Excellent clipper, best i've used. Good Price.

  • Own this. Good shaver. Works very well when wet (in the shower), not so much when using it dry.

Never had an issue using it dry, best i have ever used

I think mine probably needs a good clean and oil, but I'm too lazy. Runs much better when under water in the shower.

        • Yeah an oil can make a real difference, its the same with all of them.A bit of maintenance is worth the effort.

    • Is it shower proof?

      • +1

        yes: Showerproof - fully washable

        • For real, you actually use it under the shower?
I thought it was only washable (blade) unless perhaps I have an older model.

  • Ahhh nuts! I paid $63 on yesterdays deal with Value Village's ebay store.

Still using my classic style Remington clipper which I bought for ~$25 12 years ago - never needs oiling, used every ~5 weeks and still going strong!

  • I also agree, best head shaver ive had

  • Find this shaver to be rubbish if you have dense/coarse hair.

Doesnt have enough grunt and always seems to snag/pinch when i use it.

  • Great shaver, have the same one and never had an issue when powering through thick hair

  • +1

all gone I think - shame as a great deal

  • Grabbed one of these recently for shaving my head, works great plus it's easy to clean.

    sold out?

    • yeah looks like for now 30 sold since posting, keep watch if they restock

  • Great deal. I ordered this on Sunday from Myer eBay and paid $63+

  • I use this clipper almost once a week and its awesome.

Only Had to order replacement "guide comb" due to the one i use frequently breaking recently after maybe 2 years of use - which is great.

I wish they would release a newer version with small improvements in battery life and better combs.

    • Yeah, I have the same issue with 2mm comb. Where did you order the replacement and how much did it cost?

1.5mm part you require is the SP-HC4250AU-1.5

        @ $5.00 plus $7.50 postage – total due $12.50

        I ordered 2 of the 1.5mm

        guessing 2mm would be Part # SP-HC4250AU-2

They only do phone orders i think

        • Thanks!

      • +2

if you call remington likely they would send you one for free

      • Haha literally the same here, 2mm comb snapped a bit and falls off easy

  • I would have totally jumped on this if I didn't get really good at clipping my own hair using the more traditional style clippers.

    aww all gone :(

  • have one of these and it works well
for this price i'd buy a spare so i have another if/when it breaks
    no stock though :/

  • +1

    Got one.thanks

There is a Chineese clone of this trimmer, google "JINDING HJ2018"
I wonder if its head/combs/charger are compatible with Remington. It may be worth getting it just for spare parts :)

  • +1

    Back in stock.

    • and already gone :/
