PCOMP

Hi guys
I just noticed computer alliance has dropped the price on these to 199, same as the gigabyte LP veraion
The benefit here is the dual fans for better cooling and bettersoftware support (online bios updates and msi afterburner)
Another alternative for SFF gaming

  • Would this be ok in a HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF?

    • Looks tight, the card is 182mm long if you can open up the case and measure
The gigabyte is slightly shorter, that might work

      • I think it will fit, I'm more concerned about the power supply.
8200 elite sff has 240w PSU.

        • Should be fine, quite a few reports that it works no issues with the stock PSU.

I've got a 1050ti LP in a similar Optiplex 790 SFF, which also has a 240w PSU. I7 2600, 16gb RAM. No stability issues. Using a wall power meter, it pulls between 140-150w running Unigine Valley benchmark. Add CPU burn test at the same time saw spike to 218w. Still no crashes, and that is a worst case scenario you would never see in normal use. Normal gaming sees 110-140w used.

    • I have a HP Elitedesk 800 i7 4770 and it fits a 1050ti LP

    • I have seen higher wattage video cards blow an HP SFF motherboard. Might want to search your model for video card support and check the wattage against other models.

      • Yeah did a bit of research… 1050ti low profile is a gamble so I might stick with gtx 1050 low profile.

      • Did you mean it blew the power supply unit (PSU)?

        • Nope. Some of the board's weren't rated to 75w…..
