    More expensive than my PC

It's 3x the price of my current one. As expensive as the one I'm planning on building later this year, lol

I came for the 'I can't believe $xxxx is a bargain for a video card' and opposing comments. I am very disappointed.

    • If it makes you feel better, I think it's crazy this is a deal :)

      • Thank you.

  • High-yield graphics card.

This is a Windforce OC model and not Gaming OC model. Gaming OC is usually better built than Windforce OC even if they looks almost identical at a glance. Previously the Gaming line was called Gaming G1 but Gigabyte ditched the G1 as top tier and changed to Aorus.

    • Windforce used to be top tier once upon a time, wonder when they'll make a new brand and drop Aorus down a notch as is their tradition.

  • Probably worth waiting till end of May at this point to see what AMD has to say if anything at computex. I'm lucky a couple of mates stopped playing games because of Apex becoming so boring or else I would have bought a Ti by now.

Doubt anything drastic will change price wise for the 2080t. The chance OF AMD releasing a high end 2080ti competitor this year is virtually zero, Navi in 2019 is going to firmly mid range

      • Yeah more then likely, guess it depends how desperate people are for a 2080Ti right now. Been a few models around the $1500 mark now past few weeks

  • Be careful because the Gigabyte RTX cards CAN have the following issues:

    https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/rtx-series-low-fan-speed-r…

I bought a Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti Windforce and it had the revving fan problem, fixed by creating a custom fan curve.

The card also run quite hot compared to older 10 series cards so you are more likely to need decent case airflow etc if not using custom water cooling loop.
