Senz Original Stick Umbrella - Selected Colours $20 (Was $100) + $10 Shipping @ designmode.com.au

620

Seeing the previous Blunt Umbrella deal has expired, I went to search for an alternative - this is what I found

When was the last time you found yourself fighting your umbrella? You were probably stuggling to hold your umbrella in the wind, it either turned inside out, broke, or almost poked you in the eye, leaving you soaking wet and your umbrella in the bin. This happens to all of us. An amazing 1,100,000,000 umbrellas are thrown away each year! It's the exact frustration that led to the start of senz. It's the reason why senz reinvented the traditional umbrella into an iconic design. The senz umbrella is a lot smarter: it always finds the most comfortable position in the wind, which makes it feather light to hold, and it doesn't turn inside out, even in 100 km/h storms!

The Selected Colours that are $20 (RRP $100)

Bamboo Stripes
Cotu Blue
Flurry Rain
Ikat Blue
Ikat Red
Bombay Tartan
Green Ranger

Angle your umbrellas towards the wind. Very easy to do because u can see the angle of the rain drops. This way it also covers u from the rain angling in.

My cheapo $5 has never flipped using this method.

I think the quality of this umbrella is better than most of $20 umbrella, can't go wrong give a try

      • It's still a $30 gamble on an umbrella that you "think" might be better

        • +1

I watched a few youtube videos, it seems to be pretty good, I am giving it a shot considering I got the ALDI umbrella.

    • +4

Which city do you live in? If you don't mind me asking…
I've lost 3 cheapo umbrellas to the savage Melbourne winds over the years.
I can't vouch for the value of buying a Senz angled umbrella, but in Melbourne it pays to spend a few extra dollars on an umbrella or get a good raincoat IMO.

      • I bought a $10 brella from Reject Shop, didn't last me for 3 months, the wind is just way too stron

These new umbrella designs always go over my head.

You should both be ashamed of yourself and very proud.

Still have a couple of Woodworms from deals in the past :) 'Back in the day'

    • +1

My Woodworms broken this week after not so many used.

      • -1

How the heck you broke woodworms? They're bulletproof

        • Mine went inside out literally the first time I used it.

          • +1

@F-22: Must have been really downgrade in quality.
My 5 years old+ woodworms bought from OO.com still strong

            • @OzBestDeal: Dont see any of these umbrella on sale now

              • @bibimbap: Yeah, I'm kinda missed them as well.
They used to be my go-to umbrella shop as I lost umbrellas regularly

Perfect for scooter riding, SE asian style.

    Had these previously.
They are not wide enough to protect you from rain at all. Yes they don't turn inside out in the rain but they don't keep you dry.
Would not recommend them at all.

Bought the Euroschirm trek umbrellas off ambulance nsw site and the Lewis n Clark umbrellas off Amazon to replace the senz. Very happy with them.

    • I respectfully disagree. Have been using these for years (full size models) and have found them to be brilliant in heavy rain and high wind. Just bought another two.

      • which model is full size models ?

        $20 original ?

      • Don't get me wrong, they were very study and lasted for years. The stick design was better than the folding one. We just found them not wide enough across shoulders to provide enough cover. I gave one of the folding one to my kid and it was perfecy size for school. It kept him dry as well as his school backpack because of the tail design of the umbrella. He used it for 2 years till it got "lost".
There is as a senz xl size that I wanted try but never saw it at a sale price.

        • +4

Ahh, you know what I've just realised…?

I'm an idiot. The ones I have previously had have been XL sized and I thought they were all one size.

Disagreement withdrawn, and changed to "the xl ones are good!".

Now looking to cancel order for non xl sized.

          • +1

@hammo: I have a few different sizes Of The senz and agree that only the xl is amazing. The smaller one is good for my daily commute as it covers my backpack but my arms can still get wet. Find that you risk poking someone's eye out as the back comes pretty low.

That said, they feel well made, dry quick, open and shut easy and NEVER invert in crazy winter winds.

    • Yes they don't turn inside out in the rain but they don't keep you dry.

I suppose we could never have it all. :-(

    • "Euroschirm trek umbrellas off ambulance nsw site"
link please i couldn't find this

      • Sorry I got mixed up. It was from
        https://www.paramedicshop.com.au
I got it about 4 years ago. It's not on the website now though. I'm sure I saw it advertised on their Facebook page a few months ago too.

    What’s this? Umbrellas for hipsters?

    • +1

No, I have the mini senz umbrella, got it for $60, came with 2 years warranty and on the first and a half year I claimed warranty claim and got a new replacement (bought it from somewhere else and not this store).

With this price is definitely a bargain. Thanks OP!

  • All I see from these is even less umbrella user spatial awareness and now I'll have to also dodge odd shaped umbrellas on my daily….
At least they aren't 5 foot wide golf umbrellas that people seem to think are acceptable on city streets.

  • This shape looks rather unique to me haha

  • OOS. Only left manual
