[Hack] Double BBQ Bacon Stacker $5.50 (Originally $7.00) @ Hungry Jacks

770

So my favourite burger at HJ is the double bbq bacon stacker but it’s 7 dollars and I don’t like paying that much. So I found a hack to get it for $5.50

Firstly, go onto the app and go to beef burgers then cheesy cheeseburger (originally $2) then go to customize then remove mayo, pickles and cheese sauce then go to add on and add 1 beef pattie, 1 slice of cheese, 1 piece of bacon and bbq sauce.

Then it will be $5.50 and you would have saved $1.50. I will do this every time I go to HJ

  • Hahaha yeah you can get the normal cheeseburger for cheaper too using this hack!

The difference being squirty cheese vs slice cheese 🤔

      • +4

Above it says to remove the cheese sauce and add a slice.

I’ve had the cheesy cheeseburger with the cheese sauce, it doesn’t really taste like cheese more like a mayo mixed with mustard sort of thing

  • +14

Haha you can actually customise a burger to have 8 x beef patties. Have to try that one time.

    • +7

Now this is something that I'd try.

Edit: wow beef patties are expensive to add ($1.60 for cheeseburger, $2.20 or so for whopper)

I find it funny how you can get a whole burger for 40c more than a patty.

Used to order 2 quadstackers and combine back in the day. Looks like this will be the new way.

Back in the younger days, a few drinks at a boring bar often gave birth to ordering themed burgers. My favourite was the "Subaru Racing Team" burger - due to the 555 branding on the cars at the time. Cheeseburger with 5 patties, 5 slices of cheese, 5 pieces of bacon.

I think there needs to be a new "hack" category added to Ozbargain.

The burgers are better at Hungry Hacks

    ?

2 Bacon Deluxe is just 8.25 and comes down to 4.12 each, and without all the hassle.

    • But you need 2…

      • +3

        Everyone needs 2

        • This burger isn’t the bacon deluxe, it’s the double bbq bacon stacker, it’s not that popular but it’s my favourite HJ Burger

    • seems like it's gonna be 8.45 soon according to this!

What's the chance they actually get it right.

    • +9

Like the morons at maccas, when I remove ONE pattie from a TWO pattie burger they remove both and only deduct the cost of one. When you complain they tell you, but it says 'Remove meat'… either all or nothing with maccas. I hope HJ have more intelligent staff

      • +9

to be honest if it says 'remove meat', what would you expect them to do? sure their system is flawed, but it's not the staff being dumb in that case.

        • -8

Look at the price I paid… pretty easy to work out. I haven't done it in such a while since I always got short changed (also the case with adding patties) so I can't quite remember what it said.

          • +11

@kronicmacstigator: The blokes in the kitchen wouldn’t see the price you pay.

In saying that, if it only one remove meat patty once (in example, a Big Mac) they should be able to read it as only remove one patty. Not gonna defend that.

          • +4

            @kronicmacstigator: You seem rude.

I feel sorry for people having to interact with you.

            • -6

@nikoris: I just don't tolerate idiots! Don't want to interact with me, your choice. I wouldn't want to interact with you either because you seem like an idiot

@kronicmacstigator: Thank you for proving me right.
I'm sorry that your family didn't teach you manners

          • +9

@kronicmacstigator: Suggest you contact the burger ombudsman

        • +3

It does show up differently when you remove one meat patty versus both. If you take one off, it shows up as "- 10:1 Beef Patty", but if you take both off, it shows up as "NO 10:1 Beef Patty". Although, more often than not, kitchen staff will remove both irrespective.

I have ordered the double spicy mcchicken with one of the parties off a few times and they have always gotten it right.

        • +1

I have ordered the double spicy mcchicken with one of the parties off

That's because hosting one party is much easier than two.

  • +14

Then it will be $5.50 and you would of saved $1.50.

    Would have*

    • Thanks for that, I fixed it.

  • 5.50 for a 4 incher? No thanks

    • That's 4 inches wide, not long ;)

      • Its a round bun. The width and length are the same

      • We call it 4 inch dilated

  • I keep giving HJs another chance every 6 months or so but sadly get burnt every time. I see the queue at McDonald’s and think to myself I’ll get through HJs faster, idiot move. Should have waited in line across the road.

I swear today was the last straw, or at least I hope so.

    • +6

HJs are always slower but actually have taste in their food (at least for those that haven't gone to that crappy microwave undercooking/still cold when served).

    • Probably was the last straw with the bans coming in.

    • If you make the same mistake of going the same HJ's every 6 months then …

  • +1

Simple cheap good hack like this is fine and ok, but the other dude with he mc Donald’s hack with so much idiotic steps and insisted was a bargain is just stupid.
