Kobo Clara HD eReader $138 + Delivery @ Harvey Norman (Online Only)

180

For me, adding delivery cost($7.5) it is a little bit pricier than the previous Myer@ebay deal.
But, I bought the Myer@ebay deal on May-1, still not shipped yet. Maybe HN has better service?

Not sure expiring date though.

See also the previous (now expired) HN deal.

I had a friendly staff member at JB HiFi Galleries (NSW) price match this in store for me last time this deal was active. Worth an ask.

JB Rundle Mall price matched this for me tofay. Tried Myer first, best they could do was $159.

    • Yea just picked one from JB for $138

      • Did they tag on the shipping cost of $7.5 to the price match? Just wondering as JB Gepps Cross charged me $145.50 to include the shipping costs.

        • My didn't, just paid $138

        • $138 here too

        • Also got JB to match the $138

      • darn it. should have done that. My order was just shipped. Won't get it until next Monday and I paid more:(

Is it easy to transfer pdf and other e-book files from a computer? Do we have to use the included usb cable, or can we load ebooks by email or wifi?

    • +3

I use a program called Calibre. With that, all supported file types, including pdf, are very easy to transfer with any micro USB cable. I'm not sure about wifi or email, never looked in to it.

    • +1

I load via USB, any micro USB that can transfer data will work. You can drag and drop, or you can use Calibre, the Kobo software or Adobe Digital Editions.

Wifi loading works for titles bought from the Kobo store or via Overdrive (if you reserve books from your library, when you can borrow them they will appear on your device).

yes its very easy like a usb. i do not think kobo supports emails like the kindle but there is a wifi store.

  • Do these support overdrive library

    • Sure do.

    • +1

Yes they do after firmware update. Am using a clara HD currently to borrow books from council library

      • Oh yeah, forgot that the firmware update was necessary for Overdrive functionality.

These are legit, being able to borrow and read library books from bed is some real future shit.

Get calibre and all the good plug ins and this will be a mad investment.
