First post so please be gentle if this is a useless post! I am not affiliated with Telstra in any way. Just thought I'd share.

New rewards program from Telstra offered to new and existing Telstra customers.

Join before 30 June to score bonus points. 1000 points for members with less than 5 years continuous tenure with Telstra, 10000 for members with more than 5 years continuous tenure with Telstra. Link to bonus points conditions.

Earn points (from May 14): Earn 10 points per dollar on every bill or recharge and soon you’ll be able to redeem your points towards must-have devices, accessories and more.

FAQ

Anyone over 18 with an active personal (consumer) Telstra service who has a Telstra ID can join the program.

If you don't already have one, it's easy to register your Telstra ID. Please allow up to 24 hours for your Telstra ID to be activated before you can join Telstra Plus.

If you are not the account holder or full authority you will need to ensure the account holder or full authority representative joins first.
The current Telstra Plus program has been designed for personal (consumer) customers, however we may launch a Telstra Plus program for our valued business customers in the future.

Coming soon we will launch a Telstra Plus rewards store where you can use your points towards redeeming devices or accessories.

Telstra Thanks benefits, such as discounted movie tickets, discounted sport tickets and pre-sale concert tickets, will be moving to Telstra Plus soon.

Thanks to pennypincher, speculate that Google Home Mini Speaker = ~14400 points.

      • It would be foolish not to read that stuff.

  • for members with more than 5 years continuous tenure

Their systems are such a disaster I can almost guarantee they can’t accurately measure this.

I’ve had plan changes, recontracts, prepaid to post-paid moves, ADSL on and off, you name it; definite continuous tenure for 5 years but no single continuous product.

    • I believe it count based on the billings not which contract you are on during the past 5 years
as long as you got bills (and pay your bills) with the same 12 digit Telstra Customer Number (continuously)
you should be qualified for the 10000 points bonus

      • If they just look at how old the 12 digit account is then that is accurate and fair. I still don’t trust they can accurately figure out the “continuously” part though.

  • I’ve read through the FAQ, but I’m still unsure. Does anyone know, can I consolidate a family members points with mine if they have a separate TelstraID, or would I have to do a transfer of ownership of their account to me in order for them to come under the same TelstraID?

  • Has anyone figured out how to add other family members to your account? I presume if they just sign up with their Telstra ID then that creates a new account only for them?

    • I think you just goto Account Settings and Add Accounts.

It doesn't matter who's name its under either. My mum's account is in my Telstra ID as well.

  • "Sorry something went wrong" is account based on their end -_- Tried for 3 days now. MyAccount works just fine.
Something wrong with our accounts gents…

After 40min on livechat, being transferred to the email team, they tell me Plus does not have a livechat rep, give them a call. Then he gave me a wrong number. Over it

  • If these mofos don't start offering Plans including devices with even remotely realistic prices and fix our NBN which resets itself between 4-11 times per day, I will continue to lose my shit and throw TIO Complaints at them and they'll continue to pay my bills.

  • So if i join can i still Claim Tickets at reduced prices for now ?

    • +1

      Yes

  • Any advantage of joining earlier? Or join just before 30 June to try to max out tenure

So hypothetically if a customer was currently with Telstra for 4.9 years he/she should wait until next month to join? Or doesn't make any difference

  • todays the day. Anyone have bonus points appear?

    • Yep; got 10 000 bonus points.

What can you do with these points?

      • Nice I didn’t get any, but I only signed up a couple of data ago. I think the program starts on 1 July, and by then they will have phased out Telstra thanks. I think we find out 1 July.

      • 1000 here only….

        • Have you been with Telstra for over five years?

        • +1

Join yesterday with an expired prepaid numbers and got 10k points today. I never recharge a prepaid numbers and only port numbers around.

      • Nice I got 10,000 too. But from what I see I only signed up in 2015, just under 4 years.

    • We have been with telstra for years. Just checked account and it shows 10,000 points and Silver membership.
Would like to know when Kayo will be included in the benefits.

  • +1

Seems like Silver and Gold Members get Kayo for Free, as seen Here :)

    Kayo, on us (coming soon)

I wonder when "soon" is tho.

My current $2.50 subscription runs out next week, lucky I have another account I can use for an additional two months

  • +4

Can't see myself ever getting out of the "Member" tier.

    • +1

Same here, my monthly spend is $118 with 2 services and unlikely to change.

Just $7 p/m short of getting anything useful out of this.

    Telstra TV3
    40,000 points + $115
    or 0 points and $9/month ($216 over 24 months).

So $40 equals $1 discount. Seriously?

Yay, only need to spend $1300 more to get a free Google Home Mini (which at $59/month will take me 22 months) 😐

    • +1

I’m hoping event movie tickets are decent value for me 10000 points

  • Surprised to see that Telstra Plus points were added for activating my Boost prepaid kit!

    • How did that happen?

  • +1

Amazing! Haven't paid for any Telstra service in years, still received 10k points on 2 old accounts.
2 free Google Home Mini on their way👍

    • 2 Delivered👍
