      For some reason I missed the fact that the phone's only $312 (probably cause I was browsing at 2AM).

      The GPU is not bad. It's somewhere between Adreno 509 found in SD636 (Redmi Note 5 Pro) and Adreno 512 found in SD660 (Nokia 7 Plus) but may be slightly worse due to poor optimisation.

    The GM1 is not a real 48MP sensor. The IMX586 is.

    UMIDIGI S3 pro has that sensor and a better but then it is another $100 more……

      Yep, the Mi 2 Lite as well as the Moto E5/G5/G5+/G6 Play/G6/G6+/G7 ( no G7 Play for Australia and the G7+ only has hybrid dual sim slot ). There are more but this is what I remember now.

  Ordered the Umidigi S3 Pro from Aliexpress over the F1 play during the anniversary sale and cash back ($350ish). Happy to pay a little more for more storage, slightly faster CPU and the IMX586 48 MP Sony sensor.

  FYI - Unrelated to this particular phone.

  Umidigi have had their own official store on Amazon US for ages and are preparing an Amazon AU store.

  Currently only has placeholder pricing and no local stock but it might be worth keeping an eye on for those looking for a bit more peace of mind regarding delivery/warranty. Assuming you don't urgently need one.
