This is my first post, so please forgive any mistakes and happy to get advice on improving the post.

So I was just browsing through the Samsung Members App and found this deal. All you have to do is get a free health check done (hardly takes 5 mins) on your Samsung phone at any Samsung store (would recommend booking an appointment to reduce wait time) and you get a free Samsung 10000mAh Fast Charge Battery Pack worth $59 RRP. This is applicable for eligible Samsung Members, so please check if it is applicable for you (possibly only AU stock Samsung phones).

I have a S8 phone, ~~so I would assume anyone with S8 or higher should automatically be eligible for the deal.~~

  Yes, they do a health check and post completion give the power bank. So you would need to carry the phones to the store on which you have the offer to claim it.

Walked in. Plugged phone in. Enabled debugging mode. 5 mins later. Asked for name and phone number. Gave powerbank and receipt. Done in under 10 mins.

On a side note. Its slightly longer then the Xiaomi 10,000mah powerbank and feels cheaper and has a slightly rough texture body.

Great find! Although my closest Samsung store, Robina QLD (which is about 40mins away) is all booked out til next Tuesday! Don't really think it is worth the drive. But thanks for Posting.

Checked South Australian stores - Marion and Tea Tree Plaza. NO time slots to book appointments for both stores.

It is 15 km away I don't want to risk driving there without an appointment and being refused service.

  I went to TTP this afternoon…no waiting.. They were very helpful.
  I had looked online - no slots available either, but they had 3 workers there.
  It's just a stall in the middle of the mall on L2. Was offered the battery pack without the health check even.

  To answer my own question, the C port is input only.
  
  So you have two A ports that are AFC aka QC2.0 and it's only active if you are charging with a single port. When both ports are in use, QC is disabled.
  
  Pretty low tech charger imo. Xiaomi with the C port is better.
  
  It is convenient to have C-input in any case. You get an A to C cable so with one cable you can use it to charge the power bank or flip it around and charge your phone.

      I'm not sure what they're exact Terms & Conditions are as they're only available in store for the staff to see, but their offer flyer says
      "Click below to make a booking or find your nearest Samsung Store."
      To me that means booking is required via the link, which also happens to direct you to their store listing.
      By the sounds of things I don't think the Parra staff would give in to walk-ins easily.

Went to the Sydney George Street store this morning. No appointment; just rocked up. Had to wait 5-10 minutes for the next available tech but the process went smoothly. At first they just gave me the powerbank without running the diagnostic. When I asked about the battery health, they sheepishly ran the diagnostic and told me my battery was fine. 2 year old S8, BTW.

    Yep! I just walked up to the Samsung store in Chadstone without a booking, showed them the offer on my phone and it took them around 5-10 minutes to do the checkup. There was no wait when I was there.
    
    They offered $200 off the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e. My S8+ is 1.5 years old and battery health was "Good" without any issues.

      Was at Chadstone Samsung at 10am expecting to meet a few OzBargainers but was only customer. Didn't have appointment and it was all v easy. They asked for ID but not proof of purchase.

  More than likely if your firmware is not Australian stock.
  I'm previously rooted but am currently running stock Australian firmware for my S8 and just picked up my battery pack without any issue.

Just got mine after walking in and showing them the offer in the Samsung app. It's a marketing stunt to get you to upgrade, they offered me $275 trade up credit for my S7 Edge with screen burn and cracked back glass. Fair deal I guess but I'd rather just stick with it and worry about upgrading when it actually dies. Health check was positive except I've done over 1100 charge cycles when the batteries are designed to do around 800 before they degrade - it's still good and now I have 10,000 mAh fast charge portable battery

Carindale QLD: Was there when it opened (no slots available with online booking). Samsung employee hooked up my phone and tried to run the diagnostic program. Stuck on the compass. Ran it again, also stuck on the compass. Rang the supervisor and got permission to give me a power bank with no completed health check. Another customer was there for a health check (Ozbargainer?), and the diagnostic program didn't work on his phone either.

Macq Centre also require bookings to be made. Asked him if there would be any stock left by the time my booking comes around in a few days and he said "There should be"… I'm not feeling too confident with that. There was one other staff member standing freely on their phone when I walked by too. Maybe that's how they know they'll be enough stock on hand to give out because they can anticipate the number via bookings. Hope so. Assuming the Sydney George St store probably have an abundance of stock to give out hence they can cater for walk-ins..
