Don’t buy rtx 2080 laptops which cost $4500, buy this and a container, plug into your tb3 and you have rtx 2080 ti! Beats rtx 2080 shitless.

Not quite as far as I understand, when you actually play games versus synthetic 3D benchmarks the bandwidth restriction can actually cause the external 2080Ti to perform worse than an internal 2080 in a laptop. Looping back onto the laptop screen also causes additional input lag too, so you'd want to use an external monitor if you want an edge in multiplayer gaming.

  • I’m not associated with msy. It is defaulted. I’d suggest the ozbargain web designer to uncheck it.

  • At this rate I think I can hold off till June maybe even Navi

    • There's always someone waiting for the competition (AMD), let's hope they finally deliver.

      • Yeah haha, I'm not an AMD fan boy more Nvidia if I had to pick. But yeah I'm in no hurry and the few RTX 2080 Ti dropping down in price around 1600 I think I can wait and pray Navi offers some competition, if not hopefully there's just been a continual drop in price on the RTX cards.

Then again I did choose a Ryzen CPU in my new build (second build ever) so maybe Navi could tempt me.

    • BUt apparently they will only be mid and bottom performance range. The Radeon vii appears to be it, for a while yet.

I played Commander Keen on this video card and finished the game in 23 seconds.

Rad. What sort of gaming chair do you have?

    • You probably only need one hand to play games as well. Keep up the good work

15Mhz extra in OC mode hot damn

  • Damn that's a lot of coin for a card.

  • Meh, not worth buying a gpu considering it'd so expensive!! Seriously who got the coin to buy a gpu at 2 grand at launch? Nvidia just getting greedy and it's showing.

    • Considering the performance and the fact there is no competition the price is really where it should be.
