  • You can also use the coupon code NF2MV$95K0W5WR on selected projectors to drop 15% off. Eg if you have too much money you can order the top of the range Dell 7609WU Projector worth $4999 and that code drops $750 off the price, down to $4250 :)

    • Sadly won't work on this model! :(

  • is this actually any good?

  • Yea ive been reading the reviews. and people are giving the thumbs up.( for the price)
its just hard to give up this because its $700
i was about to spend $1500 on an epson. but didnt end up doing it for some reason..

Anyone here on ozbargain actually used it, and know first hand the quality?

Also what happens if i plug in a 1080p source into it? PS3

    • I cannot guarantee this, but I believe it will simply downscale the the signal to 720p.
I know this is true with the projectors we use at work.

  • for home use i really wouldn't look at anything outside 1080p
    Contrast Ratio:
2100:1 Typical (Full On / Full Off)is pretty horrendous for home use too…(mostly dark scenes in movies and games will be difficult to see) my mate got the previous model, which was about the same contrast ratio, not bad for the price… but if you want something for home look at the home HD models… will do a much better job as far as movies etc go…

the starting price however is double! so this is a pretty good cheap projector. also 3d ready which is interesting!

  • Looks like a solid projector but from my experience if you're in the market for a projector I would recommend the Acer H5360.

It's a gorgeous projector at a similar price that does: HD 720p, 2500 ANSI, 3200:1 contrast ratio, HDMI input and is one of the few that support Nvidia 3D vision.

I know not everyone cares about 3D but for those that do make sure the projector supports 3D vision out of the box if you want hassle free plug-and-play 3D gaming and movies. Just imo but I love my Acer projector :)

    • +1

I'd be interested in 3D at home if there was an affordable RealD LP or DepthQ type polarizing device; but not LCD shutterglasses, they are awful IMHO! ;)
