I know you have previously denied any association with MobileCiti. But damn, the amount of business you attract for them is huge, and they really should be rewarding you for your effort.

    Thanks again!

Finding/negotiating/sharing deals and the satisfaction in knowing I've helped someone is more than sufficient reward :)

    • +4

This site should be renamed after you - tightarse.com.au

      • +11

That might lead to disappointment for those going to tightarse.com.au for non-bargain related purposes.

      • Hi Ahuang I am looking at Samsung s9 plus $929, is it locked with Telstra? I noticed there is a word "tel" "vf" "opt" beside each phone. thanks

        • Hi jowu15,

The S9+ network branded versions (Telstra, Vodafone, Optus) means there may be a bootup logo and a few preinstalled network apps, however all the S9+ are unlocked and will work with all network sims. Thanks

          • @lyl: and all future OS updates will be at the Telco update cycle.

AirPods good deal $34 off Apple price for New product.

    • Grabbed one for $223. Managed to get past all the 502 errors :)

      • I can’t find the airpods, you have a link?

      • I have no problem with the airpods, only the phones, which I after.

      • 223 for airpods.

        Smh.

        • There are many manufacturers out there with headphones much more expensive. Calm down.

@[Deactivated]: And they have like ten times better sound.

            I bought mine for 350.

But not…. Airpods. Geez. Put some class in your life people and don't buy whatever overpriced iProduct they promote to you.

            • +2

@nikoris: Relax, I use AKG’s and picked up the Sony XM3’s in the recent deals. Yes they are good but no I am not going running with them. AirPods are convenient and sound good. Not exceptional, but good. Well price for what’s on offer. And I didn’t buy them because I am a sheep like your kind with the superiority complex would assume.

Trying to spend near 4k cant get through to checkout, o'well.

    • Sorry to hear you're having issues. Site should hopefully be back to normal soon. See rep comment here.

  • Govt employees allowed to use Huawei phones?

    • Prob not most defence force. You would have to check first

    • Sure just don’t put them anywhere near your employer’s network or data.

      • +1

If you're putting an unsecured (read, not locked down) phone on a secured network then you're doing something wrong - not matter what manufacturer.

If your conversation is so secure that you have to worry about evesdropping then perhaps you shouldn't be doing it over an unsecured phone.

Everything in my cart has been price jacked back to full retail, AirPods, Xs max and 12.9 iPad pro.
    Tossers.
Id say that's why the site was down, price jacking.

    • +2

No prices have changed. What may have happened is that the code didn't apply the discount due to the issue they're having with the site. You're a bit quick to say they've jacked prices, when they've done no such thing. Relax, read what the rep has said, and try again once they've sorted the issue with AWS. Don't jump to conclusions.

      • +5

Yes they did AirPods were $9 below retail, IPad pro 12.9 was $70 below and the Max too. I know i i checked apple prices before and had them in my cart. when i could get through they had changed to full retail.

Ok my apologies they are to back original, something weird going on.

          Hi Bashster

          Sorry for experiance siteoutage issues

  • What's the difference between the 2 P30 Pros Auroras listed?

  • +3

As Tuco on breaking bad said

    Tight, tight, tight

  • Does anyone know how preorders work with 28 degrees Price protection?
Planning to get the P30 Pro preorder for that maaddd Sonos One.
Anyone with past experience in Price protection for preorders through MobileCiti?

    • +1

If there is any indication of a freebie (ie Sonos One) on your receipt, 28 Degrees may not honour a payout.

      • +1

They never ask for the receipt though. So it'll be fine.

  • +1

Thanks tight-arse - got an iphone xS!

  • Hi TA,
The code "ARSELESS-10" is not listed in Cashrewards site", does 2% cashback still apply?

    • +1

      No, it won't be counted.

    • No, unfortunately no cashback with this code. Sorry.

  • Hi guys

May I ask if anyone know the answer to this?

Looking to buy an Iphone XR for the wife for work. We are travelling oversea in 2 weeks so will be able to claim TRS. My question is can she still bring the phone back to Australia after our holiday to use for work and also can she claim tax deductibles (30% of the phone value) come this June when she does her tax return? (given that we already claim TRS back when travelling oversea). Or is it better not to claim TRS so that she can claim tax deductible safely without the ATO questioning?

    Many thanks

    • Also if you buy an Iphone from Mobileciti and there is some problem with your phone later on, can you bring it to Apple store to get it fixed? Or will you have to deal with Mobileciti directly? Thanks

      • I would imagine so given the process they take to process a TRS claim. Though to be on the safe side, I would pick one with the most savings. Assuming they are an authorised seller of apple products, it should be fine to take it to the apple store. Do keep in mind that they charge ridiculous prices (and sometimes dodgy practices) and that you're better off going to third party of even DIY it.

        • thanks for the reply. High prices I can see at apple store but dodgy practices? what do you mean by that?

  • Is P30 pro on the list? If so can you get the bonus with it?

  • +1

Deciding between P30 with Sonos speaker for $988 or S10 for $944 if it comes back.

    • i think P30 for 988 less 200 for the speaker on Gumtree is a great deal.
For me anyway because also claiming TRS in May & putting phone through as work expense

      • Yeah but with Huawei you don't go for the second best only the best

        • Yes currently researching P30 vs P30 Pro final cost to me is going to be $228 or $437 for the Pro

Mind you this is on my tax bracket & assuming I get $230 for the Sonos
(and a cheeky double dip of the GST via TRS) :P

          • @ChatCPT: how do u get 988-230 down to 228 with tax bracket?

  • Awesome. Bought an S9 from here, 898 for the unbranded 256 GB model. Happy with that

  • +1

Thanks OP! Picked up a P30.

  • Thank tightarse, I grabbed a P30!

Just out of curiousity what colour P30 did you guys who also bought one?

I didn't really love either of them TBH :-/

    • Question, did you receive a confirmation email for the purchase? I just received payment receipt.

      Bought the breathing crystal.

      • I paid by paypal and received two emails. One paypal receipt the 2nd was a mobileciti email order confirmation. (so only one email from mobileciti)

Yup I went with the crystal also :)

        • Hmmm, I only got a payment receipt email, but no confirmation email.

I can see in my account the status of the order is on Back Order… Not sure what to do there.

BTW, great choice on the colour.

Absolutely perfect timing. My LG G5 was giving me grief this week so it was time for a replacement - a Nokia 8.1 is on it's way!
    Thanks Tightarse!
