I see this post every time a 7/11 freebie comes up. I've personally gone for every free deal, and the only time I haven't found it off the bat was the Mango Loco energy drink which I had to find another 7/11 to get (it's rarely stocked in general).
Though I'll admit, I did go for the insane haagendazs deal they had, gf and I netted it fine at like 6pm while the employees mumbled something to each other… Sent housemates like 30min later and they were mysteriously out of stock. Fridge was literally chockas at 6 though.
Dog act employees exist, but I don't think they're as common as some on this site makes out. Most of the time, they don't seem to have a clue that the freebie is on.

I was on to it quite early, and I visited at least four 7/11s and rang another one up. None of them had any.
Some have been good. Some have not.
Funnily enough, mango loco was one of the few I had no trouble finding (plenty in first store).@pennypincher98: Mango loco is my favorite, it's a bummer that I can never seem to find it. The Dare Caramel Latte's are another one that I love that are often lacking stock.
I'm guessing I've had very little trouble with these freebies as I'm always claiming them in the suburbs, not insanely high traffic 7/11's in the CBD as you see mentioned in many comments. I guess it helps that I have two within walking distance of my house also.
Parramatta corner of Church & George St has over 20 in stock when I picked up one around 5 mins back. Its slightly hidden next to the Cold Coffees.
Flinders/Elizabeth removed from fridges entirely
Success at elizabeth/Flinders lane, heaps of Berry, not many mango (one less now sorry)
Also heaps at 440 Collins (near Williams).
No Mango at perennial freebie skirters Collins/Spencer.
Just hoping that they don't remove them from the shelves ..

I got the mango. Not that I'm complaining (much), but it's mostly apple juice. I thought it would be at least as thick as cloudy apple juice but it may have felt even less thick than ol' orange and mango nectar.
Croydon Park had 12. Bexley 8. Belmore 6.
Trend is to avoid 7-11 that have very high traffic.
