Thanks!, It is just what i needed, instead of using all those online dodgy converters.

Now just waiting for a good windows office deal that isn't targeted…

    • eBay.com

You can buy cheap keys there!

    • +2

It seems like this free PDF Conversion Tool also does the conversion online!
      Uninstalling now…

      • Interesting!
        How do you do this?
Do you have the website link?

        • Tried to convert from and to PDF, it actually says 'uploading…'. Other clue is it doesn't work without internet connection.

          • @leonz: Aaah, I see what you mean - this download does the conversion via the internet (I read it as the is a different version online, so you don't need to install this program).

    [Windows 10] Free

I thought the same for a second

Now I know why you're very popular commenter. Keep up the annoying work that you're doing mate.

Glad it annoys you. Regards to your brother Tim.

            most members on Ozbargain.

            Most or atrolling few?

            Proof of your claim?

          • +2

@Tam: The hide button is directly below every comment on the right hand side. Select it and tick the option on any one of jv's comments.

            • @alvian: @alvian - Thanks for the advice. Awesome…

      • I would say 'regular' rather than 'popular'.

        • +2

          I would say 'regular'

          I do love my prunes

    • I thought that also, a lot of folk don't know that Word has a PDF Converter built in.

      • +1

Not the 2002 version i'm using.

    Who is developer roxy

    • Perfectly valid question, as most people probably don't want to install a surreptitious cryptocurrency miner or click-farmer.

In the case of Roxy, it appears they are a small Russian developer who has been publishing format-conversion apps on Windows Store for 2 years.

      • +1

        You had me at Russian.

      • Just curious, where did you get this information?

  • Thanks.

  • Thanks

  • I wonder why you are not able to login using work office365 account to get this? Only personal one accepted.

    • +1

I wonder why we even need to log in at all

      • Being part of their marketing list, I suppose….

    • To force people to sign up for accounts, leading to them using said accounts on their home devices, leading to potentially more sales and/or reliance on the Windows Store on subsequent devices.

      • … and the only way to use the Windows Store is to have Windows Update active … NO THANKS!

  • Cheers!

  • Try that again
Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help.
Try that again Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help.

Keeps happening and I keep trying…

    Edit: Finally worked. Thanks.

  • I need something that will providing PDF merging and page reordering. I've done my Google searches, but can anyone recommend a low cost/free product that does this?

    • +7

      Pdfxchange, really good.

      • +1

cannot upvote higher. I use this software exclusively for all staff in the business. Love its measuring and ability to open separate PDF's up side by side by dragging out tabs into new windows.

      • I second this, side by side viewing ability cannot be overstated. PDFxchange recently got rolled out at my work, and it's amazingly feature rich.

    • +8
    • I use NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2). it's free as can be (open source). Does page reordering/interweaving and inserting etc.

I'll check out the other 2 mentioned above as well.

    • PDFSAM (PDF Split and Merge)

    • Thanks for providing some of the suggestions, guys! I purchased wondershare pdf for some people in the office and they hated it, the extract page feature is good but the sign feature is not as good as Adobe Reader one.

  • Irfanview

  • +1

Thanks, I'm on a Mac and still got it, I'm sure one day I'll return to PC and have a use for this.

  • Thanks, downloaded

  • Thanks - very useful.

  • +1

Any suggestions for something that can let you fill out a PDF and save it?

    • +4

Adobe Acrobat Reader can do this as part of the free version. The option is down the right side called "Fill and Sign"

      • Yes, thanks. I should have been clearer as some forms are not set up to be digitally filled out. For those, I would create text boxes or comments in the appropriate areas. Did this in the office with the full Adobe Acrobat but don't work there anymore!

    • It says ‘@ Microsoft’, not ‘From MS’.

    • Just dropping by a neg.

It’s like saying, electronic devices should have warning to not take them in bath/water.

    • Negging because you don't like the title? Low blow.

    • Beware the person who posts an app deal and neglects to mention it's not a genuine apple product

    • -1

There are plenty of free pdf conversion tools out there.
I'll remove the neg, but only because there's L plates involved.

    • +2

You have a point about the confusing title but that is an invalid reason for a neg vote. If you spotted an issue with the title and/or the description, please use the Report button and explain to a moderator, who will then make an appropriate edit. The title has been changed to @ Microsoft Store to reflect that this isn't a first party MS app.

  • What's a good non-Adobe app for editing/adding/removing text on PDFs?

    • NitroPDF Pro

  • Compress file option - gets to a small size, but noticeable degradation of pictures.

No settings available to improve image quality.

  • This is barely relevant, but this week I needed to combine and compress a PDF. I used ps2pdf on the linux commandline. Too easy!

  • This is definitely a deal - but if anyone requires at app for work that perfectly converts every PDF to DOC then I'd highly recommend Acrobat Pro 2017.

Pricey (but who cares if work pays for it), is the last version before yearly subscriptions were required and the conversions are flawless.

  • Thanks. Installed and used today. Was a decent conversation but not perfect. Good deal at $0

  • +1

I usually use google chrome for my PDF conversions. Just open (CTRL+O) the relevant file in chrome, go to print (CTRL+P) and in destination field you will see an option to save as PDF

  • Anyone know if this converts to pdf v1.3 or 1.4?

  • Thank OP!

  • if you just need to convert 1 or 2 docs, sign up for Adobe cloud free trial, than cancel after 7 days.

    • and don't forget to use 10 minutes email service too :)

  • Is it expired ? Mine says 56% off at $5.95 …

  • Now that this has expired, can anyone recommend a good, free converter for PDF to Word documents?

    • MS Word since 2013.

    • Anyone ?
