You should also be able to use Steam VR.

There's a YouTube VR app on Steam.

I think he's after the special videos

        • You know, you're probably right ;)

      • Steam VR is much better than the default portal :) thanks

        • There's a whole bunch of free Steam VR games to try - "The Lab" is a great intro with around 5 mini-games. Accounting - is good (especially if you like Rick & Morty). Rec Room is definitely worth checking out.

          • @AdrianW: Just finished downloading Rec Room, will give it a shot later.
Tried to play The Lab earlier but I couldn't turn around >__<

            • @hexedhavoc: Did you try physically turning yourself around? That'll probably be an "a ha" moment.

              • @AdrianW: Well yea, I know I can do that… just seems odd you can't fine-tune or even just change your positioning etc with the joystick :/

    Damn missed out

Here's the cached page for those who want to see what it looked like

  • Damn. Bummed I missed it I still haven't tried VR out yet. Might as well just wait it out though. Cheers for the listing op.

  • I picked delivery and paid with PayPal. I assume they are just going to refund the money?

    • So I just got an order update from JBHFI saying that my order is prepared and about to be picked up by our carrier. Looks like they are going to honour the price.

Definitely worth the extra $6 if this works ;)

Do I sell it and make a profit or keep it?

      • How about you start by giving the deal a +1?

I have been on Ozbargin many years now. I frequent it multiple times a day. I had no clue you could even do that lol.

  • Good deal, these are great for racing and flight sims. I had mine for a few months then sold them. Waiting for next gen.

Warning, if you get even the slightest bit car sick occasionally, watch out playing Skyrim VR or Fallout 4 VR!

    • Is it better than ps vr or just different platform?

        1. No idea, never used PS VR
        2. Obviously different platform (PC)
    • As long as you are getting a good frame rate SkyRim vr is fine, if frame rate low it may cause some nausea.

  • If anyone in VIC managed to pick one up and would like to sell for a minor profit feel free to PM me :)

    Delivery order shipped.

    My body is ready.

    Also shipped! Cannot believe it…

  • Fuuuuck I just missed it. I really wanted one of these. I wanted to get into Beat Saber so badly.

Anyone wanna sell it to me for 150? Lol

  • Lol you guys scored

    Total price error for sure

  • Mine's now waiting for their carrier to pick-up. :)

I already have a Vive which is setup in our games room. But, I really want to try racing games (like Project Cars) and one of these will be more suitable as I can use it in my study without need for base stations.

    damn… back to $599
good on you guys.. i hesitated and missed it!

Yesterday I had it in my hands at $99 but was scanning at $599 at ~430pm by the time I got to the front counter. I wasn’t able to get it but the guy put it on hold for me and asked that I come in tomorrow as the manager wasn’t in yesterday.

Today I went in and got it for $99.

    Very happy!

  • Mine has been marked as shipped and I have a tracking number. Looks like it is coming!

Wanted one of these for a year or so, check this site every day never expecting this and missed it. Arrrrgh.

  • Picked mine up today no issues!

  • Just a quick thanks OP for the post. Purchased one online with courier and one for pickup in store expecting either to be cancelled or 'no stock' within about 10 mins of the post going up. Today picked up from in store at 9am and was told I was lucky. Courier called up for the delivery today as well so managed to get two units by the end of the day. Before anyone asks, already looking after my neighbour with the second one as he didn't see the deal early enough.

Mine was delivered this morning. I thought Amazon 2 day delivery was good, but JB is next level. 20 hours from order to delivery. I'm impressed!

    • +2

You probably live close to the store that shipped it.

Mine is still sitting in Sydney, it'll probably be a week before it gets to WA.

      • Yep - got an update from Aus post: "Estimated delivery by Fri 5 Apr" :(

      • Yeah looks like I got lucky with it.

Shipped from a store less than 100km away and it beat Australia Posts own 2 day estimate.

Got scanned and collected by Australia Post 2 minutes after the label was generated so looks like JB rushed to get it out while Australia Post was there to collect the orders for the day.

  • If anyone scored one at $99 and wants to sell for a quick 75 bucks profit (especially if you're in Melbourne) let me know, my mate is very keen but missed out on the deal.

  • +1

Click and collect and picked up today. Thanks op….

    • Which store?

  • One of my two units has already stopped working, build quality is also in the 99$ range.

Need to find a store that has one in stock to get a replacement.
