  • Any good? Can anyone share their experience with this?

How many months/years would this last if situated in a partially shaded backyard wall?

I've had two of these for over 3 years now and they're still going fine. One is in partial shade, and the other is subject to full sunlight. The only criticism is if you need to change hose fittings, the hose is a little narrower than other standard sizes. What this means is that you have to really soften up the end in boiling water so as to get them to fit. Hope this is helpful.

    • im looking at the install instructions and the diagram says to put the screws in "backwards"… seems odd, is that a typo?

I've had one for a couple of years. One side has faded from being in the sun but mechanically sound, would recommend.

  • These types of hoses are usually in the $100 range right?

    • half the price :)

  • Descent value for money at this price but it does feel as cheap as it is. Small diameter hose with cheap fittings.

Mine stopped locking/retracting after about 2 months of use but I just pulled it apart and used the internal hose on its own.

Good for that second or third tap that you don't use often but for regular or everyday use, I'd probably suggest a 'Hoselink" or equlvelant.
