the black one fades easily :(

    • +19

The trick is never to wash them.

      • +15

I wear them under some old trackies to keep them clean.

        • +3

Ah, I see you are also a learned man of culture

    • I just chucked out 2 pairs - yes faded quite a bit.

  • If only Uniqlo stocked a wider range of lengths in store!

    • +4

they've got free adjustments in store

      • Really?! I never knew this. Is this available at all stores?

        • +1

Should be. I know the one at Indro does it

        • yes, it free.

      • +2

Yeah but cutting the hem off a tapered fit means it's no longer correctly tapered. Not only is it a pain to have to go back to the shop to pick it up, but it's not always a good result and they didn't refund me when I came back saying it was the wrong size.

  • I had 4 pairs of this chinos.

    • +14

      What happened to them?

    • +1

Bender: Whoever this guy is he’s a master of suspense!

  • +1

Bought a couple from last deal.

Happy with purchase and pants fit true to size.

    • Really? It doesn't look like it does according to their size chart.

      • The 34in I bought fit the same as other 34in pants I own.

        • +1

That's not what 'true to size' means.

          • @haru: Not sure. Because of the stretch material, I dare say i'm a 32 but the 31s are nice and snug.

          • @haru: Their size 29 is 29 inches, my waist is 29 inches. Couldn't be more true. What are you seeing?

            • @ilu: For each size I'm seeing a 'nude measurement' and 'garment measurement' and a discrepancy between them.

              • @haru: Two reasons for that. First is that the garment sits lower than waistline (as pictured), second is that size should be slightly larger than nude so they actually fix without cutting in. Being a stretch fit may also come into the equation.

It certainly wouldn't make sense to call them size "30 5/7" or even "30" if the expectation is waist size, that would be untrue to size.

They could just as easily refer to the sizes as S/M/L etc and still be true to size as the references are correct.

                • @ilu: I wish all garments were true to size. That would give consumers more choice. Eg some people like their pants tighter than others and vice versa, and so can purchase whatever size would suit them best across all brands.

                  • @haru: Hear hear.

    Super comfortable. I highly recommend

    Great chinos.

    • for being stretchable.
  • Why isn't shopback listed for cash back? Isn't it 5%?

  • Are these available in store as well at the special price?

    • +1

It's the same price in store too :)

      Directly from website

      Q. Do you have the same price online and in the store?

A.From time to time we offer or participate in online exclusive promotions. As a result we are unable to always guarantee the same prices will be available both online and in the stores. However, the promotion terms and conditions will always specify if this is the case.

      • That Q&A doesn’t really support anything you said in the first line

        Cheers, thanks

Why is a saving of $10 considered a front page bargain.

    • +3

Can you get these for cheaper?

    • +2

No idea. Cotton On do chinos for $39 RRP…
      https://cottonon.com/AU/men/mens-pants/mens-chinos/

      • these ones feel way way better.

I got rid of my cotton on ones (the cuffed ones) and wear these ones instead.

    • +10

20% off isn't enough of a saving for you?

      • +6

Exactly. There area always random deals on here to save fifty cents on (profanity) mcdonalds cheeseburgers and what not, yet this is the one he takes issue with..

    • +2

Cos 20% off. 5% off ebay codes make front page too.

    • -2

Because people on OZB go gaga over any discount at Uniqlo thus the upvotes.

Uniqlo were great 7 years or so ago, now the quality has dropped off and there are so many cheap fast fashion brands in the market now.

  • +2

    Uniqlo

  • +2

Not exactly the most flattering looking cut. It's never a good sign when clothing doesn't even look good on a model.

    • +1

Who the hell tucks a t-shirt into chinos?

      • It's so you can see the chinos. They are selling chinos if you haven't noticed.

Next online order you do, maybe you should email the store asking to buy the socks the shoe model is wearing.

    • Yeah I don't think these are 'slim cut' in any sense of the word

    • -1

You definitely don't want to have any wide hips wearing these ones.

  • +1

How long does this deal normally run for?

    • Its ending today

      • Where did you read that? Was hoping to go in on the weekend.

        • i asked in store. But looks like the online price is still $39

  • +1

Heading off to Uniqlo tomorrow to check these out. Thanks OP!!

  • Bought these for 169HKD (approx 30AUD) less than a month ago. Nice trousers that are very comfortable.

  • I've bought about 6 pair of these and they have been amazing. Perfect fit and grrat fabric, however recently i noticed the article number update and the refreshed versions definitely have a stiffer less soft feeling fabric which is disappointing.

You can tell the difference immediately between the Navy Slim Fit 403 vs 413.

    Hopefully they soften over time.

  • any other good alternatives to uniqlo?

  • +1

Great chinos, I have about 6 pairs or so - use them at work etc. and work flawlessly. Might get more now.

And as others have mentioned, they are all 34" length, get them shortened in store for free. :)

    • Hmm even though you can select 32 when buying?

      • They must have recently started doing this, always used to be 34" only.

I'm a 30" length anyway so need to get them adjusted regardless.

  • +2

Damn, seems like slim fit is mainstream fashion these days. I have chunky legs and every time I find pants that look good, I can only pull them up to my knees :(

    • How far up are you wanting to pull up a pair of long pants?? I don't think I can pull any of my pairs of long trousers/chinos past my knees, and I don't have chunky legs.

      • +7

Probably up to his waist, at least.

    • +1

slim fit isnt that tight, these look baggy to the pants i wear

  • asos chinos are better

  • When its FADE . just get new one. simple.

  • I got a pair of uniqlo chinos some time ago - they are good.

  • is this online exclusive?

    edit: nvm found my answer

  • What chinos are tighter than this❔

  • -1

this is the best, the best I ever had, best I ever had.

  • Are they days of decent $20ish chinos gone?

  • Bought 2 skinny fit chinos from Uniqlo a couple of months ago. Really happy with the quality and comfort.

  • is ultra stretch $39.90 as well??

  • +1

    Ultra Stretch isn’t on sale.
