It’s a steal at that price. I got it for about 2250 about 3-4 months ago.

    • I was tempted to order it last week with the student edge 10% off with this:
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-75-Series-7-4K-UHD-HDR-S…
Which brings it down to 1750 delivered but my parents arent allowing it since we already got 3 tvs lol

      • +1

Could always sell one of the ones you've got?

    • @Dealking how are you finding it so far? I'm weighing up this vs the 8 series. Great deal at this price though

      • Thinking of getting the 8 too, 65".

      • +1

@Yowie, I am loving it so far - no complaints. I hooked it up to my vodafone tv. I was impressed with the sound too but ended up getting the domayne yamaha 5.1 package deal on here.
Enjoying it to the fullest 😀👍

    • OK, i might wait another 3-4 months then.

      • Wait for what?

        • -2

You must be new here. I mean on planet earth.

  • +1

This is rediculous, I bought my 65 inch Samsung 1.5 years ago for $1700…..

    • I got a Kogan 55 inch with google chromecast last year $479 delivered lol now its preventing me from upgrading since I cant just chuck my old tvs away :p

    • I bought a B8 one year before 120Hz Freesync OLEDs come out.

      • B8 is still quite expensive at the moment but I think I have decided to go for size than the display.
Given that I dont really want to spend that much on a TV

      • B8 is 120Hz too?

    • +8

This is ridiculous, I bought my 60 inch Kuro 12 years ago for $8k+

      • Tell me about it. I paid nearly $10K 15 years ago for a 42" SD Hitachi. Granted it still works like a charm.

        • My NES works like a charm from the 80s.

      • +1

And worth every cent too. Those deep blacks, oh yeah!

    • +1

From memory reading a while ago, they will eventually keep LED's in the cheaper range and only get cheaper.

OLED are cheaper to make but the production and research is amping up the price.

One day, LED will phase out and OLED(once they recoop their costs) will be the standard due to cost of production.

    • +3

This is ridiculous, I bought my 23.8 inch BenQ GW2470HL 8 months ago for $109.99

  • How is this $1199 different to the above? Sorry for my lack of knowledge..

    • +11

Size. 20 inches bigger my friend ;)

      • +2

Oops - think I need to go to bed now :-) Thanks mate

  • Seems like a great price

  • Wow. Great price. Although it's only a mediocre panel it's fantastic value.

    • was looking at it in HN - was decent picture regardless of the specs on paper…

the HN guy 'said' they dont play with settings / they just take it out and set demo mode…
(could be lying) but regardless was a decent panel for the price

      • Everything looks good running those 4k demos in store. Taking it home and playing actual movies/TV shows on it is a different story.

    • +1

      It's perfect for gaming.

      • I've heard that the lag is actually a bit high on this unit, can you confirm? I've been looking at the 8 series for this reason. Note I am using PS4 pro and an XBOx One S not a PC.

        • They have no idea what they're talking about. It has a 13.5ms of input lag, the contrast ratio is 5000:1 and it's 4K. Some PC monitors are not even this good in terms of input lag. For gaming this is a beast.

For movies and and image quality, you can spend x2 as much and get the 8 series, as this model may disappoint, would you care though for the price and size?

  • super tempted but don't really need one!

    • Ditto.

    • Thtat's the problem

We but stuff we want not stuff we need :)

I know I;m guilty of this

  • How does this compare to the Hisense 75P7?

    • To be honest I dont know but I rather pay that extra for a well known brand so I look better when I have guest lol…

      • Hisense bought Sharp (a Japanese company) a few years ago, their TVs are pretty good in value, the only reason I chose Samsung over Hisense is their 65N7 at the time was quite bulky, not sure about the P series

    • +1

I did some research on all these TVs last year trying to buy one for the world cup.

      1. This is edge lit and 75P7 is backlit
      2. This doesn't have local dimming
      3. This doesn't have wide color gamut
      4. This has much inferior viewing angle

However this is a really good price for this panel considering the price of other 75" (75P7 is around $2500).

damnnnnn.. if only my Hisense miraculously broke…..

  • I have the 49” version of this series. Panel doesn’t look the greatest and TBH rather wait for a Hisense around the same price.

  • awesome deal, thanks for sharing

Saw this if you are looking for a 75inch in particular good deal. Average TV entry

Ended up buying the 65 inch for 1200. seemed like better value. Extra $400 for 10 inches. I can probably pass considering i don't watch enough TV

If this was $1500 i'd jump on it pretty quickly.

    • Only if you stocked up some gift cards from 15% off UK eBay from last Xmas

    • +1

      Extra $400 for 10 inches.

Depending on the context some people might pay that

      • I'd pay $400 extra for 10" more ;) ;)

  • -3

This is an end of line product, hence the discount. It will be obsolete soon.

    • +5

      All TVs become obsolete.

    • +1

      Thanks, Captain

  • The TV $1,995 at all the other retailers, not that much of a discount with that in mind, but it's under $1,700, so it's go time. Thought it went for $2,200.

  • +1

Difficult choice. Whether to buy this, or eat for the next 10 days.

    • +3

You must be new here. Buy first, eat later.

    • You spend $164 a day on food??????????????

      • +14

Well i am on a diet.

  • You guys going to take a risk with these peeps? Reading neutral feedback, delivery took 2 weeks for them? eBay will cover you if poop hits the fan though. Just waiting time.

    • I've ordered 3 aircons from them on separate occasions and they all arrived within about 4-5 days. I am in Melbourne.

    • -3

EBay seller rating of 99.8%… that's not "risky".

Sub 98% and my concerns go up a bit, but going by previous reviews they don't seem too bad all.

      • Thanks, it's just that you have many users with the same issue.

        • I respectfully disagree RocketSwitch.

Nearly 1800 positives in 12 months, 8 neutrals, and 2 negatives.
Of the 2 negatives, it looks like a single disgruntled customer leaving the same feedback on two items.
Of the 8 neutrals, less than half claim long delays.

Out of 1800 sales, there's bound to be a couple of disasters with fulfillment times.

I still reckon stating they are "risky" is a bit of a stretch. I've never bought with them, but going by their reviews I'm not turned off in the slightest.

For the price in OP's deal, if you're looking for this particular TV its a no brainer imo.

Depends where you live and the courier lottery of who you get.
The first TV I bought from them took 3 weeks with Allied Express. It was the most painful experience I’ve ever had with a courier.
I recently purchased another 55” and they used Hunter Express. At least with Allied you can ring and enquire, Hunter doesn’t have a support line for consignees. I’ve got a NU8000 floating around somewhere between Sydney and Wollongong.
The store itself is quite helpful, just let down by poor courier services.

      • Thanks for that, I bet this would be my experience too, but as you said, it's your luck in the end.

      • +2

You're right with Allied Express. Courier lottery. I've had 2 deliveries by AE and I had to call on both occasions to enquire. Had to polite though as I read the customer service lady might be a little vicious.

        • +1

Yeah, right on. That's what I wanted to highlight, not necessarily the sellers fault, but I know how much of a nightmare the couriers could be, nice for a buyer to be aware of it. Could be applied to any situation for big items though.

  • +7
  • Doesn't have the best hdr capability, but does have very good input lag for gaming. At this price, it's a great deal though!

  • Give it a few weeks, will be under $1500

Have the 55" of this and my TCL 65" P4 is just as good quality if not better.

The menu system and UI is smoother and more user friendly on the Samsung

in regards to this seller, I bought the 55" NU7100 off these guys and had no issues. Quick delivery.

When we bought our last TV a couple of months back we were choosing between this one and the LG Uk7550 65 inch. Both were around $1850 at Harvey Norman at the time.

We opted for the LG because the picture looked a little better and the LG was a newer model, but we would have been happy with this TV at that price.

All that said, the day after ordering the LG TV Good Guys eBay store had 20% off dropping the price of the LG TV to $1600. So obviously cancelled the Harvey Norman order and ordered it from Good Guys ebay. Thanks Ozbargain.

    • +5

I like stories that end of Harvey Norman losing a sale. Makes me feel good to know Mr Harvey is losing just a little money than he could have gotten.

      Love from,

Disgruntled purveyor of overseas items which now have GST on them because of Harvey and his Liberal Government best buddies.

  • Listing ended.

  • I was on the fence, but did not have ebay plus. Oh well it ends anyway so will hang on to my 50" sony

  • Spewing - bought in December for 2450 with some freebies.

    Good TV but some downers:
    - EPG loads via antenna not internet so lag when scanning
    - TV makes a creaking sound when changing to a dark image and back
    - does not support ATMOS on netflix

Othewise pretty good. starts up in a flash. Direct access to where you left off on various sources.

    • Do you get the black screen issue when turning on, where the last source was HDMI and that HDMI device isn't powered on ?

      • Have not noticed - will try it. USually comes up with a ribbon netflix, terrestial, 7 plus etc
