Extracting this zip file you will notice the installer and “readme” file with a license code. This is the latest version.

Make sure installed by 01/04/2019 as software's readme stated that the license key can only be registered through 25th March 2019 to 1st April 2019. It will be invalid once expired, and can't be reused after uninstall the program.
This is Not-For-Resale license. It is forbidden to use it for any business use without AOMEI's permit.

    Not sure if I need it or not, what’s the advantage in using this instead of the traditional Windows method for a normal user?

      At least when comparing Macrium Reflect to the Windows tool, the Macrium backups are a lot smaller (it intelligently ignores junk like temp files and the page file), and also allows advanced features like scheduled backups, differential backups and a better recovery environment.

      I haven't used it, but I'm sure Aomei has the same advantages.

        Macrium Reflect failed to clone a simple SSD last time I attempted. The new SSD wouldn't boot even though all the data and partitions were there. Aomei worked first go.

          Many people suggest Macrium home edition is better than Aomei. Was that Macrium Reflect free or home edition?

            @emperor: Probably the free version. It was advertised to work, just didn't in practice.

    FYI, Windows 10 only has file backup.

    AOMEI does it all (file backup, OS and drive backup). However, it will use 4 to 5x more disk storage than Macrium free for backups. But Macrium Free Edition does not have file backup. So there are pros and cons.

    Personally, I would stick with Macirum free for OS and drive backup and use Windows for file backup.

    Anyone interested in a free backup solution should look at Veeam Agent, it's free and supports Windows & Linux. Great documentation in their knowledge base and it comes with support from the vendor (no SLA on response times unlike the paid versions).

    Enterprise software > this garbage.

        Veeam B&R is a bit of overkill for most people here. It's a good option if people have multiple PCs on their network they want to backup as Veeam Agent integrates with it. Veeam Agent is a little more user friendly and better suited for personal computer backups.

          Last time I looked at Veeam Agent it only allowed a single backup job whereas AOMEI/EaseUs/etc allow as many as you like.

          Also, Veeam Agent wouldn't reliably detect the insertion of USB backup media whereas EaseUs did every time.

    Tried this once and didn't work for me.

    Use EaseUS Todo Backup instead - the free version - and it's been effortless.
