  if you have a Visa Gold/platinum credit card, (and purchase most of your travel expenses with the card), overseas travel insurance is FREE, including Medivac

      Good point, since I have paid $300 on travel insurance so far this year

      Not sure about $90 per year, never paid it, as we have a "nab mortgage package" and its included at no extra cost.

      Anyway $90 is still much cheaper than paying for the insurance if you needed travel insurance for yourself or immediate family every year :)

      A friend of mine also paid about $300 or so for insurance to travel to the Philippines earlier this year, he has a gold card and forgot it was included……FAIL

    I love this deal, I checked it out a couple months ago…and I went through all the fine print. The insurance is free only for 90 days, which would suit the average traveller, but not for my round the world trip :(

  Travel Insurance Direct eats them on cost, even with 25% off. (some TID discount codes still give 10% as well)

    Totally agree, just checked: $210 with the 25% off or $185 with TID and 10% off. These guys are not cheaper even with the 25% off.
