Minimum spend $120, up to $100 discount. So discount applies for purchases between $120 - $1,000.

    • +22

      nice maths mate

      • +4

I just can't stand how eBay specifies a minimum spend in conjunction with a maximum discount. Just keep it simple already and put the range within which the discount applies.

        • +2

Make it so it's simple to read.

        • +2

No, that's actually more confusing. Many ignorant people will read it as no purchase over $1000 applies.

Give this man/woman a Nobel Prize.

    • -1

Do you do math tutoring because I'm looking for someone at the moment to tutor my cousin.

      • +2

What sort of services could you offer in return???

        • +15

The username can give you some idea

      • -1

Big Shaq is my tutor. If you're looking for a fun learning environment, he's the bomb.
        2 plus 2 is 4, minus 1 that's 3, quick maffs!

    • -1

You can still spend more but the discount is not applied after $1000

      • +2

You mean, the maximum discount of $100 is applied for everything over $1000.

        • -2

You just said the same thing. Diji1 said “after $1000”. Don’t confuse after with over

          • +1

            @grasstown: It's not the same thing…
"discount is not applied after $1000" means you get no discount at all if you spend more than $1000…

            • -2

@koganei: No . It says discount is not applied after $1000. It does not say discount is not applied before $1000.

    • If you buy more than $1000, your discount will be limited to $100

  • +3

    Nice

    • Username checks out.

      Hi jack

  • -4

Since the eBay 12% off sale, I struggle to get excited about 10% off anymore.

    • +2

      More pr0n needed.

    • +1

Oh but of course you specifically deserve better than 10% off. They will try and meet this expectation for you next time.

  • It’s something

    This is new.

    • just make more accounts bro

      • +9

Just keep it to 15 accounts or you might get banned.

    • +10

A maximum of 2 transactions apply

      This is new.

      No it isn't

      • Oh crap!

        • Yeah I was burned with the first one when I didn’t realise it was single use.

  • +3

confirm this code works for car parts as well!

    • Excluded Items' means;
      all items listed in the following categories;
Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Coins (11116), Gift Cards (184609), Other Lots More Items (88433), Real Estate (10542); and

      ???

      • +1

Damn it. There goes my plan to save $100 on some eBay real estate.

    • Can confirm it works with car parts. Praise jeebus

    • I tried to get "K&N Motorcycle Oil Filter Fits BMW K1200 & K1300 - KN-160" but it was rejected. I would assume motorcycle parts should be classified under car parts?

  • +1

It feels like every second day we're seeing 10% off, what's going on? Are eBay sellers struggling to sell stuff thanks to greedy Ebay and their fees?

    • +1

the max fee ive paid for past 10 or so sales is $1.00 plus gst, (only the 3% or so paypal fee) List on weekends, i dont know how ebay make any money these days

      • +1

they make more money these days…. ;)

    • It certainly feels like it, and it’s certainly not irregular, however it’s far from constant and the minumum spent makes it out of reach for many purchases. Originally it was in response or in defense of Amazon but it feels more like BAU now.

    • +1

Aus economy is going down the toilet, people are spending less.

    • -1

probably because openbazaar.org is really taking off.
governments are paying ebay to pay us to use it so we dont use decentralised options like openbazaar with real money.
lol thats not happening, we are way to lazy and stupid and scared to do so. which should be the opposite, having money in a bank is how they control you, must follow rules, cant have them take me moneys,oh they are, notice your money is not worth shit anymore - they are eroding your (profanity) savings. isnt that theft? also taxing you, making up bullshit laws and taxing you some more because well we implemented this, plus you pay normal tax. well thats optional now.
and then you wonder why people are crazy these days. brb aliens.

      • +1

        What?

      • +3

Ramblings aside, I think you're underestimating how lazy and resistant to change the general populus is.

  • +1

Weren't max discounts during 2018 a lot higher than $100?

    • I was checking this and they were $300 max discount

I have been waiting a couple of months now so I can get at least $150 max discount. I think the better deals come around November/December

  • Perhaps a silly question, but why are coins always excluded? Cars, bikes, houses I can understand but why coins?

    • -1

Trying to curb inflation. Imagine buying $10 worth of coins for $11. Or deflation by going the other way

      • +1

Inflation is caused by the money supply not transactions.

Back in 1996 the future CEO of eBay, Devin Wenig, went out with his girlfriend to a coin collectors convention where his close mates were waiting.

In short his close mates stopped him getting into the convention and stole his girlfriend was smitten by the coin crew.

Ever since that day, Devin has swore revenge against coin collectors. Never being the biggest fan of violent retributions, this has been his most harsh of revenge campaigns against those who wronged him.

      • +4

I've honestly been laughing over this for the last 20 minutes

      • "Wenig's time for you b&*ches to buy a new pair of noise cancelling headphones, get ready for some Devin intervention"

    • It's quite simply could be used for money laundering.

  • Just saw the dates

    • +2

      Any Medjool?

  • +2

Well I just bought something with 5% discount two hours ago thinking eBay won't give you a 10% off this weekend….

    Feels bad man.

    • F

    • I was expecting one percent after they went to the pathetic 3% but they must monitor Ozbargain.

    • Did literally the same thing yesterday for a pretty big purchase too. I even went on to chat to ask if they could hint if there were any discount codes coming. Dudes already despatched the item too.

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a Ipad 6th gen.. Could someone help me find the best deal if possible and would it be worth getting with this 10% off sale?

I'm not too familiar how to find legit shops when searching eBay.

    Thanks

    • +1

Not too difficult. Just search the iPad 6th gen, filter by specs wanted (storage, condition, colour, model, etc) sort price from low to high. Click on the iPad that looks good, check the feedback to ensure seller is reputable (not new, sells regularly and has feedback of ~500+). Purchase if happy.

  • Perfect timing for me to buy an S9+ that actually gets honoured.

Any tips on a trustworthy seller?

  • +4

Confirmed this includes car parts. Finally I can put my car back together

  • -4

EBay deals are no longer deals at all

  • Can anyone recommend a reputable seller of solar panels? Main use is for camping.

    • yes renogy, their flex panels are expensive but mine has withstood the sydney hail, rain and whatever thrown at it, i just bought my 3rd panel, output is ~72w on a good day on 100w panel

  • Any good deals around 50- 65inch tvs

    • Use the search function and find out

  • This works on auction items as well. Saved $58. OzBargain is the No. 1 website in the whole world 😊👍

  • Is it risky to bid on something that will end in 6.5 hours?

    • It is a risk, but ebay is displaying this information about that code:

      Redemption code: POST10 Expires 04/03/19

So unless they change the expiry, you have plenty of time.

  • Finally, been waiting for ages for Travel category to be included,

manage to get a good suitcase for a decent price.

    17% off * 10% code * 10% GST, Ka-ching!
