There seems to be so many comments regarding jacking here, so I thought I'd lay out the facts:

    1. There are currently two main catalogues ongoing, one expires 13/3, one expires 27/3. Both last throughout this sale.

    2. You can find the date as to when a special price expires on their Website. E.G This Nutribullet price expires on 27/3/2019 under the price tag with "As Advertised price ends 27 March 2019". This information will allow you identify whether the price will change tonight, removing doubt over "price jacking". This is different to catalogues, they run Weekly / Daily specials and the "As Advertised" dates depend on what the duration of the special is.

There is a possibility they will remove items from their eBay store, there's no denying that, but they don't price jack their eBay store above their main website, the catalogues / specials dates show this.

    • +1

The non-catalogued discounts can and will be jacked.

      • +3

The "non-catalogued" items are either at RRP or are covered under point 2 above. Both do not result in price jacking other than what you can already see prior to the sale.

        • +2

A printed catalogue typically doesn't have enough space to cover every single item that has had a reduction of some sort. The ones not printed will reset back to RRP.

The ones they can't revert to RRP will mysteriously run out of stock.

          • +1

            @lostn:

The ones not printed will reset back to RRP. The ones they can't revert to RRP will mysteriously run out of stock.

This didn't happen, as per what I said.

  • noticed the stores that show no stock via ebay + click and collect show as in stock via their website. so i would say extremely limited quantities again.

  • +1

I'm interested in Logitech M720 bluetooth mouse. Listed at $69.95 right now. Let's see if they jack up the price tomorrow

  • Any good 75" TVs?

  • +1

The Hisense 65P7 is currently $1499, that mean will be $1199.2 after discount.

    • +16

The Samsung HW-N950 is currently $1,195, that means it will be $1,359.20 after discount.

      • +1

I see what you did there ;)

      • Nope $ 956 C and C.
        I got one.

  • Any good deals?

    • there's plenty if you look at the comments… and if they stay on tomorrow.

  • +1

website seems ozbargained already. i just wanna browse in preparation!

    • Yeah, she's under heavy strain Cap'n'.

  • Looking at moto g6 plus… historically it was at $449 for a long time.. will see tomorrow what the price is going to be. I think it's worth to pull a trigger at $359.20 (20% off from $449). What do you think?

    • -1

Is that what it's worth to you? If yes, get it.

    • +1

I think i'd rather the G6 at $279.20 personally, others got lucky price matching at OfficeWorks for under $240 but no such luck for me. At least I can claim TRS at this price though.

  • Hope S10 appears for sale.

  • Question is whether the S10 will stay on their ebay store..

  • Damn it. I have 3 TV's already. I don't need another one!

    … Or do I…

  • stupid question but: can i use good guys gift cards on ebay?

    • +1

      Nope

      • +2

thanks for answering a stupid question @solidussnake

  • +2

Although not historic low price, but still a good price for those wanting a Nintendo Switch in the nearby future https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Nintendo-142979-Switch-Conso… ($367.20 after 20% off, if will still be listed).

    • yeah hence my stupid question because an extra 5% off would make it a pretty good price

    • Whats the lowest have you seen the Nintendo Switch at?

      • +1

According to a search on previous deal posts here (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/nintendo-switch) , more often it is $359.10, but you might be able to catch the rarer $339.15 at times, before eBay sellers jack up the price. actually lowest is an Amazon Prime deal for $315.

        • $315 is a sweet price :)

          • +1

@cr12330: Yea, I sort of regret not jumping on it when it was at that price. I think some people got it price matched at other shops and paid with discounted gift cards.

Although having said all those, I'm not expecting such a deal will come back any time soon or if ever. $359.10 is a good enough price to get one.

      • +1

There's also rumours of a smaller Switch to be announced soon. Might affect price of the normal one, or be a cheaper version.

  • Great- have been eyeing off the Q9FN for a while now.
Does anyone know if its an old model that is being replaced? I noticed JB HI-FI have it on clearance now and Good Guys haven't had it in stock for quite a while:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-QA65Q9FNAWXXY-65-165…

Or is there a better alternative I should be considering?

  • Sweet, got my eye on a cordless vacuum - hopefully no price jack and then I can upvote haha

  • +1

Doesn't seem to be any Huawei phones.

Edit: nvm they have a nova 3e for $399 and the nova 2.

    They've got the Samsung s8 priced at $899 :/

    • +2

Doesn't seem to be any Huawei phones

      Sure you want one?

  • +8

If they don't jack, these are my highlights:

    Kindle Paperwhite for $160

    Logitech triathlon mouse for $55

    Logitech Harmony 350 remote $43.20

    $359 for 3-pack Google Wifi or $135 for 1

    Samsung SSD type-c: $183 for 500gb or $127.20 for 250gb

    WH1000XM3 $320

    JBL Link 20 $183

Plus the Switch deal / Google home hub deals listed above.

The only thing that will be left on the GG ebay store come tomorrow will be air fryers and blow dryers, my dudes.

  • Nintendo switch will be $367.20 which is a pretty good price.

    • Its on Amazon.com.au for 367.20
      Cheers

      • Yer with the 6% cash back I picked one up from there.

  • -3

    Jacked! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-WA85N6750BV-8-5kg-To…

Was $745 yesterday (you can check Google cache of the page) and is now $829. Its $745 and $749 at BingLee/HN.

    • +4

      Same price as their website

Price on cached website is from 2nd of March and was on their catalogue which has now expired.

      • Ok my bad, it was just coincidence it went up $84 right before the sale and is now $84 more than the other major retailers.

        • Yep, that’s exactly what it is. See post from G77.

    • +1

Why is your post negged ?

      • Good question, i dont know. Maybe GoodGuys employees. :)

    • +2

Price is back to $745, they didn't jack it for this sale.

      • Yep good on TheGoodGuys for dropping the price back down, they gained my sale.

BTW no idea why people bought out the neg cannon on my original post for simply pointing out an item i was interned in buying jumped $84 in price and more than other major retailers just before the sale started.

  • Do TGG Ebay receipts show ebay anywhere on it?

    • Nope online sales, Samsung fridge offer?

  • Damn no LG b8 65" OLED…

  • Let see if they price jack the Sony WH1000XM3. Currently listed as $399 so will be $320 with 20% off.

    • -1

Bet it goes up to $499 tonight. Always does.

      • +1

Stayed at $399 (before discount). I picked up a pair.

        • Great stuff! Really thought they'd put the price up. I'm in the market for these headphones but can't justify the price at the moment. Maybe next time!

  • I am looking for a Dyson HotCool heater.
Currently shows $575. Hope it remains the same tomorrow

  • -1

    The jack has already begun.

I'm eyeing off a Sony RX100m3 camera and every other b&m store has it at $799…this includes JB hifi, teds and HN.

Yet tgg seem to have it at $849.

Mind you even with the jacked price, with the discount it is still a decent deal

    • +3

      The jack has already begun.

It has been their price for weeks.

      • -2

Still a bit rich considering their sister company has it at $50 less.

Doesn't matter anyway. Camera Store Australia has it at $779 and offering 20% off as well, so I'm getting it from there.

        • But JB also sell products at higher prices then TGG…

  • pleaase no jack on dishwasher bby

  • -1

Can we buy now & apply code tomorrow to avoid Mr Jack?

    • +2

      No

      Seller's payment instructions
      Immediate payment required

  • +1

Jack.. where are you jack??? JAAAAAAAAAAACKKKK

    • +1

      OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH JACKYY BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

    • My ears are burning…

    • Settle down bro

  • +2

I hope amazon will price match nintendo switch from tgg as i want the grey version

    • What are the chances of that happening? I saw them match BigW for the Smash Bros bundle. If they do they will have my money! I'll check Amazon at 10am before pulling this trigger.

  • -8

This sale is for them, not you.
Anything desirable has been removed or jacked up.
    Don't waste your time.

    • Not sure why you're getting down voted, they definitely have removed a lot of their more sought after items. I mean they're listing a Samsung s8 (not plus) for $899. Yes their website lists things at the same price, still outlandish prices on a few items.

  • Dang, they don't stock the Panasonic UB820

  • Hisense 55" OLED going to be $1600 with this code.

  • No Chromecast Ultra 👎

    • I saw one in the store for $99 pre 10am. I added the CC3 to my cart before and it's still in there.

  • +1

    I want a chromecast.. :)

  • No Playstation 4 pro :'(

  • Check Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 when this gets posted and it's there.

    Check again, gone.

    Gg good guys, well played.

  • +7

Getting tired of the Good Guys eBay store supposedly not having stock of items I want for click & collect from my local store. Yet when I do the same on the Good Guys website the local store has them available for click and collect. Is this their way of attracting customers to their website after getting them interested by 20% off at their eBay store i.e. another version of bait and switch.

    • EXACTLY - Fridges are plentiful on TGG website, but OUT OF STOCK (all over the country) on eBay

  • Already finding prices a bit on the high side…

  • Has anyone ever successfully price matched the 20% off instore?
