  My experience with using CheapTickets on 3 occasions is that it's more expensive due to the booking in USD (even with decent conversion rate) but with the 16-17% off sales it makes it cheaper than other websites.

  I used to use CheapTickets all the time with the discount codes but have found recently that the code is rarely valid anymore. Never book chains which I know are usually excluded.

    i agree. discounts used to apply to basically all accom. now there are so many exclusions.
    I stick with expedia with 10% off codes.

    They've only added 2 hotel chains albeit big ones to the exclusion list in the past year.

  Hotels.com is regularly on discount at 10% uncapped which makes long stay bookings waaaay cheaper than this mob. Has about the same list of major chain exclusions. Hint: If you can't find a discount code for Hotels.com, try UK Hotels.com, look here for the code and book, you can book and bill in AUD!!
