Pretty sure the phones aren't locked to any network

      • Thx.

  • I'm abit confused with the international roaming thing, I'm looking at getting the 128gb s10 through woolworths, so when im overseas can i just purchase a cheap sim and use that or do i need to buy a dual sim model?? also if i have to get a dual sim how do you use the two sims together?? thanks

    • +1

No International roaming with Woolies mobile, so u have to swap out the sim.

As for dual sim : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSpoZe1XT1Q

      • So could i just buy a prepaid sim through a provider when i get over to europe? I realize then i would have a new number with that sim but i wouldnt see that as an issue, thanks

        • Yes the phone is unlocked so you can use any other sim card in it.

  • +1

It's good deal, but probably I will get my Westpac friend to buy it outright and plus boost mobile plan. (Boost mobile will shortly release two 365 days prepaid plan, $150 for 80Gb + unlimitled national call + unlimited selected contries intanational call. or $300 for 240Gb + unlimitled national call + unlimited selected contries intanational call).

    • +1

Hi, can you link to that boost plan plz?

      • You will find it in their website in next few days

    • Hmm, just noticed the Boost deal. Pity I signed up a few days ago.

      • yeah wow some insider knowledge there!

  • Say if an Ozbargainer pays for the 36 month contract, does that mean that they get the plan for the same price as the 24 month contract but an extra 12 months of services?

    • +1

You pay an extra $240, but the headset cost is spread over 36 months instead of 24

      • I see - handset cost is less monthly but the price of the plan is the same! darn!

  • -5

I would really appreciate if someone can share their WW staff discount :)

    • +1

Just out of curiosity, doesn't it have to match with your personal details when you apply for the plan ?

      • According to a previous comment by a member, it still works when personal detail are not matching.

  • Any further benefits for customers with woolworths home insurance?

    • I don’t think so, as far as I know

  • +1

Any chance these things will get shipped before the 8th March? I can't wait!

  • Just found out that most tempered glass screen protector in the market will NOT work with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on S10 and S10+. Whitestone is the only brand that works (it uses liquid UV bonding)

The film screen protector works fine.

  • +1

I think im going to pull trigger on s10e, the buds better be goood

  • For anyone looking to try out these handsets and are based in Sydney, you can do it in Harvey Norman North Ryde. They have all 3 models there. Have to admit, they look really good

    • Samsung store at Macquarie shopping centre has them too.

      • For Melbourne users - Samsung Store at Highpoint has all 3 models as well.

  • I am assuming this will not be on the Telstra 4gx network?

  • I was just rejected my application after an automated credit check. I requested a copy of the credit report and there was no defaults on the report. The only possible flag I can think of is a new credit inquiry as I recently got a new credit card.

Gave them a ring and they said there's nothing they can do about it. As I'm on a full time income, I can't see why I'm being denied a 65 p.m payment plan.

Does anyone else have any similar experiences? I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong as I definitely don't want this happening to me for bigger loans in the future..

    • Did you check your current credit score and how has it fair for recent months ?

      • there wasn't a credit score as such on the report.

It had details of inquiries and data on repayments I had made on existing credit.

Is there some other source to get a credit score

        • Yeah you can try searching for scoring companies on Google, but I check mine using Credit Savvy

    • I just tried to purchase now, and my application have been " referred for further review". They ask for my Scanned IDs and payslips:/

      • Was this before or after the payment page ?
I've completed the application but got an email saying it will be reviewed. Paid the monthly fee though.

        • Before. Just got an declined email fro them this morning :(

      • I applied and got the notification that they needed to conduct a credit assessment. Provided the documents and was approved immediately and to call back to complete the order. They said when processing payment that the Cashrewards would not go through as the order was not completed in original transaction. The $50 is pretty significant so I cancelled, any point trying again from the start?

        • I supplied the docs they asked, but still got declined. Pretty disappointed as i just got pre-approved for a home loan 3 months ago for 600k, what is this tiny $65 plan so special to get. No specific reason for declined was stated either. Guess i am keeping my money then. Cheap prepaid deals here i come

  • This WW Plan is cheap for either the 3GB or 10GB plans, however do compare with the outright purchase of the phone via EPP (if you have anyone working in their partner programs with their 20% off). The new S10/S10+ outright price (already threads in OzBargain on the deals) with the up front $150 Boost mobile plan with 40GB pm for 12 months would definitely be the better offer. Only drawback is that it doesn't come with the Buds. However with a $350 - $500 savings, you could purchase a higher end wireless earphones like the Sennheiser Momentum True or Beoplay E8.

In summary, you get way more data, contracted to only 12 months and optional better earphones for the same price.

    • +1

Correct me if I have missed something but EPP price for S10 is 1079 in addition to this let's say you buy two years worth of Boost plan since this deal is for 24 months so the total cost for two years will be 1079 + 300 =$1379. This deal is 1528 after cashrewards cashback so 149 more but you do a get a little bit more data with Woolworths as well as free earbuds.
Boost deal will give you about 6.66 Gb of data and this will range from 7-9 gb with school holiday bonus although on the plus side for BOOST is international calling and full Telstra network. Overall I don't think this is such a bad deal considering you get free buds and also you don't have to fork out $1200 in one go.

      • +2

Great to have a healthy discussion to find the best deal for this phone. Again, the deciding factor is finding the CHEAPEST and best value in terms of total cost at the end 12 months or 24 months. When I calculated my S10+ with WW 10GB plan, the total cost was from memory $1968. Buying from EPP and putting on Boost or even JBHIFI $45 plan only cost me about $1500 for 12 months.

Obviously a lot of factors boils down to the price difference between EPP and WW.
        Pros:
        1. The bigger the storage (ie 512GB/1TB) or models (ie S10+) would incur higher saving margins due to more discount applied to the EPP.
        2. Higher/Costlier WW plans with data (ie 10GB or more) would be more expensive vs JBhifi Telstra $45 for 45GB plan (with $200 gift card). WW $30pm 10GB v JB Telstra $28pm 45GB, with Apple PLay, Foxtel Sports, etc goodies after "subtracting the pro rated" plan with the $200 gift card. You'll save more here.
        2. Flexibility in not being tied down to a 24 months contract. Instead, you can find the best value SIM plan in the next 12 months (after Boost or other equivalent SIMS like Aldi, Kogan or even WW).
        3. It's more expensive if you have to break the WW "contract" as you'll have to pay off the device (without the remaining $250 discount spread across 24/36 months).
        4. Ability to claim TRS if travelling.

        Cons:
        1. Upfront cost
        2. No earbuds. It's debatable how good it is but it's definitely not worth the RRP$249. The Jabra Elites are cheaper and better, and so are others like the BOSE frees. All these are based on Youtube and website reviews.

Of course, choose what's best for you but I'm just offering another alternative to what's value and CHEAPER alternative than the WW to fellow OZBs

    • How is boost better? Only 80gb in a year, versus 131 from wollies. Free earbuds and the convenience to pay monthly.

      • +1

Would work out marginally cheaper for me with education discount and TRS even factoring in $200 extra for buds with flexibility to change carriers/cheaper/better plan in 12 months. If you opt out of WW you lose the remaining prorated $250 discount. WW is very clever with spreading the $250 discount over the life of your contract.

For me an S10 would be $1183 for 12 months with the Boost $150 plan and the WW option if i eject after 12 months would be $1415 (incl $50 CR) but I get buds.

edit: also I think through the Samsung store you get 24 months interest free so could spread out the cost over the months?

  • Any other new woolworths mobile customers place this order and cant login to view said order?

    • also didnt receive an order confirmation via email, but got charged

  • Had any existing Woolworths customers with expired contracts managed to get any further discounts?

    • my contract ends in April 22 2019 and the only discount is $250 and if i purchase it now, it will waive the early cancellation fee of $59

  • Seems that $250 discount expires on the 28th February.

    • Looks like the $250 discount is still available ! Presumably till 7 March…

      • Yeah they updated the terms this morning

  • Could someone please guide me on how to get $50 cashreward and $20 referal gift card please?
I have never use Cash reward before and am new to WW mobile

    • Click on "CS Cashback" under "go to deal". You need to be a member, if not just sign up.
I don't know about the other oone.

  • A quick question.

If i port from a plan,

Would it be possible for me to keep that plan but replace it with a different number or "new" number from my choosing?

  • Just went ahead with the S10E. Anyone knows how long it takes for cashrewards to track the purchase ?

    • Mine only took about an hour. You should get an email.

      • Havent received an email but it appeared on my CR account shortly after the purchase
        Cheers !

  • Prob dumb question but would this handset be locked to Telstra?

    • I believe it's not locked to any network.

  • Is the phone leased or bought

  • Hi,

Anyone a current woolies mobile member? I'm signing up but the referral codes don't work. I talked to a sales consultant and he said just send him an email with a screenshot of the referral code on the woolies app/woolies mobile page.

Apparently we get $20 each as a woolie egift card

    Cheers

    • Hi aka nioh, I can send you mine.
Can you please private message me as your account doesn't accept new conversation.
I will send you screenshot of code, cheers

      • Pmed, and thanks for letting me know my new pm was disabled ive enabled it now

        • Sent, thanks

          • @davemurphy: can you send me one too :)

            • @zbmat: Same here. Anyone wants to share their referral code so we can both earn a $20 gift card.
Also just wondering which step do you input this info?
As I've paid and got confirmation of the sale already, will I still be able to add that info ?

      • Hi all, if anyone has a referal code to spare i am happy to add it to my account and also my wifes account so we can all benefit. Thanks :)

        • +1

Hi PAFC1870, I will PM you shortly! :)

    • i couldnt find a place to put the referral code either.. can you share the email to which the screenshot should be sent..? you can PM me…

    • Tried emailing the woolies mobile team last week to get them to add the code but no response :/

  • Just wondering where we can see that it includes the earbuds?
And does anyone have any suggestions r.e. phone insurance ?

If only this was dual Sim!
    Thank you

    Thanks

    • check out the previous comments talking about using Amex Essential Credit card to get insurance…

  • Hi guys… is the 20GB bonus applied for all users?
I did not select Opting for "Family Zone"… Does that mean i wouldn't be getting the additional 20Gb bonus ? Is the family zone thingy altogether separate ?

    • I hope not. I also didn’t select it. I think the family zone thing is software that allows you to control what your kids can access on the internet.

      • Yes family zone is unrelated to bonus

  • Seems it doesn't include earbuds anymore

    • +1

Should still include for purchases made before 7th March 2019

    • +1

I confirmed with a rep that they will include the buds until the 7th March. They extended it.

      • +1

        Thanks a lot!

      • They told me the same too

  • S10+ minimum 86.60 month 24 months for total minimum cost of 1868. That seem right?

    • +2

For the 512gb? Yes that sound right. Just out of curiosity why are people buying 512? Isn’t that overkilling when you can also add a micro sd?

      • -1

I wish they had a 32GB version like the S7. 128GB on the base models is really kinda overkill

      • +1

        For dual sim

      • +1

Dual sim with local stock without needing to add a microsd card which would take up Sim 2 slot

  • +1

Woolworth Mobile reps are banned from Ozbargain (sockpuppeting)??? So Rod, who’s extremely helpful on Whirlpool and has an Ozbargain account, isn’t allowed to post on Ozbargain?

  • +1

    Thanks OP, signed up!

  • Are there any Woolworths group employees who want rewards points reading this? I can get a 10% discount if I use your rewards number to order. Let me know via PM :)

  • Anyone knows if the phone comes with a case and screen protector ?

  • Signed up last night around 11PM but still haven't received a confirmation email almost 11 hours later. Anyone have the same problem?

My card has been debited already..

    • Can take up to 24 hours.

    • Yeah you will most likely receive an email late afternoon today

  • +1

    My phone's been sent :)

    • How do you know? Did you get a email?

      • +1

Yep an email saying my order has been shipped and a tracking number for star track. I imagine I'll have it tomorrow or Thursday.

      • Received my tracking number through my email. Star Track is sending it out.

    • Me too! 128GB S10+ Prism Green.

    • Wait what ?!
I still haven't receive any email on this :(

  • Received tracking this morning and my app has updated overnight to new plan. Weird thing it was saying the school holiday bonus was only 10gb per holiday. Interested to hear what other is saying.
