Happy Birthday! Now get out of here.

    • Happy birthday! It's all do…who am I kidding, party on!

  • +1

Lounge full of millenials! At least this takes pressure off the Amex lounge

  • +1

My partner and I are dinks. Would only ever go the cheapest jetstar flight but this could be an exceptional bargain if we eat at the airport for a few days.

If QANTAS is offering the best deal for your international flight, then it's a deal.

If you aren't, save hundreds of dollars (compared with flying QANTAS) and pay around $50 on another lounge where it's much more peaceful
    eg https://www.plazapremiumlounge.com/en-uk/find/asia/australia…

    • -1

Lol why did you type Qantas in all caps? Because their logo is?

      • +3

        From Wikipedia

"QANTAS", an acronym for "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services"

        • What about the rest of us??

    • Agree. And those who are not Frequent Flyer members have to pay $99.50 for membership. Ridiculous, isn't it. I think this is the only airlines that ask to pay for a loyalty membership account.

  • +1

    Will Officeworks price match?

  • +1

Lounge access costs Qantas $1.40 per person.

    • Source?

      • +2

        Sauce is 5c extra

  • -4

@Serathis, you assume that a person booking a trip must be registered in Qantas Frequent Flyer program, otherwise a AUD 99.50 joining fee applies. Please correct the title and add this into description.
Moreover, phrase "Details on how to redeem your lounge pass will be emailed to you" means that there might be other conditions on pass redemption.

I have won a complimentary lounge pass with Qantas a few years ago, but couldn't use it as my Frequent Flyer status was lower than required to be eligible for pass redemption.

    • +1

You can't have a lower than required status to be eligible for pass redemption. Passes can be redeemed for all members

      • -2

Passes cannot be redeemed by all members. They can be redeemed by members who are eligible.

See some explanation from Qantas I received in 2017:

"We've sent a Complimentary Lounge Invitation in digital form where you can check and linked to Eligible Flight via Complimentary Lounge Invitations Portal qantas.com/freeloungeinvite for all Eligible Frequent Flyer member.

Your current tier level was not eligible to receive Complimentary pass however, you can purchase Qantas Club membership. Individual Qantas Club Membership is available for 1, 2 or 4 year.

You can find further information and join instantly at qantas.com/joinqantasclub."

I guess you’re confused between receive and redeem.

Your current tier level was not eligible to receive Complimentary pass

Silver receives one comped Pass each year

  • serious question

is it against the rules or poor form to say grab a few sandwiches or similar to take it on to the plane?

    • +2

Take as much out with you as you can, anything non-perishable can go in the classifieds.

    • No, they encourage it in fact.

Some of the lounge pack grab N go boxes exactly for that reason.

Late running business people wanting to grab more food on flight.

    • obviously, im not referring to taking a big black garbage bag

  • +1

"This is your chance to escape crowded airports and food court queues "

The International business lounge in SYD is the busiest most crowded place in Sydney Airport LOL

    • Yeah because that's the only lounge in the network /s.

  • +1

If you want access to Perth Airport Qantas lounge, just wear high-vis and steel-cap boots. Nobody will give you a second look.

  • If the flights were already booked, is this possible?

  • Does anyone have "QANTAS lounge passes that they used to send members annually" and have you used them recently? (I have been given some)

    • +1

Used one that came with a credit card last week.
      Not a problem at all

    • I'm thinking more, decades old passes with no expiry date on them :)

  • How long does it usually take after making a new booking for the lounge pass to appear in your account? Also does it make a difference if there is a domestic leg in my journey (however all under the same PNR number)?

  • +4

is this still working?? clicking on the link doesn't give me a page to register anymore

    • +1

      Yea I'm wondering the same…

  • +3

Can this be marked expired? I get some words about who is eligible but no link to register, just:

"If you have received an email, please refer to the instructions within on how to redeem and for the offer terms and conditions."
