  Most people use agoda as they usually have the best rate. Can you give us an example date and hotel and compare it with agoda so we know how your rate compares? Agoda also can earn points. Please show us the rate in aud.

  I tried one hotel - Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington for this coming weekend.

  The first page of the site showed by a price for US$286 - clicked on book and then the price became US$328 plus another $42 in taxes for a total of US$370 = AU$ 520 at today rates.

  Same hotel and room with same dates and cancellation policy, I booked for AU$326 on hotels.com.

  My initial views are the pricing is confusing and does not conform to Australian laws for providing inclusive pricing.

  I also gave this a go last year. Found it very hard to search and compare. Pricing in USD without any taxes makes it really confusing and hard to gauge the actual total cost. 9/10 was cheaper to use Agoda etc, even if I went down the price beat path, was too complex as the prices were in USD.
  Happy to be proven wrong and use this site.

      Yes then go to Club 1 and request a price beat. The way to use it is to search on hotels combined/off hotels find your hotel at best price using coupons on the offhotels.com coupons tab etc then compare with Club 1 and if they are more request price beat. simples :)

      FYI there min price beat is $10USD a night (more for 4 and 5 star hotels) so around $14AUD a night less than your best price elsewhere.

  Can be a bit confusing but if you're committed to doing a bit of digging can find some good deals. Got a shockingly good price on the Ritz Carlton Maui earlier this year — around 50% of what it was on any other site.
