    Almost $1000 for a graphic card…OUCH…..no thanks.

You are a little late to that bandwagon

    • We have had graphics cards over $1000 for 10 years. Taking inflation into account, until this latest nvidia release and the lack of competition, they may have actually got cheaper.

    • discussion about it here… but that was with over 1600+ card…
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/440683

(PS graphics cards have been over 1k for over, 10 years)

      • Good lord, and people actually buy them at this price!!!!

    • You mean for a second tier GPU… no thanks!

    There's promo going on https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/campaigns/rtx-triple-th…

    Maybe MSY included..?

  • Any feedback from the guys who bought this a few weeks ago?

  • i was mistaken by the title as "rtx 2080 priced at $279" and im like "give me a container of it!!!!!" LOL

  • EOFY sales are looking bright if these are the prices already.

  • Any feedback for the monitor?
Looking to start gaming at 1440p

    • That brightness figure looks a bit low. (Unless it's a scale I don't recognise - I'd expect more like 350-400 but I haven't been paying attention to what's good these days)

I have zero experience with that monitor though.

      • From the Asus specs page:
        * measuring a screen brightness of 200 nits without audio/ USB/ Card reader connection

    • I am curious too.

      Anyone got opinions on this?

No VESA mount on the monitor… I don't understand why monitor manufacturers make monitors without these…
It's obviously a cost issue, but if all their monitors included VESA mounts, the price would come down.
    VESA should be standard!

    • Thanks for pointing there is no VESA. This could be a deal breaker for me as I was hoping to replace my dual monitors with these on my Bratek stand.

    75hz

  • Does anyone know when the prices usually go live? midnight or 10am sort of thing? Is it all there stock or just 1 or 2 cards per store? Cant imagine there will be a lot of people waiting to drop $950 on a graphics card

    • Stock was "low" for a number of stores on the 6th, now the vast majority are "in stock".

Looks like they got a delivery just in time

Just picked mine up and been using it for a few hours. Pretty good so far.

Coming from an MSI Gaming GTX 970, im impressed with the quality so far.

Has a 0 rpm fan mode until 50 degrees or so. Basically the same as my 970 which i appreciate. Fan noise when gaming is excellent, potentially better than the 970. Temps are also about the same, couple of degrees cooler in furmark.

Actual performance is a nice boost for me. Havent tried overclocking yet though. Reviews are promising though.

Submitted my request for the 3x games (anthem, BF5 and metro), should get the code in 5-7 days.
