    I believe they're trained in KL, Malaysia. Whether that changes your mind is up to you of course :D

      Malaysian air regulation seems to be better.
      Malindo is a subsidiary of Lion Air, which has a very poor history, aside from the Boeing max crash.

      I suppose it comes down to how much cheaper, and how bad the connections.

  Going there might be exciting to bear the very long hours , however just imagine how tiring would be coming back . Went in EASTER with Cathay and I was glad flying direct with them .

  i've flown malindo , excellent airline , you get meals including in the price, had no issues with service. Pilots are excellent communicate with passengers throughout the flight and smooth landing/take off, not sure what more people want. The Parent compnay Lion Air's safety rating took a hit because of the 737 MAX incident which now we know is ENTIRELY Boeing's fault.

    I agree, I prefer them over Malaysian for Perth to Kuala Lumpur. Seats have heaps of room and you can check your bag in in town. The food is a bit underwhelming but I'll take that any day over a cramped seat.

  As of March 2019 Malindo do not include check in baggage allowance or food on their cheapest fare.

  Also they do not include ear phones or blanket. These are paid options as of December 2018.

  My advice make sure you bring your own ear phones if you want to use the onboard entertainment.

  Also as a result of the above MAS (Malaysia Airline) has also changed their baggage policy.

  For those flying from Perth to KL MAS also uses A330 on some flights.

  Personally I prefer the older A330 compared to the newer 737-800/900.

    yes, I was wondering why Malindo prices suddenly becomes so cheap and then realised that they have started the budget airline model where you have to pay for your meals and check in bags. Check in bag fee are not cheap so beware of their new pricing structure.
    I would like to know what the new baggage policy is with MAS from Perth to KL. Please advise :)

      It depends on the fare and also how you decide to book your ticket for MAS.

      International is 20kg.
      Domestic is 0kg.

      Transit flight check booking.

    Malindo just changed the food option. Its included on all airfare.

    I was wondering how they would implement who would received food or not. I guess they figured it was too hard or someone in IT forgot to include the food icon.
