Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium Mac/Win 1yr Subscription $145 @ Umart

80

Product Name: Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium Mac/Win 1yrs Sub
Model Number: KLQ-00431

I recently changed from Gsuite to Office 365 Bus premium as the 1 year subscription works out much cheaper for a single user business customer like myself.
I use aliases for my emails and 1TB storage included.

  • also got Officeworks price match as I already have 1 lic, was going to use this to add an extra year as Office365 Lic can be added to accumulate 2 years etc

Pretty happy with the lifetime Office 365 key for 5 members I got on eBay for ~$2.

After eBay fees and reseller margin, it's hard to know how Microsoft can make any money out of that deal ;-)

      • I donโ€™t believe MS makes any money off of it (most likely loses out selling a retail licence) - itโ€™s just that we can save a lot by using those legal grey area licences.

I think the implication is you have a key that isn't legal at all (e.g., stolen, bought with fraudulent payment details, not the correct license for your intended use case, etc.).

          • @kwchaz: The Keys are legit, they are corporate keys that enables 100 or so machine activation.

Simply speaking, this is how it works - A company purchase the key and only activates 20 machines. The IT guy will sell the remaining 80 keys $$$ profit.

Only downside of this is if MS finds out, they will deactivate the key but the chance of that is pretty slim.

        • Yes, stolen products are generally cheaper than buying them through legitimate channels.

    • How did you do that??

    • Interested in how you got this, please PM if you remember

      • Just search eBay for Office 365 and arrange by price. Have a look at the amount sold and feedback. Decide if you are OK with getting a login where you won't have access to the recovery email (cheapest), or if you want a key so you can activate it to your email (pay a bit more). They should say in the description if you are getting a login or a key.

Google (do no harm - ha!) recently raised their prices for G Suite by 68% for Australians. Most GSuite users also find that they require MS Office too. That means the minimum annual cost for a single user G Suite Basic (30GB storage) + MS 365 Home account = 8.4 x 12 + 99 = $199.80 - if you want to get the Business subscription (the big highlight is unlimited storage but only 1TB if less than 5 users in your account) then you are looking at $300.60
SO - this deal is looking seriously good (+1) at less than 50% of the cost of G Suite + O365. Now I am playing the devils advocate here as I am both a Google & MS Partner and believe that the Google product is better - however their price jack is just rude - Google needs a new mantra.

Yes I agree. Don't have a problem with the price going up, they are right it has been $50 per user per year since the beginning and our dollar is pretty dismal now in comparison, but I think we may have gotten the biggest price hike as a country in the world. An us resellers get to deal with the disgruntled customers and fallout.

Small rises gradually would have been much better. I'll have a lot of customers now looking at switching soon as their annuals run out I think.
