3 to 4 nuts per day is max you should be eating.

Apparently they are incredibly high in selenium.

        • (68-91 mcg per nut), recommended no more than 400mcg daily for adults.

Getting too much selenium over time can cause the following:

          Garlic breath
          Nausea
          Diarrhea
          Skin rashes
          Irritability
          Metallic taste in the mouth
          Brittle hair or nails
          Loss of hair or nails
          Discolored teeth
          Nervous system problems

  • +4

We need 40 people to put their hand up for 500g each

  • don't really like brazil nuts

  • Other than by way of Laz167 above, little mention of the fun facts beyond the Selenium issue.

Beyond something from backyard vegetable patch in Fukushima (or a three-eyed fish from Lake Springfield), Brazil Nuts are the most radioactive food you will ever eat. 1000x most other food, handful in pocket will reputedly trigger radiation alarms in a nuclear facility.
If nothing else, some fun trivia to know! :)

  • They are $22/kg at Aldi. Come in a 400g pack I believe.

Don't eat them too high in fat, they are 66 grams of fat per 100g almost as bad as butter 80grams.

    • Fat from nuts is actually quite healthy. It's animal fats you should generally avoid. Of course, this still contains a lot of energy, so if you go… nuts… eating these, prepare for health problems.

    • How much protein you getting in your butter?

  • You better be able to finish before November

  • 20KG?

  • ahh shucks. I was in the market for 21 kilos. Guess I will have to pass.

    • It's for a church, honey. NEXT!!!
