    You can get SIM card from airport which gives you unlimited 4G data and some call credits…
    For example NT$700 for 15 days, so about AU$30-$35 for 15 days. So this deal is cheaper at $1 per day but I'd still go for the sim card at airport, you can just swap the sim or chuck in 2nd slot, dispose of the sim later, no need to carry around 2 devices.

    I bought a 10 day SIM card through kkday for about $20 and picked it up at the airport. Easy to do and worked well for our trip.

    Hi OP I am trying to book for a date in July for one day (17 hour layover) but it is not letting me select that in "start" and "end" fields… Are you able to guide me in the right direction?

      There is a 5 days minimum rent. That could be the reason why the reservation page does not allow the date selection. Hope this clarifies.

      The $1/day price is only for Taiwan and the device will only be set to work in Taiwan. If you require for China mainland, we have the service which you can still use Facebook, Google, WhatsApp, Instagram and other apps and websites that otherwise blocked by the firewall.     Hey, I will go back to Taiwan and stay from Dec 2019 to Feb 2020

    But I haven't bought a ticket yet. Is it okay that I can buy this before the promotion due and change the dates and the airports later?

    FYI, it's impossible to use the network only for Taiwan in China. They blocked nearly everything in China by the firewall, COMPLETELY opposite to Taiwan.

    I only stay in Taiwan for two days in June but it doesn't allow me to put two days in start and end days, when I chose the start date, the end date available was at least 5 days later.

      This $1/day offer has a minimum 5 day hire condition. For 2 days, you can try klook (see my other comment above), which will cost 2 x $2.35 = $4.70 and is slightly cheaper than the 5 x $1 renting from Wilh-ma (surely they won't mind you returning the device early). For anyone needing 3+ days, this $1/d will be cheaper.

      Another thing to note is that the klook one just says unlimited data with no mention of speed shaping above a certain limit.

      NTD 4000 deposit will be processed with your credit card as a hold/authorisation. If device loss or damage occurs, there is a replacement charge of NTD 4000. Plugs, cable and pouch has a replacement cost of 100 NT each. If those items are missing, it will be deducted from the deposit
