Do any research on this company, and you'll read some very bad reviews. Whilst I haven't personally used them, I know at least one friend had a less than average dealing with them.

    • My own experience (comment cut and pasted from a previous Digital Centre post):

"I ordered something about 2-3 years ago from them. They charged my credit card, but I didn't hear anything from them about the order until I contacted them a week later. For the next few weeks they gave me the run around, promising on multiple occasions that it would be delivered in a few days but it never was. Then they started ignoring my emails and phone calls, which left me no choice but to get a chargeback through my credit card. Stay well away from these jokers."

Do a search for "Digital Centre" or "digitalcentre.com.au" on Whirlpool and you'll see hundreds of negative reviews, too, such as this thread: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1396169&p…

  • agree with other comments. They dont have the best customer service. I emailed them at least 3 or 4 times with a couple of questions just before purchasing my plasma tv. I was going to get it from them but in the end decided not to as I didnt get 1 response

even though they claim on their website
"If you are confused about any of the latest technologies available, please do not hesitate to contact one of our trained specialists to help you get through the complicated jargon that confuses most of us. We aim to serve you both before and after your purchase for years to come."

I went elsewhere for my tv & glad I did. If they couldnt be bothered responding to my emails before they took my money…. what would it be like after

  • Went there to check out a Pioneer SC-LX83 and it is basically an empty shed, they have minimal stock if any and further more upon going to other retailers I have learnt that they grey import the Pioneer receivers. I can do this myself from ebay.com.hk with its own associated pros and cons, I don't need to pay them for the experience.

So unless you can go there and actually physically see the item and pay for it then I would steer clear, but given my experiences there will be nothing there when you do go there except dissapointment.

I've heard some bad stories about these guys. Beware. They grey import their stuff don't they?

  • Interesting posts above, I've never actually bought anything from them, so can't comment on their service, but buyer beware!
