[Switch] The Way Remastered - $1.60 (Was $23.99) @ Nintendo eShop

1460

Pretty good puzzle platformer game. Unfortunately got review-bombed on release due to some game-breaking bugs which have since been patched out.

A few of my friends and I bought the game when it went down to $1.59 a few months ago and this is definitely worth the low price. 6-10 hours worth of gameplay.

      Because it's a deal now.

If we waiting to post deals until they are at or cheaper than the previous cheapest price, OzB will be very desolate in terms of deals.

I also got it when it was $1.59, you get about $10 worth of value, good game.

Grabbed this the last time it was on sale for a couple of bucks not expecting much, but it was (haven't finished it yet) surprisingly good if you were a fan of these kinds of games from the 90's.

Grabbed it, used my Gold Point balance on it, bringing it down under $1. Thanks OP!

  • Will Grab this one. Thanks OP. Quick question: While I found I can browse this game and purchase it following the link posted here, I can't find any links on the page to the title directory. Is there a way to browse other titles?

    • There's no search AFAIK, you have to use tricks to find the URL

Try the website "Deku Deals". That's where I got this link. Their website seems to automatically update with any new eshop sales and provide the link.

    1c inflation! :P (still a great deal!)

Heh, I’ve been waiting for a game called Qbik to go on 80% off sale again ($1.50). But the last four times it’s gone on sale, they have put it at 79% off ($1.57) instead of 80% off, for some dumb reason. I know, it’s only 7c…it doesn’t really matter and I should just buy it. But it just really annoys me that they put it at 79% off, and I refuse to buy it at such a dumb discount! aha :)

  • The rating in the estore is MA for strong violence. Is that a mistake? I was going to get it for my ten year old son. Thanks to anyone who has played it and can let me know.

There are themes of a loved one's passing and you shoot some stuff with a laser gun, but I never felt like it was all that bad. There's one scene where you SPOILER electrocute a large animal, but it's all pixel art so none of it feels lifelike imo.

      • Thanks! Bought it.

    I don't understand "platformer".
Is it a new word describing pixelated graphics?

Great game that really goes in unexpected places. Some frustrating platforming in one part. Bargain at this price.

    • Just finished it; great game overall, but controls felt a little.. sluggish/muted.

Some of the platforming is frustrating, particularly due to how it auto-ledge-climbs when you want to only go a small distance.
I found i needed to go into a small join where two ledges met, and to get down safely i had to crawl, because running right auto-engaged the cliff.

Game has a decent story though. I'd give it 4.5/5 stars

  • Thanks OP👍

  • thats a lot of % off nice

  • Do you know da way?

  • $0 with gold point discount. Thanks op!

    • Let us know your thoughts on the gameplay!

      • Still early on but feels very much like flashback if you feel like a road down nostalgia lane and enjoy that type of game you might enjoy it, seems ok for a casual platformer
