Haha you clearly know what we like!

I don't know what to do now since I can't comment 'No NFC or Band 28' on a Chinese phone post.

Mediatek processor, and lack of community support. Much better off going with a device that will actually receive support further down the line

MediaTek processor but 4x Cortex A73s…Hmm, sounds promising.

    Mali-G72 MP3…nevermind.

Go on… why is that bad

Or is it a whoosh moment

For some reason I missed the fact that the phone's only $312 (probably cause I was browsing at 2AM).

The GPU is not bad. It's somewhere between Adreno 509 found in SD636 (Redmi Note 5 Pro) and Adreno 512 found in SD660 (Nokia 7 Plus) but may be slightly worse due to poor optimisation.

Is this worth the extra money over the regular UMIDIGI F1? I bought one a couple of weeks from this deal- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/447060 (got an extra 20% cashback from the shopback deal).

    Battery 5150mAHh

Damn I should've waited to buy this, went for the sharp S3 instead. Probably too late to cancel now 😞

Still waiting for my UMIDIGI F1 to arrive. Got it for $212 after cash back. I wonder if the better camera would be worth the 50% increase in price

The GM1 is not a real 48MP sensor. The IMX586 is.

UMIDIGI S3 pro has that sensor and a better but then it is another $100 more……

Hi guys, quick question if anyone know any sub $500 phone is dual sim + microsd card slot instead of hybrid sim? Was checking Umidigi, xiaomi, oneplus..couldnt find any. Or i could have missed that particular model. Thanks

My bad, UMIDIGI S3 pro has hybrid slot

      Xiaomi Mi 2 Lite has a 3 slot drawer… 2 sims & 1 micro sd.

Yep, the Mi 2 Lite as well as the Moto E5/G5/G5+/G6 Play/G6/G6+/G7 ( no G7 Play for Australia and the G7+ only has hybrid dual sim slot ). There are more but this is what I remember now.

Damn, other than the Mediatek chip this phone is pretty solid. Wish it had a Snapdragon chip though.

This phone appears to be on Aliexpress for 200USD flat. Is there any difference?

Ordered the Umidigi S3 Pro from Aliexpress over the F1 play during the anniversary sale and cash back ($350ish). Happy to pay a little more for more storage, slightly faster CPU and the IMX586 48 MP Sony sensor.

FYI - Unrelated to this particular phone.

Umidigi have had their own official store on Amazon US for ages and are preparing an Amazon AU store.

Currently only has placeholder pricing and no local stock but it might be worth keeping an eye on for those looking for a bit more peace of mind regarding delivery/warranty. Assuming you don't urgently need one.
