A $12.37 delivery and SIM fee is charged

Ouch… To send a sim card?

    • +4

I think it's best to put that in bold OP. Note: $12.37 for delivery and SIM fee charge

      • Looking at 5GB 12mth plan and the
minimum monthly recurring charge is $13.41 and not $12.50 so the setup fee is unavoidable for existing clients it seems.

Boost Mobile does $150 for 12 months with 80gb of data which is $12.50 per month.

Averages 6.66GB per month and as its annual effectively rolls over if unused. Also unlimited calls and SMS and unlimited international to 15 countries etc etc, all on Telstra network.

Not affiliated just changed ours over to them and makes this deal look a tad ordinary. Sim is $2 from Coles.

    • Was on the Telstra network before switching to Floptus. We have 3 x phones on an ancient $30 per month Ozbargain deal with 30GB data (90GB shared pool), 300 international minutes and data free Spotify streaming.

Have never considered Boost. How are you finding them? Is the network stable and speeds consistent? Drop outs and Black spots with Optus - looking for an alternative. Any thoughts are appreciated, thank you!

      • I've been really happy so far. At least as good as Optus other than a bit dicey phone quality during heavy storms (though from memory optus was the same). I would say better overall than what we had on Optus but only coming up to our first month with them.

Just be careful when you switch over, I was on ALDI pre Boost (optus pre this) and called to be switched over only to be told it would be 4 hours to 24 hours until the switch would occur. I was on the phone when 4 minutes after the switch request they switched me on a weekend day… Had to drive home to get the SIM…

still Boost much better - $150 for 12 months and 80gb data -> $12.50/ month and 6.67gb data

    • +2

plus boost is on the retail telstra network!

edit: on boost, apple music data streaming is free.

  • does it iwatch?

    • idont know.

this looks an advertisement not really a bargain

A bit rich charging for delivery and SIM.

    No deal.

  • 1 month contract, 2.5gb data $12.50 + $20 voucher is not a bad deal lol

  • +2

Rep, will existing customers be billed at the lower price if we are currently paying $14.95 on the 2.5gb month to month plan?

If not, can existing customers switch to the new plan, use same sim card and avoid the $12.37 sim fee?

Is this a late April Fools joke?

In what way is this even remotely competitive to Boost? Boost has more data and better network.

Other providers are going to have to massively step up their game to be competitive in this new environment.

Rep, I suggest you’re going to have to halve your prices to stay in business.

With Boost there is no need to look at this. Kogan if you're interested in getting onto the Optus network.

    • +2

I thought Kogan was on Fodavone?

      • Oops my bad. Better cancel my neg!!

  • Thanks jeenee love your user portal and all you stand for morally.

    Question:
If i have been with you more than 12 months, do i qualify for the cheaper rates without lock in?

You used to do this with 'bump ups'

  • Jeenee is great.
