

Hopefully someone who owns the TV will be able to confirm.

      • Would AMD FreeSync help if I have a card between GTX 1050Ti or RTX 2080Ti or only AMD cards?

I recall some article saying that some Nvidia cards can take advantage of AMD FreeSync or something now somewhere but I forgot.

        • My original comment said something about the nVIDIA support of FreeSync either upcoming or already available, I'm not 100% on the details so I removed it in case I was wrong. I haven't looked super close into it because I'm using a G-SYNC panel for gaming already.

  • Bought. I think I’ll need a new media unit for it.

  • Is the Sony 75X90F a much better TV? Getting cold feet!

    • What a TV!!
