Just did posted up a deal on viofo a129 on eBay but deal was deleted due to banned store?No idea why But here you go, find another one :)

        Samsung got their pro endurance line which is pretty good, I used a evo plus in my a119s only failed once but generally OK

          When you say failed, failed completely and needed replacement under warranty.

          How did you prove it had failed?

          Samsung gave me a bit of the run around regarding what I think was a faulty card.

        I bought 2 sandisk ones, endurance line from Amazon AU. Quite resonable price and even sweeter if you have an expiring Amazon voucher (e.g. mine is $20 off min $80). Too soon to tell whenever it makes any difference.

      Rear camera is plugged in through front camera's specific rear connection

    Does anyone know if the AV input replaces the rear camera? I would like to have the front camera as is, and to input my existing reversing camera as the 2nd input so it can be recorded too.

      It's not through av connector but front camera's USB, and the built of these rear wiring is pretty thick to maintain the video quality , don't think you can use other rear cameras instead of viofos

    and how does the parking function work? I imagine it would have to be hard wired for that to work?

      Well. I like them both but a129 is twin channel setup , if you need front and rear , this one fits perfectly. If you only requires front recording, then either a119 or a119s will do an excellent job. Wifi will enable you to download their app and operate everything through your smart phone for the setup and download footage when needed instantly.

      Yes you will have to purchase a hardwire kit which is three wired ones and connect it to your constant power supply through fuse box.

      You can simply plug and play with suppiled factory wiring through cigarette lighter to give camera power and stick it onto ur Windscreen, off u go.

      Most car forums have write ups + photos for hardwire dashcam installs.

      I installed a wrx and a tiguan with almost zero auto electrical knowledge. Hardest bit was removing trim without breaking clips - especially if you're installing the rear cam.

      Take it to the local mechanic if you're not confident

    Quick one,

    Does this one overwrite the oldest file like Blackvue when memory is full or becomes annoying each time the Micro SD is full and have to manually delete files? I did a bit of search couldn't find anything.

      The UI prompts you to delete the old files when it becomes full, it just needs a one button push response from you.

      …Or you could automate it I believe, either way, it's certainly not a manual delete process.

      Most decent dashcams these days will automatically overwrite old files I believe, I installed this kit on a friend's car a while ago it works a champ. Just remember that you might need to update to the new firmware which supports 3 wires hardwire kit if you could not get parking mode working on your unit, took me quite a while to figure it out.

    Considering this deal does not have 3 wire kit & you have to pay extra for delivery, it is not the cheapest($198).
    For proper parking mode, I think you will have to buy 3 wire kit ($23)
    So, The other deal I see is -

      $203.15 for plus members so that's a better deal too. Just need to set aside $100 for install fees. Jb hifi have people affiliated with them that they can refer you to. Check with a couple of stores.

    Hmmm, high endurance sd seem to only go up to 128gb atm.

    How many hrs would this record on a 128gb sd? With dual channels it will probably guzzle them up pretty fast

    I received mine yesterday,still need to setup,but opened the box, not sure if I received a fresh box. The stickies on cam and spare were not 3m as shown on ebay listing and viofo site. box did not arrive with any seal on it. has anyone received it, please share your experience.

      I just received mine. Same. The box was unsealed. And red stickers without the 3M Logo like on ebay listing.
