SRPC93KSNE518P

There was a fair amount of interest from my last post for the Save The Ocean Samurai. StarBuy have come to the party with a deal for not only the Samurai, but the Solar Tuna variant as well. This is exclusive to OzBargain and with limited stock for each model - 25 of the SRPC93K and 30 of the SNE518P. Both are in stock and ready for express dispatch. I'm sure for any of you who have purchased from StarBuy, you will know and appreciate just how quickly they get orders out the door.

You will need to add them individually to your shopping bag and enter the coupon code to get the very special pricing. SRPC93K to bring the Samurai from $585 down to $427 and SNE518P to bring the Solar Tuna from $469 down to $359 including express shipping. I don't believe they have been available at these prices before - I have snapped up both and will have some explaining to do over the weekend…

  • How many watches does a man need? My mum used to say one!

    • +3

I hear it all too often, but what can one do?

    • which one?!?

    • +3

      One per occasion?
      One per day?

    • +1

      However many he want.

I could not sleep today for unknown reason and I have been eyeing for a deal on the Samurai Save The Ocean. This is a sign!! Bought one.. Thanks OP!

    • +2

a sign for saving the ocean, sweet dream mate 👍

  • thks grabbed the samurai …..have been hanging out for a sweet deal on a blue samurai and this does look nicer than a padi option.

now it will make the dark blue turtle i bought last week from the star buy deal look plain.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed a samurai! My first Seiko and first auto. Glad I held off grabbing it for $500~ a few months back though still got it delivered to a parcel locker to delay my wife killing me for this :')

  • Damn, that's a tight price for the solar Tuna. Good buying at that price.

  • grabbed one! thank you! lucky i woke up in early morning and saw this!

  • Great deals! Really like the SRPC93K, wish was solar. How often need service for the movement?

    • +1

At least 5 years, but not uncommon to go up to 10 years between services with the NH35/4R35 movement.

      • How do you know when it is time to service it? Start missing more sec per day? Thanks for the info.

        • +1

Yes just what you're not happy with the accuracy. A 4r35 movement is pretty cheap anyway so replacement is not a big deal if it's work out.

  • Good work OP! Now you just need to get us a deal on the new Presage Cocktail time (SRPB41J) and then I might have enough watches.

  • Great deal OP. Do you happen to know the lug width for the strap on the SRPC93K?

    • +1

      22mm

  • +2

Great deal. Thanks OP. Checked the budget… Not this time…

    • Me too.
I saw this deal at the begin, added +, checked wallet, then eventually saw Samurai until sold out.

  • Nice deal. Turtle version next please!

  • The new SOC looks better

    • +1

Looks incredible, I love it. And I preferred the previous Blue Lagoon over this one too.

  • Should I get this or get modded skx with sapphire/lumed bezel? SKX is just too iconic…

    • It looks too good. Ordered it, and that is after I bought a vintage omega last night…what are you doing with us OP…

      thanks for refreshingly good post.

  • +4

Good to see some watch deals again.

  • +1

Oh damn, nice deal! Just picked up the Tuna, thanks OP!

  • +1

Thanks OP! I picked up the Samurai. Been waiting for a great deal on this, and this was it! So good!

  • +1

Copped one Samurai too, been waiting for a good reason to get one and this was it. Thanks OP!

  • 45mm 😢way too big for me

    • Me too :( even 42 is big lolll stupid tiny wrists

      • While these both have pretty substantial sized dials, they both have pretty compact lug to lug lengths <48mm and wear more like a 40mm diver.

My wrists are 7.5" and those Solar Tuna SNE models are so compact and light, even with the relatively large dial size specs.

        • Awesome thanks for the info :)

  • +1

Ripper deal on the samurai OP! I'm holding out for the new version (great white shark, SRPD23K1) to be released in Aus. The dial looks stunning https://www.plus9time.com/blog/2019/3/21/baselworld-announce…

    • +1

Wow that looks amazing, will be quite a while for the sales to reach this low on those models though.

      • Yeah that's the issue! I was so close to pulling the trigger on this deal, but figure once the new one is released the older model should fall even further

        • Hmm… Maybe I will wait then haha, just hope I won't come to regret it, I've been looking at the Samurai for quite a while now.

    • +1

I agree the 2019 look stunning. The subtle shark fin is such a nice touch on that new wave dial.

The price on this 2018 model is too good to pass up. There won't be any more produced after this run, from what StarBuy tell me, and I'm really into the PVD bezel and crown as a subtle point of difference.

      • I prefer the steel crown, but the price!!!

    • you and me both mate

    • I like the current model better. I think the shark fin is a bit cheesy personally.

I really dig the new upgraded Sumo with sapphire and no cartoonish bezel insert. But that upgraded price is rediculous!

You can get a spdc51/53/61/63 which also have diashield coating and sapphire too.

Argh, just bought the skx007 in December .. now this comes out

  • +2

    Samurai sold out.

    Damn nice looking watch.

  • These Aragon Sports Machine watches may interest any Bowerbirds. Limited colours, quartz movement, 48cm, about AU$120 delivered.

    • Jesus those are making a statement. 48mm diameter and 16mm height!

      • They make bigger…

  • Can Starbuy please do a deal for SNE499P?
SNE518P is nice but I would think about it, however if it is SNE499P I will go ahead without thinking.

    • You missed out on the $349 special price in Feb for the PADI version.

      • Yes what a shame, I was oversea back then. >_<

  • +2

All gone folks. Thanks for the upvotes. For everybody that picked up a watch, I look forward to seeing some on wrist photos at the end of the week.
