Big W - John Cena Iconic Matches DVD - $0.01

1130

I found this in the WWE DVD section at Big W Top Ryde. It was meant to be a free DVD when you purchased the WWE 2K18 game however there were multiple copies sitting with the other DVDs so I scanned it and the price came up as $0.01.
Depending on other items you purchase, it will either cost 5 cents or nothing.

    Maybe they weren't that iconic!

    • John Cena begs to differ

    • +3

      You’re right.

      Match Listing:
      WWE Championship Match
      John Cena vs. Mark Henry
Money in the Bank • July 14, 2013

      John Cena vs. Cesaro
      RAW • February 17, 2014

Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Kane vs. Roman Reigns
      Battleground • July 20, 2014

Geez that's a tough sell. I reckon over the last 30-40 years when I think classic matches the only one of Cena's that stands is vs RVD at One Night Stand 2006. Even then that was only memorable for the circumstances rather than the match itself.

        • +6

Cena vs CM Punk MITB 2011?

  • +8

It's much cheaper for Big W to sell these for 1 cent rather than putting them in the bin.

Is it any good/of any use? Do I need it? Is it worth it? I have to ask these questions. I'm sure some people will appreciate this offer so I'll vote it up.

      John cena coaster set.

I've been looking for something to hang from my fruit trees as bird scares, thanks op

  • +10

Rather than iconic matches, I'd wish they do a DVD on iconic promos. One of my fav is Scott Steiner 'maths' promo

    https://youtu.be/WFoC3TR5rzI

  • The three matches are:

    Vs Mark Henry
    Vs Cesaro
vs Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton vs Kane

    Me - "I wouldn't give 2 cent's for a WWE DVD"

Big W - "Step this way please sir"

  • +40

They could have at least put Cena's face on the cover. There's nobody on there at all

    • I'm ashamed I had to open the DVD image and look at it before it finally clicked

  • +45

Went to big W today but I didn't see it…..

    • +1

Did you go to Big W Top Ryde?

    • +2

I came here to make this joke… well done.

      • +2

Yeah I love making John Cena jokes. I post them online but no one sees it

  • Who's John Cena? Gather this is probably not for me.

    • +1

A wrestler that likes to 5 knuckle shuffle his opponents

    • Hollywood actor and memelord. I've seen him advertising Nintendo Switch too.
Apparently he is associated with wrestling in some way?

    • +2

He was in one of the worst movie's ever made, called Marine

      • +2

He changed his acting haircut after that.

    • +2

He's essentially every American stereotype and cliché condensed into a 114 kilogram, 6"1 frame.

      • is he only 6'1"? He looks way taller in films.

        • +1

Yep, action films do that to protagonists with clever cinematography and midget adversaries.

Stallone, Statham, Schwarzenegger and Willis are all under 6 foot in height. Schwarzenegger's height has famously fluctuated and been the source of much speculation throughout the years but even he is only about 5'11" (best proved by a scene in the film Stay Hungry, where he's face-to-face with a 6'1" Jeff Bridges who is noticeably taller than him.)

Dolph Lundgren is the exception and in his prime was an actual giant man.

As with pro-wrestlers and body builders, their "stats" are usually inflated either by themselves or by over-billing to hype up movies/PPVs.

          • @Gnostikos: Nah, Dolph pretended to be 6'5, but is easily shorter than David Hasselhoff, who is 6'4 and Jason Momoa, 6'4 also. The Rock also lies about his height. Says he is 6'5 but is 6'2.5. There are pictures of him with Charles Barkley and Shaq and he's quite small in comparison. The interesting one is probably Hulk Hogan who lost about 3 inches due to injuries and back surgery and carrying his mega million payout.

            • @[Deactivated]: Dolph is still somewhere over 6 foot, unlike the aforementioned action-movie stars in my previous post.

But yes, that's precisely my point, guys who earn their living as actors based solely on their physicality/tough guy image are all lying about their height.

The problem with comparing Hollywood actors in photographs is everyone wears lifts in show business. Here's a photo of Momoa with the cast of Justice League that makes him look rather average. Momoa and Hasselhoff are tall guys undoubtedly but still probably not as tall as they appear in film and photographs.

Perspective and angle in film also plays a huge part in making those guys seem gigantic. Arnold in the Terminator series looks like he would be 6'5" in real-life and yet next to Dolph Lundgren he always seemed rather small, even Dolph's head looked noticeably bigger than Arnold's.

              • +1

@Gnostikos: Of theres one thing that last pic illustrates is the tight relationship between actors and their dentists

    • I doubt you would’ve seen him before

  • +2

    Bad deal. Cheaper on YouTube

  • +1

John Cena Duh Dah Dah Daaah

  • "Let's go Cena…"

  • +16

John Cena is a world famous wrestler who has successfully transitioned into acting but don't let this man distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table

    • +1

      Well commented, sir

    • Cena still SUCKS :P

    • But as god is my witness, he was broken in half.

    • who has successfully transitioned into acting

      Let's not go overboard.

He's transitioned; by showing up to the set and reciting some lines. Successful implies widespread appeal and leading roles in critically-acclaimed films.

      • I would argue success is finding an audience who enjoys your work, enough so to have the industry want you back. He has done this.

    • Got me.

    • Ahhh I see what you did here…. Shittymorph

  • +2

Scan two at checkout and then pay cash?

    • +5

I could have but one is enough, thought I'd leave more for other Ozbargainers.

      • Incidentally, CDs/DVDs in the microwave give a great light show.

        • +2

But isn't that bad for the microwave?

          • +1

@FireRunner: Not really. I’ve done it a few times. The sparks don’t arc to the microwave body

  • +3

$0.01 coaster is a deal to me!

  • About $10 too expensive for me.

I'll go down there and take it off their hands for $9.99 given to me.

  • +15

John Cena wakes up from a coma
    John: Where am I?
    Nurse: ICU
    John: No you don’t

    • -3

He might then give the nurse an F-U ;p

  • Is this in Chinese?

    • Exclusively

Went to Big W….. Couldn't see it!

    👋👋👋🎺🎺🎺

The acting is not even worth 1 cent, this is only my 2 cents.

  • How do you pay 1 cent at the register

    • +1

If you pay by cash, it will automatically round up to $0 :)
Unless you pay by card, then u will be charged.

      • Hahahahahaha funny. So it's free basically

Would these have any value on eBay?

  • +1

Wouldn’t it be better for everyone if they just threw them in the dumpster ??

  • +2

    DVD… ?
    Wrestling… ?
    Iconic… ?

At some point you have to realise that just because something is cheap it doesn’t mean it’s a bargain.

    • I don't those 3 words go together all that well to begin with…

  • +3

Iconic matches? They are all the same. Cena got beaten down badly at the start of a match, then suddenly he found his Super Cena strength and come-back, followed by U Can't See Me, Five Knuckle Shuffle, and finally F-U for the 3 counts. Rinse and repeat.

  • +2

Is it weird that I've spent 5 minutes reading these comments, which is 5 minutes more than I would care to spend watching this crap? :)

    • +2

I’m pretty sure reading these comments was more entertaining than the DVD would have been.

  • 1c DVD case, new and sealed, with a free picture of John Cena and a disc you can use as a coaster, frisbee, bird scaring device and more! Bargain :)

    • I don't see any picture??

      • +2

Joke’s been done 3+ times, mate.

        • The only joke in wrestling is kane without a mask

    • Thank you Edward de Bono

  • +1

A DVD case for 1c? That the real bargain!

  • Is there too many wwf fans to hate on this stuff here? This truly sucks, you cant get your time back after watching it

  • undervalued

  • The real deal here is buy one (for cash) get four free

  • If only I could Afterpay this…

  • I put up a similar deal for a Forza game from Harvey Norman last year and after bring really popular at first mods took it down. I am not saying this isnt a deal, on the contrary I think it just goes to show that sometimes the mods a inconsistent with handing out their verdicts

Actually mod got me for insufficient quantity, even though i am sure they were all over the place, but they made sure they mentioned they also didnt think it was a deal on grounds of not really being 1c
